Chapter 38 Lingmen Escort Agency 11

Since things had come to this, the matchmaker, Li, had no choice but to go to the room with Ah Xiang to help her get ready and change into her bridal gown.

Meanwhile, Xia Linyin and the other players were in the courtyard, staring at the withered female zombie lying alone on the ground.

"What do we do now? The bride has been changed, won't there be any problems?" Sister Liu asked worriedly.

Xia Linyin frowned slightly and stroked her chin, saying, "The game mission is to escort the thousand-year-old female zombie into the tomb of Marquis Wu and attend the wedding of Marquis Wu. It doesn't explicitly state that it's the wedding of Marquis Wu and the thousand-year-old female zombie. What we're doing now is essentially taking advantage of a loophole in that statement."

Regardless, they definitely have to keep this thousand-year-old female zombie with them and escort her into the Wuhou Tomb to complete the mission mentioned earlier.

Then attend the wedding of King Wuhou and Ah Xiang, and complete the one-line task.

The original intention of the game was definitely to attend the wedding of King Wuhou and the thousand-year-old female zombie, but what they are doing now is tantamount to exploiting a loophole in that statement.

But there was nothing that could be done about it; King Wu would certainly not marry a thousand-year-old female zombie who had been defiled and turned into a dried corpse.

I wonder how the game developers will judge their actions.

Does that mean they completed their mission?

"Who cares! Let's get the female zombie in first. If we haven't returned to the Grand Hotel after Wuhou Wang and Axiang get married, it means the mission isn't complete. Then we'll force Wuhou Wang to marry the female zombie too!"

Everyone nodded in agreement with Fatty's words. They would escort the female zombie into the tomb of Marquis Wu first. If the game did not determine that they had completed the mission after attending the wedding of Marquis Wu and Ah Xiang, they would do everything in their power to force Marquis Wu to marry the thousand-year-old female zombie.

An hour later, Ah Xiang, with her beautiful makeup, dressed in a bright red wedding gown embroidered with phoenixes and wearing an exquisite phoenix crown, walked gracefully towards the sedan chair with the help of Matchmaker Li.

Ah Xiang's face was full of shyness. Although he already knew that Ah Xiang was not as weak as she looked, Wang Ming was still captivated by Ah Xiang's shy and timid demeanor.

No wonder people say that getting married is the most beautiful time in a woman's life.

Matchmaker Li's expression was clearly not so good; she stiffened her movements and reluctantly helped Ah Xiang up.

Before getting into the sedan chair, Ah Xiang turned to look at Matchmaker Li, a smile playing on her lips, and softly asked, "Matchmaker Li, today is my big day, aren't you happy?"

Matchmaker Li quickly forced a smile, "Happy? How could I not be happy? If it weren't for Miss A-Xiang, I wouldn't have been able to get this done today."

"That's good." Ah Xiang sat in the bridal sedan chair and said before lowering the curtain, "Also, I hope that Matchmaker Li will stop calling me Ah Xiang from now on, since I'm about to marry the King of Wu and become his queen."

Matchmaker Li took a deep breath. "Yes, Your Highness."

Because Ah Xiang didn't have the terrifying weight of a female zombie, Matchmaker Li made the paper figures lift the sedan chair.

This completely freed up the shoulders of the players, which was the only thing that made Xia Linyin and the others happy.

Because her power was drained, the female zombie became a dried corpse, so she was no longer as heavy as before, but the weight of a normal dried corpse.

The fat man wrapped the mummified corpse in a bed sheet and carried it on his back; the weight was nothing to him.

As for pushing the wheelchair, the task ultimately fell to Xia Linyin. The fat man had to carry the female zombie, and Matchmaker Li had to direct the paper figures. Old Wu and Sister Liu had no intention of pushing the wheelchair.

As for Wang Ming, he would be quite happy to do this if the person in the wheelchair was a girl.

It's a pity it's a little boy; no matter how handsome he is, he's still a boy.

She wasn't the big-breasted loli he wanted.

The sound of suona horns filled the air as paper figures lifted the bridal sedan chair, and Xia Linyin pushed the wheelchair as the group continued their journey toward the tomb of Marquis Wu.

They didn't know how long they walked, but under the guidance of Matchmaker Li, Xia Linyin and the others finally entered the tomb of King Wuhou.

The underground smell was unpleasant; it was cold and damp, mixed with the musty smell of stagnant air, making it difficult to breathe.

Xia Linyin and her group entered the Wuhou Tomb through a secret passage. After encountering several traps along the way, they finally emerged from the long and dark passage.

Suddenly, the view opened up before me, the air was no longer so thin and barren, and a tall city wall came into view. The magnificent atmosphere was overwhelming, a spectacular sight that made my heart tremble.

The city wall is mottled, imbued with the charm of history, simple and profound.

"King Wu actually built a capital city underground! My God! It even has such high city walls!" Wang Ming exclaimed, his mouth agape.

Ah Xiang lifted the curtain and looked outside, a proud smile on her face.

Xia Linyin was also stunned by this magnificent sight, as if she had suddenly arrived in front of the most prosperous capital city in ancient times, and had a dazed feeling of being there.

Just as she was thinking this, she seemed to hear a bustling noise in her ear.

"Selling meatballs! Freshly cooked meatballs! Delicious and chewy!"

"Selling pork! Would you like some pork, sir/madam?"

"Hot steamed buns! Three coins each, delicious and inexpensive!"

...

The sounds of hawking and shouting filled the air.

"Is someone in here?" Wang Ming picked at his ear, wondering if he was hallucinating.

"I think there's something fishy going on," the fat man sneered.

The group of people were on high alert and cautiously made their way into the city walls.

The wide street was bustling with people and noise, and all kinds of stalls lined both sides of the street.

At first glance, it presents a bustling scene of an ancient street.

But upon closer inspection, all the pedestrians on the road had their heads down and their eyes rolled back, walking around like zombies, their faces completely bloodless.

"Selling meatballs! Freshly cooked meatballs! Delicious and chewy!"

Inside the boiling blood, eyeballs were rolling and bobbing.

The stall owner, with an eyeball dangling precariously from his face, connected to his eye socket only by a thin blood vessel, used chopsticks to pick up the eyeball from the pot and kept shouting out his wares.

"Pork for sale! Fresh pork, would you like some, sir?"

On the blood-soaked chopping board lay several pale human legs. The stall owner, wielding a butcher's knife, chopped the thighs into pieces in a few swift movements and stared at Xia Linyin and the others, asking them a question.

"Steaming hot meat buns, would you like to buy a few, sir?"

The steamed bun vendor deftly placed several freshly steamed buns onto a plate and then chased after them.

"Gentlemen, would you like a few dishes to tide you over?"

"My family's meat buns have thin skins and lots of filling. I guarantee you'll want to eat the first one after you've tried it."

"Look at this! Aren't the fillings in these buns generous?"

The stall owner broke open a meat bun.
