The other person's refreshing minty scent wafted over, and Xia Linyin blushed, averting her gaze and cleverly changing the subject, asking, "Su Jinyan, you seem to know everything, how do you know so much?"
"I traded it with other players using Ghost Coins." Su Jinyan said as she dried her hair with a soft towel and walked into the house.
Much of the useful information is summarized by experienced veteran players from the game. They certainly don't want to give away the experience they've painstakingly accumulated to others for nothing. If you want answers, then exchange them for Ghost Coins.
"Su Jinyan, you—" Already very grateful to Su Jinyan, Xia Linyin felt even more embarrassed after hearing what he said. He himself had exchanged ghost coins for information, yet he had told her everything without reservation, and even made her spend all her ghost coins to enhance the power of her high heels, which clearly meant he didn't intend to take her ghost coins.
As if knowing what Xia Linyin wanted to say, Su Jinyan interrupted her, "You don't need to feel bad. I won't patiently explain things to everyone. It's just that you suit my taste."
Was Su Jinyan flirting with her with those words?
Xia Linyin felt a surge of excitement, but then her excitement quickly faded.
In real life, she would definitely be interested in flirting with Su Jinyan. After all, a high-quality guy like Su Jinyan, who is gentle, patient, and handsome, fulfills a girl's fantasy of a prince charming. He's hard to find even with a lantern.
Unfortunately, under the current circumstances, everyone is living hand to mouth, and no one can say for sure whether they will have the chance to see each other again after the next game. It is simply not suitable for them to fall in love.
Su Jinyan was probably just saying it casually. After all, nobody's stupid enough to invest their feelings in someone who's risking their life just like them. What if that person loses their head one day? Wouldn't that make them feel like they have no reason to live?
Xia Linyin smiled faintly. Perhaps sensing the change in Xia Linyin's mood, Su Jinyan didn't say anything more. After getting dressed, he took Xia Linyin downstairs.
A noisy crowd could be heard as people came and went in the magnificent hall. The crystal chandeliers overhead sparkled, and the smooth marble floor clearly reflected the figures of people.
"This is a buffet restaurant. Food will appear on the buffet table at 7:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 6:00 PM, and will disappear after two hours..."
As Xia Linyin listened to Su Jinyan's explanation, she nodded, her face occasionally flashing with surprise.
They were staying in a luxurious hotel, with each player assigned an identical room. The hotel had thirteen floors in total, from the third to the thirteenth floor, and the lobby on the first floor had a restaurant, a gym, and a movie theater.
The entire second floor was filled with shelves; it was a large supermarket.
You can take whatever you want in the supermarket; there are no checkout counters. They have daily necessities, snacks, clothes, shoes, and more.
Food appears out of thin air at the buffet counter in the first-floor restaurant during mealtimes. There is a wide variety of food, including Chinese, Western, Thai, Korean, and Japanese cuisine, which is dazzling to the eye.
The entire hotel was isolated by a barrier, preventing players from leaving. Looking out the windows, all they could see was unchanging darkness.
Su Jinyan gracefully cut the steak on her plate. "Looking back now, this game wasn't actually that difficult. It's just that we fell into the trap of fixed thinking, which is why we became more and more passive."
"Yes! This game really gives hints and traps at the same time. Every time someone gets on at a stop, we subconsciously think that the ghost is possessing the passenger and pretending to be a passenger to get on the bus. But we didn't expect that the ghost was possessing the objects to get on the bus. When the ghost started killing NPCs one after another, it proved that the ghost was not possessing the NPCs. If we could have realized this in time, we could have discovered that something was wrong with the ceramic doll. Before the ghost finished killing the NPCs, we could have smashed all the ceramic dolls, and the game mission would have been completed. Zhang Yaya wouldn't have died."
Xia Linyin forked a cherry tomato, put it in her mouth, and sighed.
If it weren't for that man's repeated rescues, she wouldn't be sitting here enjoying this delicious food right now.
Thinking of this, Xia Linyin turned around and searched the restaurant, but unfortunately did not see the man.
That man's aura was too unique; if he were here, there would be no way he couldn't be found.
"Are you looking for that man in black?" Su Jinyan picked up her wine glass and gently swirled it.
"Mm." Xia Linyin nodded.
“He’s very strong.” A mysterious light flickered in Su Jinyan’s eyes. “You really don’t know him?”
That man seemed to care a lot about Xia Linyin, and his strength was far beyond what one would expect from a beginner game player.
Xia Linyin shook her head. She was also a little puzzled. Someone like the man in black would never be forgotten once you saw him. She had never seen anyone as handsome as the man in black. Both men and women would be amazed by him. But she couldn't remember ever seeing this man before.
"I think he might be from Area A. He got some kind of item that reduces the difficulty of the game, so he entered the game with us. Of course, this is just my guess."
Xia Linyin caught the unfamiliar word in Su Jinyan's words and asked in confusion, "Area A?"
Su Jinyan nodded, "We belong to Zone B. Players who complete five games will enter Zone A. The living environment in Zone A is better than in Zone B. I heard that you can see sunlight there."
Xia Linyin rested her chin on her hand and asked疑惑地问道:“Tell me, what exactly is the purpose of this game? What is the point of bringing us all in here to complete various game tasks?”
