Chapter 109: The Taciturn General and the Cold Little Princess of the Western Regions 9 (2/2)

Seeing that Su Jinge's maid had not come yet, Lin Xi stretched out his hand and snapped his fingers. An ordinary-looking man walked out of the crowd without avoiding Su Jinge at all.

"An Yi, go buy two masks, one for her and me."

This "she" is obviously Su Jinge.

An Yi, Lin Xi's secret guard, has a total of ten people, ranked from one to ten, all of them are elites, and usually only An Yi follows him.

"Yes, Master."

Without asking the reason, all he had to do was obey the order, and An Yi quickly disappeared from sight.

Su Jinge leaned in Lin Xi's arms, listening to their conversation quietly, wondering why he bought the mask.

Suddenly, I smelled a faint woody scent coming from Lin Xi. Only then did I realize that the two of them were a little too close.

Su Jinge used the unsprained foot to try to leave Lin Xi's arms, but was pushed back and her palm covered the man's chest.

She nervously withdrew her hand, her eyes panicked, and a hint of crimson appeared on the tips of her ears in the darkness.

"General, I can sit down by myself. I won't bother you anymore."

There was less alienation in the cold voice.

Lin Xi thought about it and let go of her shoulders. The two of them waited for An Yi to come back. Su Jinge forgot to ask why they went to buy a mask.

Su Chaoge here saw Su Jinge being pushed away by the crowd, and walked towards the stall in front without caring at all. He was so old, not a child anymore, he should be able to take care of himself.

She hummed a song and walked from shop to shop, not caring at all about her abandoned sister, just like when she was a child.

"Master, the mask has been bought back."

An Yi handed two masks to Lin Xi and hid in the dark again.

Lin Xi put the wolf mask on himself and the rabbit mask on Su Jinge's face.

Lin Xi was very satisfied that the upper half of his face was covered, as no one would recognize him this way.

"General, what are you doing?"

Su Jinge asked in confusion, but did not stop Lin Xi's behavior and put on the mask obediently.

"Princess, if you're sorry, I'll take you to the infirmary."

After saying that, Lin Xi picked up the person again and carried him horizontally and walked towards the clinic.

Almost everyone in the Star Country knew his appearance. Although it was night, it was inevitable that someone would recognize him. If he was seen hugging a woman, rumors would probably spread tomorrow.

If this is discovered by someone with ulterior motives, it will do Su Jinge no good and will be bad for her reputation.

Su Jinge didn't react that much this time. After thinking about it for a while, he understood Lin Xi's purpose.

What she thought was right. Lin Xi was different from other men. If someone else met him, he would definitely hold her and walk out regardless of her wishes.

In the end, she was forced to marry him, even as a concubine. This world is always more harsh on women.

But Lin Xi was different. He even asked her to wear a mask, fearing that she would lose her reputation.

Su Jinge gently pinched the corner of Lin Xi's clothes with her fingers, thinking, let her stay in this embrace a little longer.

She had never been held in the arms of her father, the emperor, and her mother since she was a child. She was raised by a wet nurse and could only watch Su Chaoge playing in their arms. She was envious, but so what? No one cared about her.

But Lin Xi gave her a warm feeling, making her feel that she could be protected. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
