Chapter 501 The Neighbor Might Be a Big Shot 40

Xia Yunxue knew of a secret passage that led directly outside the palace.

Holding Shao Shao in her arms, she and Yi Mu arrived at the back garden of the Imperial Hospital.

The garden was filled with herbs, and a stream flowed through the middle.

As night falls, mist rises from the stream, and palace lanterns illuminate the medicinal garden, creating a breathtaking scene.

Xia Yunxue couldn't leave yet. She put down Shao Shao, who had already woken up, and told Yi Mu to take the child and leave quickly.

The part where Xia Yunxue enters the palace is not in the main storyline.

Yi Mu was genuinely grateful for her help, but now was clearly not the time to express his thanks.

He picked up the two children and stepped into the cave.

"stop!"

A man's voice sounded behind me; it sounded somewhat familiar.

Xia Yunxue looked at the Sixth Prince in his armor, took a deep breath, and stepped forward: "A-Zuo, you..."

The Sixth Prince looked at her, just like when they first met, his eyes devoid of warmth.

You lied to me.

Xia Yunxue was speechless. She had promised the Sixth Prince that she would only come to the Imperial Hospital to develop an antidote.

Yi Mu put down the two children, walked out of the dimly lit cave, and pulled down the mask on his face.

The Sixth Prince looked at his face and felt that it was familiar. In a flash, he opened his eyes wide and realized that it was the wife of that blacksmith Hu.

Yi Mu's eyes were fixed on the sword at the Sixth Prince's waist, and he took out a curved knife from behind his waist.

"Yunxue, you take the child and go first."

The Sixth Prince said coldly, "None of you will escape."

Xia Yunxue gritted her teeth, ran to the cave entrance, lowered her head, and apologized to the Sixth Prince.

She turned and ran into the cave, then grabbed the two children and ran forward.

Yi Mu intercepted the Sixth Prince's sword.

I've heard that the Sixth Prince is a highly skilled martial artist who has never failed on the battlefield. He once shot and killed the King of the Northern Frontier from a hundred paces away, thus becoming famous in one battle.

Yi Mu wanted to see just how powerful this renowned prince really was.

When the four of them left Cixin Hall, the eldest and second eldest brothers made a name for themselves early on, but Yi Mu, because of his low profile, was little known.

But being low-key doesn't mean he's weak.

The title of number one assassin is not just for show.

The Sixth Prince's sword was a heavy iron sword with a blackened blade, probably stained with the blood of many people. Wherever the blade touched, there was a faint fishy smell.

Yi Mu was not as tall and strong as the Sixth Prince, but he was very agile.

The sword is heavy; the force of its weight is too much for ten people to withstand. If someone tries to withstand a few blows, they probably won't be able to get up.

However, if one can dodge the damage, then the person wielding the sword will have to expend a lot of energy.

Yi Mu just needs to wait until Xia Yunxue has almost taken the child out of the palace, and then find an opportunity to run away.

The original owner practiced martial arts for killing and ambushing; direct confrontation was not his forte.

I wonder how things are going with Hu Tianjin. With over a hundred guards who are masters of martial arts, he should be able to hold out for a while.

During these five years, although Hu Tianjin did not wield a sword, he never stopped cultivating.

Five years ago he was a reckless youth; five years later, he has become mature and reserved, and his inner strength has become more profound and refined.

Each of these guards is a skilled fighter, even if placed alone outside.

But in front of Hu Tianqin, they were like children. Hu Tianqin's fighting with them seemed like bullying.

His blade drew no blood, but knocked down all those who surrounded him. Then, gripping his sword, he went to the back of the Imperial Hospital.

The Sixth Prince had already realized that Yi Mu was stalling for time, so his moves became increasingly sharp, each one blocking Yi Mu's path to survival.

Yi Mu was mindful of his relationship with Xia Yunxue and didn't want to kill her.

However, the Sixth Prince had no such scruples. He was also jealous of Xia Yunxue's different attitude towards Yi Mu, and every move he made was filled with murderous intent.

Yi Mu wasn't going to take the beating for nothing. His eyes turned cold, he gripped his curved blade tightly, and swung it out at a tricky angle.
