Chapter 117 Raising Zombies 8

"Wait a minute." Master Chunyang turned to look at the baby stroller in front of Xia Linyin. "Is this your child? Why don't I have a servant look after him? It wouldn't be good if the child got scared."

"It's alright, he's brave," Xia Linyin said with a smile.

Master Chunyang looked at her suspiciously and said, "Alright then, I won't be responsible if you get scared and have health problems."

Upon entering the room, Master Chunyang pushed aside the shelves displaying various collectibles, revealing the entrance to a secret passage behind them.

Going down the steps from the entrance, there was a cold and dark basement. Master Chunyang lit the oil lamp on the wall.

The lights flickered, illuminating the surrounding scenery.

The air was thick with the stench of blood and decay. In the dimly lit basement were individual cells, each a dozen square meters in size. Some cells were empty, while others contained zombies.

Smelling the scent of living people, a hideous zombie rushed over, its arms, with fingernails several inches long, stretched out of the cell door, its teeth bared, and it roared as it got stuck between the iron pillars, the iron chains on its body rattling loudly.

"Go back!" Master Chunyang shouted.

The zombie glanced fearfully at Daoist Chunyang before reluctantly retreating to a corner. However, its gaze remained fiercely fixed on Xia Linyin and the others, as if it would seize any opportunity to bite them.

“These are all domesticated.” Master Chunyang said as they walked. “Raising zombies is not like raising any cat or dog you think is fun. You can easily lose your life if you’re not careful.”

"Even though I've been raising zombies for so many years, I always keep talismans and glutinous rice on hand, otherwise I would have turned into a zombie long ago."

Walking to the innermost part, Master Chunyang pointed to the zombie in the largest cell and said, "This was just brought here in the last two days and hasn't been tamed yet."

The zombie locked in the cell was nearly two meters tall, with bloodshot eyes and an extremely fierce gaze.

The zombie roared incessantly, its roars deafening. Chains wrapped around its body, and as it hopped around, dust fell from the top of the cell.

"This zombie is ferocious; you have to be even more ferocious than it to tame it."

Master Chunyang took down the long whip hanging on the wall, opened the cell door, and lashed the zombie with the whip.

When the whip struck the zombie, the spot where it was hit hissed and emitted white smoke, just like being branded with a hot iron.

The zombie roared and lunged forward, clearly expressing its desire to drink all of Chunyang Daoist's blood and tear his body into countless pieces with its sharp claws!

The cracking sound of whips echoed in the basement.

After Master Chunyang unleashed a barrage of blows on the zombie, its roars gradually subsided, and it began to dodge.

At this moment, Master Chunyang put down his long whip, brought over a bucket of blood, used a tool to jam the zombie's teeth, and then placed the bucket of blood in front of the zombie before releasing its mouth.

The zombie immediately buried its head in the blood and began to drink it wildly.

"To tame a zombie, you have to use both the stick and the sweet treat. You have to wear it down slowly, let it know that if it obeys, it will drink blood, and if it disobeys, it will be beaten. In time, it will naturally learn to listen to you."

"However, you must understand one thing about raising zombies: no matter how obedient the zombie is to you, it still wants to suck your blood deep down. Many people who raise zombies don't understand this point. When they see that the zombie is obedient and does whatever they are told, they really think that they have developed feelings for the zombie and that the zombie will not bite them. They raise the zombie as a pet, and the result is that without exception, they are bitten to death by the zombie."

"Zombies and humans can't be tamed. They want to suck human blood; it's their instinct, just like humans need to drink water and eat."

Master Chunyang sneered, "A beast is still a beast."

"Roar!" Xiao Li yelled in dissatisfaction.

Hearing the roar, Master Chunyang looked toward the cart in confusion.

"Roar~ Roar~"

After confirming he hadn't misheard, Master Chunyang asked in surprise, "Is there a little zombie in your cart?"

Xia Linyin opened the carport and carried Xiao Li out. Xiao Li immediately wrapped her arms around her neck and buried her face in her shoulder.

Xia Linyin nodded, "These are the zombies I raised."

"Is this the zombie you raised?" Master Chunyang looked Xiao Li up and down, clearly not believing Xia Linyin's words.

This little guy doesn't look like a zombie at all. How could a zombie be so obediently lying on a person? This is clearly a child.

Xia Linyin lifted the sun hat off Xiao Li's head and turned to the side so that Daoist Chunyang could see Xiao Li's face.

Master Chunyang leaned closer in surprise, observing Xiao Li's face. Suddenly, Xiao Li bared her fangs and hissed at him.

Master Chunyang took a step back, staring at Xiao Li in disbelief. "This... how is this possible?"

He had seen countless zombies in his life, but he had never encountered anything like this before.

Is this a fake zombie?

“Master Chunyang, you don’t need to worry about her. Her situation is special. You should continue discussing how to raise zombies. The three of us are raising normal little zombies,” Yin Yichen said.

"No, how can this zombie be like this? I've never heard of anything like it before." Master Chunyang exclaimed in astonishment. "Doesn't it bite? Its teeth are right at your neck, but it hasn't bitten you. This...this..."

Master Chunyang was at a loss for words to express his shock. He asked, "Can I hold it?"

Xia Linyin shook her head. "It just doesn't bite me."

"You've got some skill," Master Chunyang exclaimed in admiration, utterly puzzled. "Could you tell me what method you used to tame it?"

"This..." Charlene was speechless for a moment. She smiled and said, "This little zombie is just more affectionate towards me. Other zombies don't do this, so I don't know any solutions. Otherwise, I wouldn't be asking you for advice here."

"I see..." Master Chunyang frowned as he looked at Xiao Li, seemingly wanting to study her thoroughly.

"Alright, alright, Daoist Chunyang, please continue. We really want to know how to quickly increase the level of a zombie."

Yin Yichen's words successfully drew Chunyang Daoist's attention. He looked at Yin Yichen and said, "To increase the level of a zombie, one way is to make it drink blood, and another way is to make it absorb moonlight."

"If you're going to give a zombie blood, human blood is best, followed by pig blood, chicken blood, or other poultry blood. However, it's best not to let a zombie drink human blood. Besides the fact that it's explicitly prohibited, if a zombie drinks too much human blood, it's easy for it to turn on its owner."

"Blood-drinking zombies are irritable, bloodthirsty, and vicious. They are not easy to tame, and their strength increases too quickly. If you're not careful, you won't be able to control them and you'll be bitten to death."

At this point, Daoist Chunyang couldn't help but look at Xia Linyin and ask, "What kind of blood does your little zombie usually drink?"
