Yi Mu stretched out his arm to block the rather heavy soup bowl. Fortunately, the soup had been served for a while and wasn't too hot.
Itai didn't care at all about the old man who was about to go crazy, and looked at Imu's arm with great anxiety.
"Brother, are you alright?"
"This silly child," Yi Mu pried open his head, then turned and winked at the butler.
The butler met his gaze and nodded.
He stepped forward calmly, pushed aside the eldest and second eldest sons, and helped the old man, whose blood pressure was rising and who was about to faint from shock, leave the restaurant.
"Sir, let's go upstairs. I'll get you some medicine."
The old man was so angry he rolled his eyes. Even upstairs, he was still yelling, "You unfilial son!"
The maid cleared all the food off the table, and a few minutes later, the dining room returned to calm, as if nothing had happened.
The eldest brother mocked Yi Mu with schadenfreude.
“Look at your brother whom you always protect, he just causes trouble. The old man was a soldier when he was young, he has a lot of strength, I hope his elbow wasn’t broken.”
Yi Mu retorted sarcastically without any politeness.
"How can you compare to me, brother? I heard that my sister-in-law brought a machete that time, and the two wounds on your chest have completely healed by now?"
It would have been better if he hadn't said anything; once he did, the eldest brother felt a wave of fear wash over him.
That woman was absolutely reckless. If someone hadn't been there to cushion the blow, he suspected he would have been split in two.
The eldest brother was furious and embarrassed when he thought about how he, a grown man, had been stabbed twice by his wife.
"It's none of your business if my husband and I have a fight."
Yi Mu lowered his sleeves, gave Yi Tai a look, and walked out, saying coolly as he went.
"As long as you don't make such a big fuss next time and embarrass your family, who's going to care about you?"
Behind closed doors, they are a complete filth; outside, they are a model couple.
One is willing to hit, and the other is willing to be hit; who can stop them?
Yi Mu was parked in his car outside the old house.
Yitai rolled up Yimu's sleeve. He had just seen Yimu argue with the boss without batting an eye, so he assumed the wound was nothing serious.
When I rolled up my sleeve, the wound was already swollen and a little red.
"Damn it." Itai couldn't help but curse.
Yi Mu tapped him on the head, "Kids shouldn't use foul language."
Itai didn't want Imu to get hurt, especially not because of him.
"Let's go to the hospital." Yitai started the car.
For such a small wound, going to the hospital is too much trouble; just disinfect it with some medical alcohol.
"No, I'm tired. I'm going home."
Yi Mu was adamant, and Yi Tai couldn't persuade him otherwise, so he had no choice but to drive Yi Mu home.
The house was purchased by Yi Mu after he returned to China. It was a large, quiet 200-square-meter apartment, well-furnished, but lacking any sense of warmth or human connection.
It was Yitai's first time here, and he looked around for a while after entering.
The house, like the people of Yimu, is exquisite, cold, and unapproachable.
Yi Mu poured him a glass of water.
Yitai took the bowl, but didn't drink much of it. His clothes were covered in soup stains from the bowl, and the taste was indescribable.
"Brother, I want to take a shower."
Yi Mu received a phone call. He pointed to the bathroom, walked to the balcony, and answered Xie Tuoyu's video call.
Yi Mu answered the call. "What's up?"
Xie Tuoyu is fine; he just wants to flirt.
He is now a man deeply in love; he feels restless if he doesn't see his beloved for a day.
To be precise, it gets restless every night.
Xie Tuoyu saw the background behind Yi Mu clearly; it wasn't a bedroom. "You're not asleep yet?"
Yi Mu walked to the sofa on the balcony, sat down, put his phone on the glass coffee table, stretched his limbs, and tilted his neck.
"You weren't asleep either, what are you doing?"
Xie Tuoyu blurted out, "I miss you."
Yi Mu lowered his eyes and looked at him with disdain.
"You're not the same Xie Tuoyu anymore, you greasy man."
Xie Tuoyu was fed up. He had been thinking about Yi Mu all along, so how did he end up being greasy?
Just as he was about to deliver a reasoned argument to defend himself, he heard a young boy's voice coming from the other side.
"Brother, get me a pair of underwear."
Without thinking much, Yi Mu stood up and walked towards the bedroom, completely unaware of Xie Tuoyu's face turning completely black on the screen in an instant.
