The captain had a serious expression, especially when he was facing Yi Mu.
"The two of them will be joining our team. I hope everyone will not reject them, but support and trust each other."
The captain, who had always been calm and wise, suddenly transformed into a slow-witted old cadre.
Yi Mu was a little confused and suspected that he had been bewitched.
Those guys on Planet T, they're all two-faced.
When they have a need, they shamelessly beg for things; once they've developed their business, they switch to a shrewish attitude, acting like they have nothing to do with them and wanting to have their cake and eat it too.
From the time Yi Mu was old enough to understand, he hated Planet T.
Having witnessed their shamelessness firsthand during military competitions, I simply cannot feel any goodwill towards them.
He didn't understand what the captain was thinking; leaving these two behind was clearly just creating trouble.
The captain didn't give him a chance to speak, and stuffed the roasted turtle meat into the hands of the two men.
Yi Mu chewed on fish, staring at the two men with a malicious expression.
The two huddled to one side, trying their best to minimize their presence.
As night fell, Yi Mu and Suo Yanghe kept watch again.
The temperature dropped sharply at night, so they could only huddle together, snuggling close to the fire for warmth.
Yi Mu glanced at the tent in the corner and asked Suo Yanghe, "Do you think they are spies?"
Suo Yanghe peeled a piece of candy for him, saying, "One hundred percent."
Yi Mu thought of how the captain had been secretly talking to Suo Yanghe during the day, so he nudged Suo Yanghe's arm.
"What did the captain say to you?"
Suo Yanghe: "Keep it a secret."
Yi Mu knew his nature well, and snorted, "Speak, what are your conditions?"
Suo Yanghe touched his cheek with his finger, and said in a serious but lewd tone, "Kiss me."
Yi Mu slapped his cheek and said angrily, "Go away, you bastard!"
Suo Yanghe indeed refused to mention it.
Yi Mu had something on his mind and felt restless, so he went to ask Suo Yanghe again after a while.
Suo Yanghe was incredibly tight-lipped and refused to say a word.
Yi Mu stared at him.
Suo Yanghe remained unmoved, poking at the fire with a stick.
Suddenly, a hand landed on his neck, and soft, warm lips pressed against his cheek, giving him a light, fleeting kiss.
Yi Mu's features were all scrunched up, and his reddened ears were not very noticeable in the firelight.
"Now you can talk, right?"
That little brat, she's so wronged.
Suo Yanghe wanted to hold him in his arms and rub and tease him, but at this stage he could only think about it.
He hooked his arm around Yimu's neck and told him what the captain had said to him during the day.
Upon hearing this, Yi Mu's eyes gradually lit up. "I knew it. The captain doesn't seem like such a muddle-headed person."
Those two from Team T have finally found a reliable home.
Unlike other squads, HX squad didn't reject them as much.
Although they were good at talking and always made the two of them call him "Dad," they never skimped on the fresh water and food they were supposed to receive.
Day 7.
The two members of Team T felt it was time to repay Team HX for taking them in, and reported a very valuable intelligence to their captain.
"The military on Planet M cheated by hiding supplies in a cave: mineral water, compressed biscuits, and energy-boosting chocolate, enough to last them until the last day."
The captain had a look of sudden realization: "No wonder they've been so quiet these past two days, they've been conserving their energy."
“I don’t think we can just sit here and wait to die.” One of the members of Team T was inexplicably excited.
He presented a grand vision to the HX team in a way that seemed like empty promises.
"M Squad has six people left, while we have ten. We can absolutely overwhelm them in numbers. If we take their supplies, we won't have to worry about food and drink anymore."
