Rose hesitated. Staying with the clown meant failing the mission, and the consequence of failure was being eliminated by the game. She certainly wouldn't do something as foolish as trading her life for Demon Voice's.
However, if she were to give up on Moyin like this, she would feel guilty in the future, since Moyin was the one who got the key. If Moyin hadn't gotten the key, all of them would have died.
Using the life of her savior to save her own life—how is that any different from being a villain? Although she can't honestly say she's a good person, she's not a villain either.
If she did that, even if she lived on, her life would be dishonorable.
Having figured this out, Rose relaxed her brows and a relieved smile appeared on her face, as radiant as a peach blossom. "If we're going to leave, I'll leave with Demon Sound!"
"There's no third option." Xiao Li held up one finger and shook it.
"Then I'll fight you to the death!" Rose said with great enthusiasm, giving Xia Linyin a reassuring look.
This woman actually dared to flirt with my sister, it's really infuriating!
"Then you can leave."
Xiao Li reached out and blocked Xia Linyin's face to prevent the woman from exchanging glances with his sister. He glared at Rose with displeasure, and then a huge suction force from the vortex pulled Rose to the other side of the door.
Seeing the unsightly roses being sucked away by the vortex as if by a vacuum cleaner, Xiao Li's mood improved again. Ah! How wonderful! Now it's just him and his sister left!
He hugged Xia Linyin and shook her, "Sister, do you see? Only I would be willing to die for you, so from now on, you can only keep me here, okay?"
Xiao Li pointed to Xia Linyin's heart. His sister was too kind to everyone, and he would be jealous.
Xia Linyin produced a dice cup in her hand. She lowered her eyes and said, "Xiao Li, I don't want anything to happen to you, so please don't look for me anymore, okay?"
Xiao Li's eyes darkened, but a smile played on her lips. "Sister is so naive. Once you accept something, you can't return it."
"Hmm—" Xiao Li suddenly groaned, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
"Xiao Li, what's wrong?" Xia Linyin turned around and looked at Xiao Li, her eyes wide with alarm as she saw the blood trickling from the corner of Xiao Li's mouth.
"It's alright, don't worry, sister. It's just a pity I can't stay with you a little longer," Xiao Li said, wiping the blood from the corner of her lips.
As if sensing something, Xia Linyin asked urgently, "What do you mean? What do you mean?"
"The clown will disappear once he loses the key, because he no longer has any reason to exist."
Xiao Li looked down at her feet. "Look! They've started to disappear."
His voice was cheerful, as if he were showing Xia Linyin something new and fun.
But something terrifying was happening to him: his feet were disappearing little by little, as if being erased by an eraser. Xia Linyin had seen this before; in the first game, the middle-aged man had disappeared in the same way.
"Xiao Li!!!" Xia Linyin really wanted to punch his smiling face. He was deliberately trying to make her feel guilty, wasn't he?
Does he know that she is filled with guilt? Why did he have to let her know that he would disappear after losing the key? Why did he have to make her watch him disappear and feel helpless once again?
Xia Linyin couldn't help but recall what Wang Ming had said before: the only possible relationships between players and NPCs are exploitation and hostility.
Does she really intend to hurt Xiao Li again and again? Especially someone of Xiao Li's level, who is basically the final boss that players have to defeat; either the player dies or the boss dies.
Although this game mission didn't require them to directly kill the Joker, taking the key was equivalent to indirectly killing the Joker.
Sometimes, not knowing something means you won't feel guilty. She didn't want to, really didn't want to hurt Xiao Li anymore.
"Xiao Li, don't look for me anymore, don't look for me anymore." Xia Linyin shook her head, her throat dry.
"Sister, do you know? I'm so happy right now because I feel like I have a reason to exist." Xiao Li cupped Xia Linyin's face in her hands, gazing at her intently. "Sister, you are my salvation."
He spoke devoutly, but a dark thought was growing in his heart: "Sister, you're right. Do you know why I let them go?"
I want to make my sister feel guilty, and I want her to gradually lean towards me, because I think my sister only has me in her heart, only thinks about me, and only cares about me.
Sister, I'm a big bad guy, aren't I?
Xiao Li laughed, her laughter like a black datura blooming in the depths of hell, "Sister, kiss me."
His disappearance was slower than the middle-aged man's, but it reached his thighs, making it look as if half of his body was floating in mid-air.
"It hurts so much, sister, a kiss from you will make it stop hurting," Xiao Li said coquettishly.
Sure enough, as soon as he said that, Xia Linyin immediately became anxious and felt extremely distressed. Half of her body was gone; how could she not feel pain!
Xia Linyin tiptoed and kissed his forehead, then gently stroked his head a few times, as if soothing a big wolfhound.
“This doesn’t just hurt, sister wants to kiss here.” Xiao Li pointed to her mouth.
After quickly glancing at Xiao Li's lips, Xia Linyin recalled the scene of hooking the key from Xiao Li's mouth just now, and her face turned red with embarrassment.
"Time is running out! Sister, hurry up and kiss me!"
Although she said that, Xiao Li did not give Xia Linyin a chance to hesitate. Instead, she directly grabbed the back of Xia Linyin's head with one hand and pressed it against her lips.
