It felt as if sweet syrup was melting between their lips, sliding down their throats and into their bodies, flowing through their limbs. At first, Xia Linyin nervously gripped the seat beneath her, leaving several finger marks on the leather chair.
Later, Mo Li kissed her so hard that her limbs went weak and she almost passed out.
As their lips parted, Xia Linyin opened her eyes, her eyes misty with tears, her lips glistening with an alluring color.
The temperature inside the car seemed to rise several degrees, and the air seemed to be filled with the rich aroma of wine, which was intoxicating.
Mo Li hugged Xia Linyin tightly, resting his chin on Xia Linyin's neck, calming his breathing.
And a feverish body.
"Your lips..." His voice was deep and husky, incredibly alluring, "...sweeter than I imagined."
With a "boom," Xia Linyin's face burned even hotter; if it continued to burn any hotter, she would truly melt.
Pushing Mo Li aside, Xia Linyin opened the car door, got out, and fled back to her home.
Leaning against the door, Xia Linyin fanned her face vigorously with her hand. It took a long time for the heat on her face to subside.
But the thought of the kiss just now made her face, which had finally returned to normal, flush red again, as if she had drunk several kilograms of liquor.
My heart was pounding.
...
After Xia Jianguo's mother signed the divorce agreement, he moved out of the house.
Considering that her mother was not in a good mood, Xia Linyin took a few days off to stay home with her mother.
Mo Shi Mo Li: "Shall we have dinner together tonight?"
Xiaxia loves blueberries: "No, my dad moved away, and my mom isn't in a good mood, so I have to keep her company."
Mo Shi Mo Li: "Okay."
It was followed by a heart-shaped image.
Putting down her phone, Xia Linyin prepared to make her mother some red date and lotus seed soup, her favorite drink.
Two days later, when the two were on the phone, Mo Li asked with concern, "Lin Yin, is Auntie feeling better today?"
"Hmm..." The atmosphere at home had been somber since her father left. Even after receiving Mo Li's call, Xia Linyin's mood wasn't particularly high. "It's a little better now."
"Linyin, I think Auntie should go out for a walk now, instead of staying cooped up at home all the time," Mo Li suggested.
Xia Linyin thought about it and agreed. So after hanging up the phone, she coaxed her mother into going shopping with her.
I was just browsing around and buying a few things when I stumbled upon a shopping mall promotion where customers could enter a lucky draw after spending a certain amount.
She randomly drew a prize and won the grand prize: a free 10-day European tour with all meals and accommodation included.
While Xia Linyin was still completely bewildered, her mother was already excitedly exclaiming, "Oh my! My daughter is beautiful and lucky! Haha! First prize! First prize!"
The staff in the raffle area also praised Xia Linyin profusely, making Xia's mother extremely happy.
Seeing her mother's rare smile, Xia Linyin couldn't help but smile as well.
On the way back, Xia Linyin was walking a little unsteadily, feeling a bit incredulous that she had won a free 10-day trip to Europe just by going out for a casual stroll.
The staff member mentioned that the tour group she booked was for middle-aged people, and the group consisted of middle-aged men and women who were about the same age as her mother.
She registered her mother's information, thinking it would be a good opportunity for her mother to go abroad for a break.
...
"Hey Mom, how's it going? Have you arrived at the hotel yet?"
"We're at the hotel, Yinyin. Let me tell you something. There's an auntie in our group who's about the same age as my mom. Her husband ran off with her money and his mistress. It's so pitiful."
"She only discovered her husband was having an affair after almost all the assets had been transferred."
"There's another one, even more pitiful. Her husband was the one who cheated, but he turned the tables and accused her of cheating. He even fabricated evidence, and in the end, they got divorced. She didn't get the children or the house."
"Poor thing, she not only didn't get the house, but she also didn't get custody of the child. Seeing her cry broke my heart. How can a man be so wicked?"
Xia's mother poured out these words like beans, and at the end, she added, "Think about it, your father is actually quite good; at least he didn't treat us mother and son unfairly in the distribution of the property."
Xia Linyin: "..."
"Mom, have fun, and call me if you need anything."
After hanging up the phone, Xia Linyin felt relieved; it seemed she didn't need to worry too much about her mother.
"Is Auntie doing well abroad?" Mo Li asked from beside her.
Xia Linyin nodded. After finishing her phone call with her mother, she seemed much more relaxed.
"The movie starts in fifteen minutes, let's go play the claw machine for a bit," Xia Linyin said.
She pulled Mo Li toward the claw machine.
After inserting two coins, Xia Linyin pressed the start button, gripped the lever with one hand, and manipulated the claw inside to grab the doll.
Press the button, and the claw moves down, grabbing a pink leopard plush toy. However, as it moves upward, the claw loosens, and the pink leopard falls back into the pile of plush toys.
Xia Linyin stomped her feet regretfully twice, then stuffed two more coins inside. She accurately grabbed a blue penguin plush toy, and just as she was about to reach the exit, she let go, and the cooked duck flew away.
Mo Li stood to the side, carrying Xia Linyin's bag in one hand and holding her phone in the other, searching for information about claw machines.
After quickly browsing through several claw machine guides, Mo Li put his phone back in his pocket, bent down behind Xia Linyin, placed his large hand on the back of Xia Linyin's hand, and grasped the hand that Xia Linyin was using to operate the lever. "Which one do you want?"
