Chapter 756 Who is the Infected? (O55)

He should be wary.

Nie Han is a madman; it's strange that he would cooperate so readily.

Yi Mu didn't understand what kind of power the cyborgs possessed. Even if he was incredibly strong, he couldn't withstand a human wave tactic with three thousand people.

He wouldn't be foolish enough to show off; he turned around, almost teleported to the door, and pressed the button.

"It's no use. The door won't open unless you can walk out on your own."

Nie Han's voice came through, carrying an annoying certainty.

Yi Mu gritted his teeth, turned around, and the cyborg that had been moving slowly just moments before was now right in front of him.

Caught off guard, Yi Mu was punched in the face.

It felt like a hard piece of iron had hit his face. Yi Mu fell against the door behind him and spat out a mouthful of blood.

Before the second fist could land, Yi Mu kicked the cyborg away.

His misty blue eyes were now as blue as the water of the deep sea, or as thick as ink that couldn't be dissolved.

Yi Mu switched from defense to offense, unleashing a ball of light crackling with lightning from his palm, instantly wiping out all the cyborgs surrounding him.

After clearing a circle, Yi Mu looked up, picked up the submachine gun that had fallen to the ground, aimed it at his head, and began firing.

A cloud of dust fell, and just as the cyborgs surrounded him again, Yi Mu vanished from his spot, kicked open the crumbling ceiling, and appeared upside down in the command room.

The command room was full of people. Yi Mu saw the old man from that day, Xiang Qing's father, and Yu Die.

He looked at these people with a gloomy gaze and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

"The vaccine is just a smokescreen, isn't it?"

Everyone was retreating. Having witnessed Yi Mu's terrifying combat power, they, with their mortal bodies, probably wouldn't even be able to be crushed by a single finger of Yi Mu.

Nie Han stood up from his seat, seemingly unsurprised that Yi Mu had managed to escape.

He walked around Yimu, clapping repeatedly. "So smart. If only you were on my side."

Yi Mu glared at him, "What exactly is your purpose?"

Nie Han did not answer him; he glanced at the supreme commander.

The kind-looking old man walked up to Yi Mu with his walking stick. Even in such a tense situation, he didn't seem flustered.

"You're a very strong young man." The old man patted Yi Mu on the shoulder, sighed softly, and then changed the subject: "But you're too young. You have to understand that vaccines can't change the fundamental problem."

Yi Mu sneered: "Then tell me, what should we do now to save all of humanity?"

The old man glared at him and raised his voice.

"What do you mean by 'all of humanity'? We have absolutely no obligation to do anything for all of humanity. This apocalypse is the inevitable result of survival of the fittest. The weak don't deserve to live. Their deaths will free up more resources!"

These words, spoken by the head of a nation, reveal a mindset as narrow as a fingernail.

Yi Mu found it utterly unbelievable. He looked at the old man and suddenly asked, "What did you do before the apocalypse?"

The old man seemed very confident in his pre-apocalyptic identity, and declared loudly with his head held high and chest puffed out: "I am a humanities professor at X University..."

Imu let out a laugh that he found utterly absurd. A university professor, here discussing the life and death of all humanity.

He held up a finger and waved it at the old man, "Because of your 'survival of the fittest' mentality, unless you get past me, don't even think about your scheme succeeding."

He had barely finished speaking when Nie Han's voice rang out from behind him, "Is that so?"

Nie Han gently pressed on the back of Yi Mu's neck, and Yi Mu suddenly became unable to move, even his eyeballs were fixed in place, and he could not move at all.

A small patch of skin had peeled off behind his neck. Nie Han reached out and pinched out a tiny chip, then crushed it in front of Yi Mu with a "snap".

It felt as if something had been pulled out of Yimu's body.

Nie Han brought his face close to Yi Mu's, grinned at him, and revealed his gleaming white teeth.

"I've already said it, you are my best work, I like you very much, but if you don't behave, you have to be scrapped."

The beautiful misty blue in Yimu's eyes was gone, replaced by a lifeless gray.

He watched helplessly as Nie Han reached out his hand to him. His stiff body couldn't react, and he could only fall down the hole by the force of the impact.

Below are three thousand cyborgs.
