Chapter 816 Shocking! A Traffic Star Wins Best Actor! 26

To get back to the city, you have to go through a winding mountain road.

Driving on these roads requires extra caution, even during the day.

On a rainy night like this, with no streetlights on the road, you have to be extra careful.

The driver was driving forward at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, with the windshield wipers swinging from side to side in front of the car.

The rain seems to be getting heavier, and the roads are flooded.

With a scarf behind his neck and an eye mask on, Yimu leaned back in his chair, pretending to sleep.

Bei Zhu and her female assistant were discussing something in hushed tones.

The mountain road became increasingly steep, and Yi Mu was even awakened from his sleep by the extremely bumpy ride, even though it was clearly a paved road.

The driver wiped his face, his voice tinged with barely perceptible fear: "Sister Bei, we might have encountered something evil. We've already circled this road three times."

Bei Zhu put down her phone and looked out the window.

When they arrived, they were greeted by lush greenery and remarked on how beautiful the scenery was.

Looking around now, all you can see is darkness.

Yi Mu pulled off his blindfold, frowned, and asked, "What happened?"

Bei Zhu didn't reply to him, but first tried to calm the driver down: "Old Zhao, drive slower. We're not in a hurry to go back. If it's really necessary, we can find a place to stop and sleep in the car for the night."

The driver was quite frightened, swallowed hard several times, and nodded: "I'll try again."

Five minutes into the drive, the driver saw the tree that had been struck in two by lightning again, and he lost his composure.

"Oh no! It's something filthy, what are we going to do?"

Bei Zhu is a woman, and women are generally more timid than men when it comes to things that are invisible and intangible.

She tried to remain calm, saying, "Stop the car, don't turn off the engine, just run it over if anything happens."

The female assistant huddled up beside him. She glanced up and saw Yi Mu frowning, looking deep in thought.

They couldn't see that there was a woman standing in front of the car.

The woman was dressed in white, her face covered in blood, half her head missing except for one eye. She stared blankly into the car, or rather, into Yi Mu's eyes.

Yi Mu is a fox spirit, something outside of science, so he wasn't afraid of the ghost sister.

He took an umbrella from behind the car seat, intending to talk to the woman and find out what she meant by blocking the car in the middle of the night.

As Bei Zhu watched him drive out of the car, she shouted in a low voice, "Yi Mu, where are you going?!"

She was scared too; her composure was just an act.

There was something fishy going on outside the car, and I don't know where Yi Mu got the courage to go out.

She reached out to pull Yi Mu, but Yi Mu got out of the car first and disappeared into the darkness.

The female assistant gripped her sleeve tightly, "Sister Bei! Don't go down, I'm scared."

How could Bei Zhu ignore Yi Mu? She turned around and tried to pull the car lock, but the lock seemed to be controlled by an invisible force and could not be moved at all.

Bei Zhu cursed and told the driver to find the toolbox and use a screwdriver to pry open the lock.

Outside, the rain was pouring down and the wind was howling fiercely.

The sky was completely dark, and the umbrella in my hand was of no use in protecting me from the wind and rain. A gust of wind blew away the tarpaulin, leaving only the bare umbrella stand.

Yimu threw away the tattered umbrella, put the hoodie on his head, and started walking forward.

He had thought they were still on the mountain road, but when he put his feet down, he realized that the car had somehow driven onto a gravel road, with puddles of varying depths all over the ground.

About a hundred meters ahead was an empty cliff edge, where a woman in white stood.

Yi Mu walked to the edge of the cliff, wiped the rain off his face, and patted the woman's shoulder: "Big sister, I... damn it?"

Looking at this face up close was even more horrifying; besides the blood, there were wriggling maggots dripping down bit by bit.
