Combat training is divided into offensive and defensive sides. The defenders will wear protective gear weighing several hundred kilograms, while the attackers will carry a heavy, unsharpened longsword to score points by hitting the defenders in vital areas of their bodies.
Xia Linyin wore a one-finger-wide thick metal glove on her hand, metal boots of the same thickness on her foot, and slightly thinner armor on her body.
These protective gears protected her body but also restricted her movements, preventing her from acting as freely as she normally would.
At first it was okay, but as time went on, I felt the protective gear getting heavier and heavier, and it became more and more tiring and strenuous to lift my arms and legs.
Opposite her was Lia, wielding a long sword and exuding an overbearing aura.
Seeing that Xia Linyin's movements were gradually showing signs of fatigue and that she was revealing more and more weaknesses, a smug look flashed across Liya's face. She gripped her sword and charged towards Xia Linyin, aiming to attack her vital points.

Recalling Su Jinyan's disgusted and cold look, Liya's gaze toward Xia Linyin grew increasingly resentful. It was all Xia Linyin's fault; all of this was caused by Xia Linyin.

Before anyone could react, Lia rushed toward Xia Linyin and slammed her metal fist into Xia Linyin's chest.
Just as Liya was about to hit Xia Linyin, an even greater force swung Liya's arm away.
At the same time, the order to end the battle was given.
Su Jinyan dropped the longsword, helped Xia Linyin up, and gave Liya a cold look. "This is not a fight, this is murder."
Lia's face turned pale. "No, I didn't. I didn't use much force. I only used a little bit. I controlled my strength, but I didn't know she would be so fragile, even though she was also injected with the X virus."
Su Jinyan's gaze was so sharp that it seemed to see into the depths of Liya's heart as she tried to explain, making Liya feel uneasy.
However, Su Jinyan did not say another word to her, but left with Xia Linyin.

Losing his usual composure, Su Jinyan's eyes were surprisingly dark and bright, like a cluster of incandescent flames leaping within them.
In stark contrast were Xia Linyin's eyes, like ancient wells, calm yet unfathomably dark as she looked up at Su Jinyan.
The darkness seemed to contain some complex emotions, and Su Jinyan's heart suddenly skipped a beat. Her Adam's apple bobbed up and down, filled with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness that she herself didn't know she was going to hear. Just as Su Jinyan thought Xia Linyin was about to say something...
Xia Linyin spoke, but what she said was—
"Long time no see, please be careful with your words."
Su Jinyan: "..."
All emotions, including anger, leaked out like a burst balloon.
Su Jinyan chuckled softly, shook her head, her beautiful features softening, and pulled Xia Linyin to sit down on the stool. She placed her hand on Xia Linyin's stomach and asked, "Does it still hurt?"
The gesture was intimate and somewhat ambiguous, causing Xia Linyin's body to stiffen slightly. Fortunately, Su Jinyan quickly withdrew his hand, as if he had only just performed an examination.
Xia Linyin shook her head. "It's alright."
Although Lia's kick was heavy, her body recovered quickly after the injection of the X virus, so it didn't hurt much anymore.
Su Jinyan ruffled Xia Linyin's short hair. "I don't know why you want to participate in Project X, but you must have your own reasons. Now that you've come this far, you should train hard. You can't become an excellent soldier if you're distracted during training."
