Xi Junyan didn't have much feeling for Bai Lian to begin with, but it seemed as if some unseen force was pushing him forward.

The family members unanimously condemned Bai Lian for being unworthy of being the Xi family's daughter-in-law.
Following the wishes of the crowd, Xi Junyan proposed a divorce.

Nishi Junyan was so calm that he didn't seem like the other party involved in this marriage.
He glanced at the incredulous Bai Lian and added threateningly, "I like decisive people. If you keep dragging your feet, don't blame me for taking drastic measures."
Bai Lian gripped the hem of her dress tightly, unable to believe that Xi Junyan was speaking to her like that.
She is his wife. Even if she didn't stand with him after the Xi family's incident, she is still his wife in name only.
How could he treat her like that!
Bai Lian was completely unaware that she was applying double standards. Since she couldn't back down, she decided to exercise her rights as the young mistress of the Xi family.
She raised her head, about to speak, when Xi Junyan turned and exchanged a few words with his assistant before turning and leaving.
Bai Lian, still clinging to her skirt, tried to chase after him, but her assistant stopped her with a smile: "Madam, the president instructed me to discuss the details of the divorce with you."
Bai Lian was so angry she almost shattered her porcelain teeth; she would never divorce him.
She knew all too well how much convenience the status of the young mistress of the Xi family could bring her, and for the sake of her future, she would not get a divorce!
Xi Junyan found Yi Mu in the bathroom. His suit was mostly wet, as was his hair, and he looked rather disheveled.
A chill ran through Xi Junyan as he asked, "Who did this?"
Yi Mu took off his coat and shook it. He didn't hide it from him, his face showing disgust: "The second male lead in the crew accidentally caught him doing 'that' with another man. He got angry and splashed water all over me."
Xi Junyan narrowed his eyes, concealing the murderous intent within, and wiped the water droplets from Yi Mu's forehead with his thumb.
“I’ve been thinking about dealing with that shady thing for a year now. But then I thought, since he made things so difficult for you on set, I’d rather wait until you wake up and let you deal with it yourself to get my revenge.”
