Chapter 426: First Time Entering the Jianghu 3

On the way to Longxi, there was an inconspicuous carriage, pulled by two handsome tall horses. There was also a girl in red riding a white horse next to it, keeping pace with the carriage. The driver of the carriage was Wang Yaozu, who looked like he had lost all hope in life.

He felt that he had boarded the pirate ship of these two women, but unfortunately with his frail body, and having signed a huge escort contract and promised to follow all arrangements, he could only put on a rickshaw driver's coarse cloth clothes, sit on the shaft of the cart, and become a rickshaw driver.

In fact, he didn't even need to whip the horses, the two horses would trot away, and he didn't need to worry about anything. He was just a decoration. The carriage had been traveling for a whole day, and his waist and butt were sore, and he was thirsty and hungry, but he didn't dare to complain at all.

"Lianyi, look ahead and see what's ahead. Let's find a place to rest for a while. The horses have been walking for most of the day."

Wang Zhenzhen, who was sitting in the carriage, raised her hand to lift the curtain and spoke to Lianyi who was accompanying the carriage.

"Okay, I'll go check it out."

Lianyi kicked the horse's belly with her heel, and the white dragon horse immediately sped up, passed the carriage, and went to explore the way ahead.

A quarter of an hour later, Lianyi returned riding the white dragon and said to the two:

"There is a tea stall in front, right next to the official road. We can take a break there for a while."

"Okay, let's go there!"

Wang Zhenzhen nodded and said.

Wang Yaozu also had a smile on his face, and immediately whipped the horses' buttocks with the whip to ask them to speed up.

Quarter of an hour later, the carriage arrived at the tea shed. The shed was not big, with only six wooden tables. The shed was built very simply and could only provide shelter from wind and rain.

"Sir, please sit here!"

The young man in coarse clothes immediately came up with a smile. Especially when he saw Lianyi's face, he was distracted for a moment. It was not until Lianyi called him that he happily followed her.

Lianyi dismounted, letting Bailong chew the grass by himself, and then helped Wang Zhenzhen get off the carriage.

After leaving the town where Wang Yaozu was attacked, the three made new arrangements.

Of course, this was all Lian Yi's opinion. She said directly to the trembling innkeeper:

"Boss, after we leave, you go to the government office to report to the authorities. As for what to say, it's up to you. The government office will take care of the death. The young master's injured guards will stay here to recover. This is the cost of their recovery and accommodation in the inn until they recover and leave."

After Lianyi finished speaking, she threw a gold ingot to the boss.

The boss took the gold with surprise and said hurriedly:

"Thank you, Lady Hero. I know how to tell you so that you won't be exposed."

Lian Yi was very satisfied with her boss's sensible behavior, and then turned to ask Wang Yaozu:

"Sir, did you come here on horseback or in a car?"

"I came in my own carriage."

"Tsk, no wonder you were targeted. With such a big target, why don't you try to disguise yourself?"

"I did it. I removed the Wang family emblem."

"I said you're stupid, and you really are! Without the emblem, people who are familiar with you won't be able to recognize you? When you change your clothes and stand in front of your friends, are you still the son of the Wang family?"

“Is that so?”

Wang Yaozu looked at Lianyi's expression and replied uncertainly.

"Of course! Unless you change your face!"

Lian Yi really admired the intelligence of this young uncle. She glanced at him with disdain and then said to the boss:

"You have a carriage, don't you?"

"Yes, my carriage is definitely not as good as yours."

The boss said immediately.

"Okay, I'll switch with you then."

"This young man's car is very luxurious."

"It's okay. He's being hunted down. There's no need to be so high-profile."

Then the luxurious soft carpets and tea sets in Wang Yaozu's carriage were moved to this inconspicuous carriage.

Wang Yaozu's gorgeous clothes were exchanged for a coachman's coarse linen shirt, and the clothes were left to the boss as compensation. The jade pendant, gold belt, jadeite ring, and white jade hair crown on his body were all confiscated by Lianyi on the grounds of avoiding exposure of his identity.

Then Wang Zhenzhen dressed up as a married woman who came home to visit her relatives, Wang Yaozu was her coachman, and Lianyi dressed up as her bodyguard and maid. They left the town smoothly without being chased again.

Wang Zhenzhen was a lady in her first sixteen years. Although she was the daughter of a merchant family, Wu had brought her up very well. She was not proficient in everything, such as playing the piano, chess, calligraphy, and painting, but she had some knowledge in them. Therefore, she did not need to pretend and had the demeanor of a lady from a noble family.

Wang Zhenzhen was helped down from the carriage by Lianyi, and sat down at a nearby table. She said to Lianyi and Wang Yaozu:

"You don't need to be so particular when you're out and about. Come sit with me! Let's have a simple meal so we can get on with our journey."

"Yes, thank you ma'am for your consideration."

Lian Yi agreed with a smile and said to the waiter:

"Do you have anything to eat here besides tea?"

"Yes, we have vegetarian buns and braised beef. They are both very filling. Customers who come and go like our braised beef."

"Bring a pot of tea, ten vegetarian buns, and two taels of braised beef. If it tastes good, buy some more to take with you when we leave."

After Lianyi finished speaking, she threw a dime to the other party.

The clerk took the change and cheerfully said to the old woman who was boiling water:

"Mom, the distinguished guest would like a pot of tea, ten vegetarian buns, and two taels of braised beef slices!"

"Wutong, serve the tea and buns first, and I'll cut the meat."

The old woman was full of energy, obviously someone who had been working all year round. Her gray hair was tied into a bun at the back of her head, and she wore a reddish-brown headscarf. There were traces of time on her face. She had already made tea skillfully, and took out ten vegetarian buns from the steamer, placing them on three black porcelain plates.

Wutong immediately wiped the wooden table again with swift hands and feet, quickly put tea and buns on the table, turned back and brought up the sliced braised beef for the second time.

"My three guests, please enjoy your meal. If you need more hot water, please call me."

"Thank you for your help!"

Wang Yaozu took a bite of the vegetarian bun and felt like vomiting. Unfortunately, after receiving a glare from Lianyi, he immediately stiffened his neck and swallowed the bun in his mouth.

Lianyi ate a vegetarian bun and drank tea, but did not touch the braised beef. Wang Zhenzhen did the same. In the end, the two taels of braised beef slices all went into Wang Yaozu's stomach.

“This braised beef is delicious!”

After eating and drinking, Wang Yaozu burped.

At this time, another convoy came on the road, with a small blue cloth car in the middle, and about twenty people following it.

When the young man saw it, his eyes lit up and he immediately went to meet him.

"Sir, please come in and take a rest in our teahouse before continuing your journey."

There were quite a lot of people in the convoy, and the tea stall was quickly filled up. Some people even stood outside the tea stall, not caring at all, and just carried the teapot to pour water into bowls to drink.

A young man in purple robe got out of the green cloth carriage. He had a handsome face, a scholarly air, and a slender figure. He got out of the car and glanced at Lianyi's table, then he was stunned and stared at Lianyi for a full minute.

"Sir, you've been staring at me for so long, that's a bit too rude."
