Monkey is Yi Mu's friend from his hometown. Like his trendy name, he is a clever monkey.
The two came to the big city together. Yi Mu became a star, while Monkey, with his excellent social skills and quick wit, opened a well-known bar.
The place where Yimu was hiding was not far from the roadside, and soon a familiar car pulled up.
Yimu pushed through the crowd and got into the car.
The person who came to pick up Yi Mu wasn't Monkey, but a waiter from his shop.
Since they were all acquaintances, Yi Mu had nothing to be wary of.
The other person noticed that Yi Mu was in a bad mood, grinned, and asked, "Did you have a fight with your manager, bro?"
Yi Mu was overwhelmed with worries. "Don't ask, I'm too annoyed."
He planned to get drunk at monkey's place to drown his sorrows, but the shop was busy today because they said a big shot was coming.
The bar's decor had been completely changed. As Yi Mu followed the waiter in, he saw Monkey directing the staff to clean this and that.
They looked as if they were facing a formidable enemy.
Yi Mu went up and patted the little monkey's bottom. The monkey was so startled that it jumped three feet high.
This is not an exaggeration; monkeys are naturally strong jumpers.
The bar staff were stunned by their boss's acrobatic skills, and after they came to their senses, they all applauded.
Monkey is a bit of a sissy; his speech and actions are all very effeminate.
He was a head shorter than Yi Mu, and without any politeness, he twisted Yi Mu's waist, saying irritably, "You're a man, watch your words and actions!"
Yi Mu got angry as soon as he heard him mention Yan Shengchao. He turned and sat down at the bar, giving the bartender a look.
The bartender smiled knowingly and mixed him his usual drink.
"I got dumped."
Yi Mu downed the drink in one gulp, and as soon as he said that, tears streamed down his face. He hugged Monkey tightly and wouldn't let go, bursting into loud sobs.
Monkey was completely bewildered. He knew about Yi Mu and Yan Shengchao; the two were so close that it seemed like they could run to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get their marriage certificate at any moment.
How could it just end like that?
In their area, Yi Mu was a powerful figure whom no one dared to mess with except for tigers and lions.
But when he got here, he inexplicably went soft. Monkey thought it was because he had been dominated by men for too long.
You should know that in the past, even when Yimu's legs were covered in blood from being caught in human animal traps, he would never cry.
She's heartbroken and crying like an idiot.
Normally, monkey would have comforted his good friend.
But today the bar is hosting important guests, so he can't afford to be negligent.
After coaxing him into drinking two more glasses of wine until he was half-drunk, Monkey told the waiter to help Yimu to the attic to sleep.
The loft above the bar is where Monkey usually rests. It's quite spacious, but not very friendly to tall people.
The dog was placed on the bed, and the waiter, worried that it might get cold, even turned on the air conditioning.
Downstairs, things are already in full swing. Since that important person didn't say they wanted to book the whole place, the bar has to open its doors and welcome guests as usual.
Around seven o'clock, the VIPs arrived at the bar.
Bodyguards in black suits led the way, and the man at the head was tall and wore a strangely shaped mask.
The group of people traveling with me were all quite young, dressed in strange ways, looking a bit like country bumpkins from a small town. Their faces were dark, and they probably had never been to a place like this before, curiously looking around.
Monkey personally led them to the largest private room in the bar, and without them having to ask, brought out the best drinks and the largest fruit platter.
Monkey carefully closed the door, patted his chest, and secretly prayed that these scoundrels would finish their fun soon and leave just as they came, and that they wouldn't cause any trouble.
