The men were secretly plotting something, but they seemed to have reached a truce and didn't show it in affecting Mu Lingxi's meal.
Mu Lingxi ate one small steamed bun after another, along with porridge, like a little hamster with her cheeks bulging out, looking incredibly cute.
There was a glass of warm water next to her. Bo Changling had waited until the water was at a suitable temperature before placing it in front of her, just in case she was thirsty.
The production team was quite worried. Their live broadcast had already been delayed by a full two hours, and if they didn't start broadcasting soon, there was a risk of an accident.
Fortunately, whether Mu Lingxi heard his thoughts or not, she quickly finished eating and then suggested that they go to open for business.
She ate quickly, but her table manners were excellent; however, because it was late summer, she was covered in sweat.
The girl's fragrance grew stronger as her sweat evaporated, and even Qin Che and the others, who were sitting further away, could smell it, not only Bo Changling, who was sitting closest to her.
The rich fragrance of peach blossoms makes one feel as if they are in a sea of flowers, immersed in the fragrance.
Bo Changling initially had some doubts, but now he is basically certain that it is indeed the girl's body fragrance, which is truly alluring.
Moreover, he looked at Han Jin not far away, who seemed to be staring at his Xi'er as well, and it seemed that the other party had also noticed this fact.
Bo Changling's slightly upturned lips fell silent, a hint of displeasure creeping into his heart. His gaze darkened, his eyes turning as black as ink.
It seems some people still don't understand their place, daring to covet Xi'er!
Bo Changling's mind raced, trying to figure out what method he could use to make Han Jin give up his delusions.
As Bo Changling was deep in thought, a soft, sweet voice interrupted his train of thought, drawing all his attention to Xi'er.
"Let's hurry up, it's getting late. By the time we get there it will be noon, and it will be very hot."
Mu Lingxi always felt that it was because of her that the program team changed the time, but she had no evidence, only suspicion.
She kept thinking about this, so despite being hot, she took the initiative to suggest making amends.
Moreover, she could always feel the unfriendly gazes of Song Bao'er and the others, which meant they held a grudge against her. So she had to do something.
Mu Lingxi didn't come to this show to make enemies. She really did oversleep, and it was definitely her fault. She can't blame anyone else but herself.
Her understanding nature, especially the tearful eyes filled with deep apology, suggested that her apology was very sincere.
Upon hearing Mu Lingxi's words, the production crew, especially the director, were moved to tears.
In the backstage control room, the director nodded frantically, clearly agreeing wholeheartedly with Mu Lingxi's suggestion.
Bo Changling, however, was not in a hurry at all. He always put Mu Lingxi's feelings first. Seeing the anxiety and apology in the girl's eyes, he took the initiative to make a suggestion.
"No rush, we haven't done our hair and makeup yet. You can go back and wash up first. You must feel uncomfortable after sweating so much."
As he spoke, he helped Mu Lingxi wipe the fine sweat from her forehead, and smelling her delicate fragrance, he felt a strange sensation in his heart.
Bo Changling's words were like a fuse. Song Bao'er and the others had already been ignored and treated as supporting characters for so long, and they were already annoyed enough.
Now, seeing how carefully and considerately Bo Changling treated Mu Lingxi, and how he even took up everyone's time for her sake, Song Bao'er couldn't stand it anymore.
She's the family's little princess, always getting her way, and her family always puts her first. When has she ever been so ignored?
Song Bao'er originally wanted to hold back, but now that she was angry, she couldn't hold back any longer and started lashing out.
"What do you mean 'not in a hurry'? Are we all just waiting for her? She already overslept. If we're not in a hurry now, when will we be? The production team must be frantic. Don't we all have time on our hands?"
Her accusations were anything but polite; she was clearly targeting Mu Lingxi, practically naming her by name.
After she finished speaking, Song Bao'er's feverish mind was slightly calmed down by the air conditioning.
Seeing Bo Changling's face darken instantly, and his fierce eyes, Song Bao'er broke out in a cold sweat and quickly added.
“This isn’t directed at you, Mr. Bo. I’m referring to someone who isn’t very punctual.”
What she didn't know was that if she hadn't added that sentence, things would have been fine; but by adding it, she had angered more than just one person.
Han Jin was still feeling down because Mu Lingxi hadn't looked at him once since she came out.
However, no matter how heartbroken he was, he wouldn't allow anyone to hurt her. This Song Bao'er... it seems she still needs to be taught a lesson.
He slowly put down the cup in his hand, his gentle expression instantly turning cold, and he disregarded all decorum, directly uttering a sarcastic remark.
"Really? The production team has no objections, Ms. Song, you should probably save your breath."
"If you want to go, go ahead. Nobody's stopping you."
Two voices rang out at the same time, but it did not affect their meaning at all, and Song Bao'er heard them clearly.
One voice, warm yet tinged with coldness, belonged to Han Jin, while the other, even more sarcastic, belonged to Yi Changfeng.
Yi Changfeng was still indignant, after all, his Xi'er hadn't looked at him once since the beginning, and he was a little sad.
But when he heard Song Bao'er's accusations, he immediately became furious, his chest heaving with rage, making him want to tear her mouth apart.
Yi Changfeng and Han Jin spoke up at the same time. They had been holding back because they were afraid the girl would feel embarrassed.
