Guan Shengye glanced at her and poured her a glass.
When Zong Ao heard that Yi Mu was preparing to leave the platform, he felt that he still had a glimmer of hope.
"I'm still short of a special assistant. Would you like to come?"
Yi Mu smiled and shook his head: "I bought a storefront and am planning to open a flower shop. I appreciate your kindness. Come on, have a drink."
"Mr. Guan, let me toast you."
Liu Rui's stool had somehow moved to Guan Shengye's side, and she was now less than ten centimeters away from him.
Her upper body pressed against Guan Shengye's arm, intentionally or unintentionally.
Guan Shengye already understood what kind of person she was. He moved his arm away, said nothing, and downed the wine in his glass in one gulp.
Liu Rui's smile deepened, and just as she was about to speak, Guan Shengye stood up.
"We've had enough to drink, and it's getting late. We still need to drive back, Mr. Zong. Yi Mu and I will head back first."
They were only halfway through their meal when Yi Mu stood up, puzzled. "Why do you suddenly want to go back..."
Guan Shengye said, "Something suddenly came up here, and I was worried about leaving you alone, so I'm taking you home."
Guan Shengye nodded to Zong Ao, ignoring his extremely ugly expression, and pulled Yi Mu away.
Once outside, Guan Shengye lowered his voice and said to Yi Mu, "If Liu Rui comes looking for you in the future, stay away from her. She's up to no good."
Another reason is that Yao Yan told him before he left that he must be careful to protect Yi Mu.
He didn't look serious when he said this, but a sentence he said before leaving caught Guan Shengye's attention.
"You've finally met him again, so you should cherish this opportunity."
That guy named Yaoyan is like a prophet; he seems unreliable no matter how you look at him.
But Guan Shengye just had a feeling that he had to listen to what he said.
When Yi Mu died twenty years ago, Guan Shengye had a feeling that made him feel uneasy.
Guan Shengye felt uncomfortable from the first time he met Liu Rui.
The woman's gaze at Yi Mu was unfriendly, and he had a bad feeling that something bad was about to happen.
This was the second time Yi Mu had met Liu Rui. He thought Liu Rui was a nice person, with good manners and no problems.
But Guan Shengye would never harm him, Yi Mu nodded, indicating that he understood.
Downstairs, Guan Shengye paid the bill, and the two returned to Yi Mu's house.
Yi Mu went to the kitchen to make noodles for the two of them. There wasn't much food on the table; they were only half full.
Guan Shengye came out of the bathroom, shirtless, wearing only Yi Mu's trousers.
Despite being 38 years old, he still has abs and V-line, and his arms are well-defined.
Guan Shengye hugged Yi Mu from behind, his hair still dripping wet.
A drop trickled down Yi Mu's neck, causing him to shudder.
He was stirring the noodles in the pot with chopsticks, but the large accessory on his body made things inconvenient.
"I'm hungry," Guan Shengye whispered in his ear.
Without thinking much, Yi Mu nudged him with her elbow: "You should go out quickly, it's hard for me to move around like this, the noodles will be ready in a bit."
"I don't want to eat noodles."
Yi Mu scoffed and said irritably, "You're really something else. Where am I supposed to buy you anything else at this hour? Do you want takeout?"
Guan Shengye gently twisted his chin with his left hand, pointing it in his direction, and smiled, "Idiot, I want to eat you."
He kissed her, inseparable, as if glued together.
Yi Mu had no idea that he had this purpose, and his slightly open mouth gave Guan Shengye the opportunity.
His kiss was domineering, penetrating deeply and leaving no room for retreat, as if he was eager to express many things.
Before closing his eyes, Yi Mu turned off the gas valve, turned around, wrapped his arms around Guan Shengye's shoulders, and deepened the kiss.
