Yun Yuan took a quick look and then lowered her head, holding the zither while maintaining a saluting posture.
The third prince was dressed in an exquisite blue robe, with red lips and white teeth. He secretly touched the arm of the man in the black robe with the fan in his hand, signaling him to speak.
The man moved away unnoticed and whispered, "You don't need to worry about these rules outside. You should deal with the people you call yourself."
The Third Prince opened his fan, shielding the lower half of his face. He coughed softly, then stood up and said to Yun Yuan, "Get up."
"yes."
The third prince looked at the girl opposite him with interest.
"I've heard that Hongxiu Zhao has three unique skills: Mei Niang's dance, Tu Mi's tea, and your zither skills. Why don't you play the 'Eighteen Beats of the Hujia' today and let me hear if you are up to this unique skill."
Yun Yuan bowed again gracefully and placed the piano in her hand on the piano stool.
Under the gaze of the three people, a pair of slender white hands placed on the surface of the piano and gently hooked it. Along with the lingering piano music, an ethereal and soft sound rang out.
"When I was born, the Han Dynasty was in decline. After I was born, the Han Dynasty declined..." (A poem by Cai Wenji of the Eastern Han Dynasty, describing her tragic experiences as she was captured by the Xiongnu during war, yearning for her homeland, and finally reluctantly leaving her children to return to the Han Dynasty.)
After going through many worlds, Yun Yuan's piano skills have reached perfection and the level of superb skill. He played the "Eighteen Beats of the Hujia" so plaintively that it took the three of them a long time to come back to their senses after the sound of the piano disappeared.
"That's right," said the Third Prince. "I'll redeem you. Come with me and play the zither for me and me alone, how about that?"
"It is a blessing for Shiqin to be favored by you, but I cannot make the decision on redeeming my freedom. Please ask Madam Yang in the building."
The third prince put away his fan and tapped it lightly on his knuckles, making a crisp sound, with the corners of his mouth raised.
"Don't worry about this. As long as you are willing, everything will be fine."
Yun Yuan looked at him with a clear expression: "I am willing."
The Third Prince smiled as his eyes fell on her fair skin outside the veil. He suddenly wanted to see what she looked like.
"Take off your veil."
Yun Yuan's long eyelashes drooped slightly, and she took off her veil submissively.
What a face that was, with skin as white as jade and lips as red as vermilion, it was incomparable to anything in this mortal world. It would not be an exaggeration to say that it was a fairy from the Moon Palace.
The third prince was astonished and looked at her stupidly.
The man in the moon-white robe narrowed his phoenix eyes slightly. Yun Yuan felt a mysterious aura locking her down, and suddenly she couldn't move.
"Jiuli, is there something wrong?" The man in black came back to his senses and asked.
Yun Yuan's pupils trembled, and her cherry-pink lips instantly lost their color. The look she gave the other party unconsciously carried a hint of pleading.
The third prince's heart tightened and he subconsciously protected Yun Yuan.
"Jiuli, you scared Shiqin."
The man named Jiuli restrained his aura, put his right hand behind his back, and snorted coldly.
There was no demonic aura, and no form revealed. Could it be that he was mistaken? He looked at Yun Yuan's unrealistically beautiful face again and frowned.
Yun Yuan fell backwards as if she had lost her support. The Third Prince who was standing in front of her did not notice it, but the man in black clothes was quick enough to pull her up.
"Thank you." Yun Yuan expressed gratitude.
The man nodded slightly, and after Yun Yuan stood still, he quickly withdrew his hand.
Seeing this, the Third Prince pulled Yun Yuan to sit on a stool, glared at Jiuli with reproach, and asked his entourage to call Mother Yang over, as he wanted to redeem Yun Yuan.
Mother Yang came over quickly and was confused for a moment when she saw Yun Yuan's face, and then her eyes became clear again.
"Shiqin is a big star in our building. If we want to redeem her, we need at least this amount."
Mother Yang held up five fingers.
The third prince took out a five hundred tael silver note and handed it to Mother Yang, who accepted it with great joy.
"From today on, Shiqin is yours, sir. Don't worry, Shiqin has been trained very well and can do any job. She will definitely satisfy you, sir."
The third prince felt a little uncomfortable, and the tips of his ears turned red.
"Don't talk nonsense. I redeemed Shiqin just to listen to her music. There's nothing else to do."
"Yes, yes!" Mother Yang smiled ambiguously, "I have something else to do in my house, so I won't disturb you and Shiqin from spending time together."
The Third Prince waved his hand and said, "Let's go."
Mother Yang walked away with her hips twisted. The Third Prince looked at Yun Yuan carefully and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that she was not angry.
He didn't know why he cared about what she thought.
"Don't worry, I'm a gentleman and I won't do anything else to you."
Yun Yuan lived in the Third Prince's mansion and became one of the many musicians there.
The Third Prince would call her to play the piano in front of him every day. The other musicians were treated coldly and felt a sense of crisis, so they excluded her openly and secretly.
"I heard she came from a brothel. She's nothing more than a prostitute. She really defiles the elegant sound of the zither."
"That's right. We are all noble people. Only she is trying to attract attention. How can she live under the same roof with us?"
They were indeed not worthy, so Yun Yuan kicked them all out and occupied the entire Qinyuan alone, so they were no longer living under the same roof.
The musicians were dissatisfied and went to complain to the Third Prince. The Third Prince was stunned when he heard this, and then showed a look of resentment.
"Miss Shiqin is as weak as a willow in the wind. Are you sure it was she who drove you away, rather than you ostracizing her and deliberately framing her in front of this prince?"
"Your Highness, it was indeed she who drove us away."
The Third Prince didn't believe it and said coldly, "Since she chased you away, it means you are not lovable. You all don't need to go back. Go to the accounting office to get some money and leave the palace to make a living."
