Chapter 218 Misty Town 26

In the bathroom, Arthur stood under the showerhead, water cascading over his muscular body. He shook his head, braced his hands against the wall, and a mocking, flippant smile played on his lips. "Shang, are you sure you can do it?"

"Fox, you have so little faith in me?" The man scoffed, his face showing displeasure. He turned off the shower, grabbed a towel from the side, and wrapped it around his waist. "Haven't you noticed that my darling's heart is already in turmoil?"

His hand suddenly stopped moving, and his handsome face returned to its usual blank expression. Arthur said in a flat tone, "This is my game."

After saying that, he curled his lip and said, "It's all the same."

Raising his hand to rub his constantly changing facial expressions, Arthur walked out of the bathroom and teased, "Arthur, with your blockhead-like demeanor, you wouldn't be able to pique my interest for eight hundred years."

When he mentioned the word "interest," he lightly stroked the lips that had just kissed Xia Linyin's ear in an ambiguous way.

If anyone were here, they would be terrified by Arthur's muttering to himself, as if there were another person hiding inside him.

Xia Linyin sat on the sofa, looking down at the book on her lap but unable to concentrate. Her mind was filled with Arthur's completely different demeanor from before.

#What should I do if Arthur seems to be possessed by a ghost?#

Arthur came downstairs wearing slippers and suit trousers, with two shirts draped over his arms, one black and one white.

Walking up to Xia Linyin, Arthur asked affectionately, "Baby, which one looks better on me?"

His tone was perfectly natural, but Xia Linyin felt a little uncomfortable being called "baby." She looked at the two shirts in Arthur Li's hands and thought that Arthur Li would look better in the black ones.

Imagine Arthur wearing a black shirt, unbuttoning the top two buttons to reveal his fair skin and delicate collarbone. That fair skin, set against the black, is sexy, alluring, and seductive.

Pulling back from her imagined scenario, Xia Linyin decisively pointed to the white shirt, "I think you look better in white."

Throwing the black shirt onto the sofa, Arthur casually slipped on a white shirt, not in a hurry to button it up, but first adjusting the cuffs.

The man had messy, half-dry, jet-black short hair, and his well-fitting suit trousers accentuated his long, straight legs. His white shirt was open at the chest, revealing his smooth and beautifully shaped waist and abdomen as he raised his hand.

His movements as he lowered his eyes and adjusted his cuffs exuded a sense of languor and casualness, and his long, thick eyelashes cast a faint shadow beneath his eyelids.

After straightening his cuffs, the man buttoned up the buttons on his chest one by one, his movements unhurried and exuding composure.

The delicate silver buttons shimmered with light reflected off her fingers. Even a simple buttoning motion, performed by those well-defined, slender, and jade-like hands, was a sight to behold.

Watching Xia Linyin, who was staring intently at his hand movements, Arthur smiled slightly, a hint of pleasure in his deep blue eyes. After buttoning his shirt and straightening his collar, he asked, "Does it look good?"

Xia Linyin then realized as if she had just woken up from a dream that she had been staring at Arthur without even blinking.

She hurriedly lowered her head, as if trying to cover up her embarrassment, but she was extremely awkward.

Xia Linyin rubbed her legs, unsure where to look.

She was wrong. Arthur wasn't possessed by a ghost, but by a legendary sea siren who specialized in seducing souls, and whose every move exuded a bewitching aura.

She was even more wrong. Arthur looked equally alluring and sexy in a white shirt. Well, handsome men with good figures look good in anything.

In short, Arthur has become like someone who grew up on hormones; he's truly a walking poppy.

It's easy to fall for his good looks without even realizing it.

Seeing Xia Linyin's unease, Arthur smiled. He suddenly reached out and pulled Xia Linyin up from the sofa, put his arm around her waist, turned around and sat on the sofa, letting Xia Linyin sit on his lap.

In the blink of an eye, the cushion transformed from a sofa into Arthur Li's lap, leaving Xia Linyin dumbfounded. A broad chest pressed against her back, and a weight settled on her shoulder as Arthur Li's deep, magnetic, and pleasant voice sounded in her ear, "Baby, do I look good in this shirt?"

Xia Linyin nodded hastily, not quite used to such intimacy with someone. She grabbed Arthur's arm that was wrapped around her waist, trying to get off him. "Arthur... Arthur, I..."

"Hmm?" A lazy hum came from his nose. Arthur tightened his grip on Xia Linyin, holding her even closer. He buried his face in the crook of Xia Linyin's neck and gently sniffed. Arthur sighed in fascination, "Baby, you smell so good."

"I just remembered I still have clothes to collect, Arthur, I'll go collect the clothes!" Xia Linyin said hurriedly, struggling to get off Arthur.

“Okay.” Arthur replied with a smile, but did not let go of Xia Linyin. Instead, he raised a hand and gently stroked Xia Linyin’s smooth cheek. His fingers lingered on the delicate touch, and Arthur’s eyes were filled with a special kind of infatuation. “Baby, you look just like a delicious dessert.”

Oh no! That's a terrible metaphor!

The thought of Chad sent alarm bells ringing in Xia Linyin's mind!

You should know that Chad once compared her to a cream pudding in front of Arthur!

So, what does Arthur mean by saying that? Why did he say she looks like a delicious dessert?
