Chapter 159 The Master's Great Physique

The sound of rushing water filled the air as Yideng rose from the bathtub, water droplets sliding down his firm, defined muscles.

He casually grabbed a white bath towel from the side, wrapped it around his waist, and walked towards the mirror.

Grasping the handle, Yideng raised the mirror, looked at Xia Linyin in the mirror, and asked expressionlessly, "You can see me taking a bath?"

“A little bit.” Xia Linyin gestured with her finger. “It should be related to my recent increase in cultivation. I think I’ve figured out a little bit of the trick to becoming one with the mirror, so I seem to be able to see a little bit of the scene on the back of the mirror.”

Xia Linyin looked down and then exclaimed exaggeratedly, "Wow, I never would have guessed! There's a hidden view under the master's robe. What amazing pectoral muscles!"

Xia Linyin tilted her head back and pinched her delicate nose. "It's a good thing I'm a ghost now, otherwise I would have a nosebleed."

"You just noticed I have pectoral muscles? Didn't you say you could see me showering?" Ichidō raised a slight eyebrow.

Xia Linyin paused, then waved her hand and laughed, "Oh dear, I already said it's just a little bit. Before, when I watched you take a shower, it was like looking at flowers through a fog, I couldn't see very clearly. It's so high-definition now!"

As she spoke, Xia Linyin glanced at Yideng's chest again, her eyes crinkling with a smile that made her look radiant. "Oh my, Master's is still plum red, as beautiful as a rose."

Xia Linyin felt a chill run down her spine. She felt that her tone was just like that of a brothel madam, who couldn't stop smiling when she saw something good.

Hearing Xia Linyin say that, Yideng actually looked down at himself twice, and then asked, "Isn't yours magenta?"

"Pfft—cough cough! Cough cough cough!"

Xia Linyin pounded her chest and coughed uncontrollably. If it weren't for Yideng's serious expression, she would have thought he was doing it on purpose.

Yi Deng, never one to mince words, asked a startling question: "Isn't magenta abnormal? Then what color are you?"

His tone was flat and even, as if he were asking a perfectly normal question.

Good heavens! This bald monk! Is he genuinely ignorant or just pretending?! He actually discussed this kind of issue with her!

Is it really appropriate for a monk to discuss this kind of issue with a girl?

And to ask such an incredibly embarrassing question with such a restrained and aloof expression!

That's really... amazing!

"Ugh, asking me that kind of question! I'll punch you in the chest with my little fists."

Xia Linyin covered her cheeks. "I suddenly feel my face flush and my heart race. Master, do you even know what it means to blush and have a racing heart? Never mind, you wouldn't understand even if I told you."

"Form is emptiness, emptiness is form, form is emptiness, emptiness is form..." Xia Linyin fanned herself with her hand and said, "No, I still feel so hot, Master, I... I... I need to go to the meditation room to recite the Heart-Cleansing Mantra and calm my mind! Otherwise, all I can think about is Master's big pectoral muscles!"

Yideng nodded. “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form. No matter how good a person’s appearance is, in the end, they are nothing but a pile of yellow earth. Unfortunately, people in the world cannot see through this. You can see that my eyes are clear. What I just said was only three parts truth and seven parts falsehood. However, your mind is too complicated. You do need to recite the Mind-Clearing Mantra a few more times. In the future, you should think quietly and be careful with your words.”

Xia Linyin's eyes showed shame, and she had a learned expression on her face. "I understand, Master."

Pointing outside, Xia Linyin said, "Then Master, will you send me to the meditation room? I won't disturb your medicinal bath."

"Now that you've grasped a bit of the trick, try to see if you can float to the meditation room on your own," said Yideng calmly.

You bald monk, don't rub salt in the wound!

Xia Linyin laughed and said, "It seems like it's still a little bit lacking."

After placing the mirror on the meditation cushion in the meditation room, Yideng left the meditation room and returned to his room to continue his medicinal bath.

Xia Linyin pretended to chant the Heart-Cleansing Mantra, and opened her eyes after Yideng left.

Looking out at the night sky, Xia Linyin thought to herself: Master Niu, you mustn't disappoint me.

Xia Linyin didn't have to wait long before the door to the meditation room was gently pushed open a crack and then gently closed again.

"Master Niu, here, here!" Xia Linyin whispered.

Upon hearing Xia Linyin's voice, Master Niu, who was wearing a hat, a mask, and was completely covered up, hurriedly walked towards the prayer mat.

Walking up to the mirror, Master Niu removed the invisibility talisman from his body. Then, realizing that Xia Linyin could see him regardless of whether he had the talisman on or not, he put it back on.

"Did you leave that note for me?" Master Niu picked up the mirror and asked impatiently.

“That’s right, that bald monk burned me with the Netherworld Fire for forty-nine days and then sealed me in the Demon-Revealing Mirror, never to be free again. I hate him!” Xia Linyin said through gritted teeth.

"Wait, aren't you the Demon-Revealing Mirror? And isn't the Demon-Revealing Mirror you?" Master Niu asked in confusion.

"I was not originally a mirror ghost formed from the resentment left on the mirror by the dead. When I was in the Xia family, I just found a place to live and possessed the mirror. So after being refined, I did not completely merge with the mirror."

Xia Linyin knew the real reason for this was the game's setting. She was a player, and the condition for leaving the square was to come out of the mirror, so how could she possibly become completely integrated with the Demon-Revealing Mirror and turn into a mirror?

Xia Linyin changed the subject, saying, "Anyway, I don't want to follow that bald monk anymore. As long as I'm not following that bald monk, it doesn't matter who I follow, so I found you."

Master Niu was excited. "Alright, alright, then... then I'll take you away now."

"Wait! Master Niu, that bald monk has already pledged allegiance to me through blood. I am connected to him and cannot stray too far from him. Moreover, he can sense my location. If you take me away like this, he will catch me in less than three minutes."
