The boy jogged over, and after seeing what Yitai was wearing, he took off his down jacket and draped it over Yitai.
Yitai turned around, his face frozen.
The boy smiled gently and said, "Why didn't you answer my calls? I was worried about you for so long."
When Yitai saw him, he didn't know what to do with his hands and feet.
He stammered, "How did you find me? I clearly..."
The boy sat down next to him, leaned closer, and reached out to straighten his collar.
To outsiders, there was nothing wrong with the scene, but only Yitai knew that he was angry.
The boy's fingers rubbed against the back of his neck, where there was a scar covered with a band-aid.
The boy's slender fingers tore open the bandage, stroking the edge of the wound intermittently.

The boy whispered a cold sentence in his ear, then looked up and smiled at Yi Mu and Xie Tuoyu.
"Brother Xie told me that you are going to the countryside. Could you take me with you? I've never been before and I'd like to know what the New Year is like in the countryside."
Yi Mu opened his mouth, about to speak.
Yitai interrupted him with an unprecedentedly panicked tone, and said to the boy in a serious tone, "Don't you still have experiments to do? If you don't finish them, your supervisor won't let you off the hook."
The boy smiled and his eyes narrowed.
"I prepared everything in advance and was planning to celebrate with you, but you actually ran away. I'm a little angry."
When Yitai heard him say he was angry, his body trembled.
Yi Mu always felt that there was something strange about the boys' smiles.
Xie Tuoyu readily agreed: "Sure, sure, anyway, my house is big enough to accommodate me. Have you bought the plane tickets yet?"
The boy took out his phone. "I'm going to make a call."
The boy walked away, and Yitai threw his down jacket aside, grabbed his suitcase, and prepared to slip away.

The boy hung up the phone, walked over to him, gave him a warning look, and spoke in a calm and unhurried tone.
"I'll go with you."
After they left, Yi Mu asked Xie Tuoyu, "I have a feeling that something's off about that guy. What do you think?"
Xie Tuoyu slurped the last mouthful of instant noodles into his mouth and shook his head very seriously.
“I think that kid looks pretty good. Haven’t you always thought that Yitai’s attitude towards studying was not proper?”
He made this academically excellent friend, and with him keeping an eye on him, getting into Harvard might not be a problem.
Yi Mu strongly suspected that Xie Tuoyu was deceiving him.
After Xie Tuoyu finished speaking, he realized he was talking nonsense and laughed.
Yi Mu nudged him with his elbow and said angrily, "You think I'm joking with you?"
Xie Tuoyu put his arm around his shoulder and begged for mercy.
“My dear, I was wrong. I think Yitai is already twenty years old, and he knows right from wrong.”
If his friend were truly malicious, Yitai wouldn't have let him get close at all. Don't you think the way they acted looked a bit like they were flirting?
