Miss Qu and Qu Tu look very alike, but one has a more sinister look and the other has a more elegant and noble look, but both are rare beauties.
Qu Huang prepared a gift for Rong Yan: a silver bracelet.
Rong Yan had seen it on his WeChat Moments before; it had over 100,000 followers.
So valuable, Rong Yan instinctively refused, but Madam Qu took it out and put it on Rong Yan's wrist without saying a word.
"Xiao Rong, your wrists are so slender, it looks really good on you."
Qu Huang smiled as she introduced her husband to Rong Yan.
He was a tall, somewhat arrogant man who glanced at Rong Yan, nodded, and said nothing.
Whether it was just her sensitivity or not, Rong Yan always felt that the man's eyes were full of contempt.
Qu Tu hadn't spoken to Rong Yan the whole way, but now he stepped forward, put his arm around Rong Yan's shoulder, and gave his brother-in-law a forced smile.
"It seems your brother-in-law is tired from this trip. He's still thirsty and too lazy to speak. My wife is introverted, and your behavior has scared him."
Yu Ge's expression was unpleasant. He simply couldn't stand seeing a man with good legs and feet submit to another man, so what?
Qu Huang knew that her younger brother and husband had never gotten along, and seeing that the two were about to start arguing, she quickly changed the subject: "The food is ready, let's eat."
Qu Tu was dissatisfied. His sister was so cool before she got married. There were so many men chasing after her that they could surround her house.
But she ultimately chose Yu Ge, a man who, apart from being good-looking, was extremely chauvinistic, and she didn't know what was so good about him.
The dinner table was fairly harmonious. The two siblings were focused on finding topics to talk about, making their parents laugh heartily. Rong Yan occasionally chimed in with a few words, but otherwise he ate his food.
Since it was still early after the meal, the two elders of the Qu family, along with Qu Tu and Qu Huang, gathered at a table to play mahjong.
Rong Yan didn't know how to do this, so he held the fruit platter and watched TV in the living room.
Yu Ge sat on the other side, constantly texting on his phone, a smile occasionally appearing on his face.
This seemed to be the first time he had smiled since entering the house.
Rong Yan glanced at him curiously, then became engrossed in the movie's plot, only knowing that Yu Ge had gone out twice and returned with a sour expression.
They stayed at the old house until 10 p.m. before leaving.
Before getting into the car, Rong Yan saw Qu Huang pull Yu Ge aside and say something, but he impatiently shook her off, strode into the car, and slammed the door shut.
Qu Tu went to get the car. Rong Yan hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward and whispered to Qu Huang, "Big sister, are you alright?"
Qu Huang gave him a forced smile, her delicate face showing a hint of bitterness, but she couldn't tell her sister-in-law whom she had only met once.
"I'm fine. Tell Qu Tu to drive carefully on the way back."
After she finished speaking, she got into the car, and the car drove away quickly.
Qu Tu parked the car and found Rong Yan standing there in a daze, showing no intention of getting in.
He rolled down the car window, tilted his head slightly, and teased, "Do you want your husband to carry you up?"
Rong Yan snapped out of her daze, blushed, and got into the car to fasten her seatbelt.
There was still some distance to go home, so Rong Yan took the initiative to start a conversation: "Is it that your relationship with your sister and brother-in-law isn't very good?"
Qu Tu wanted to pinch his fair face, but since she was driving, she could only click her tongue twice and say, "You have time to pay attention to other people, but you don't care about the lipstick stain on my clothes?"
So that's what he was angry about. No wonder he didn't say a word on the way here.
Rong Yan explained to Qu Tu, "You know how I married you. There are no feelings between us, so I have no right to question anything you do."
Qu Tu was waiting for him to coax her, but Rong Yan dropped a bombshell, leaving him utterly humiliated and furious.
He slammed on the brakes, unbuckled his seatbelt, and pinned Rong Yan against the car window: "Say it again, we have no feelings for each other?"
Rong Yan looked bewildered. "Otherwise what?"
Qu Tu bit his lip and kissed him fiercely.
