Su Jinyan didn't like being touched, so Bai Xueer had no choice but to settle for second best and stick close to Zhang Yaya.
Despite her reluctance, Bai Xueer gripped Zhang Yaya's arm tightly out of fear, her nails digging into the other's flesh.
Zhang Yaya, trembling like a leaf, gripped Bai Xueer's arm tightly. The little courage she had managed to muster with Xia Linyin's encouragement seemed to vanish as Su Jinyan's arrival provided her with a sense of security. She still couldn't face these things.
Bai Xueer and Zhang Yaya were like conjoined twins, clinging tightly to each other.
Su Jinyan followed behind them calmly.
Once the three left, only Xia Linyin remained sitting in her seat. Her gaze was fixed on the back of the little girl's head in front of her. The loose, wavy hair was incredibly smooth and had a faint sheen, just like a wig.
The more she looked at the little girl, the more eerie she felt. This seat was too close to the little girl. After thinking for a moment, Xia Linyin got up and sat in another row.
Su Jinyan and the others had already reached the coin box. Bai Xueer and Zhang Yaya threw their sweaty coins into the coin box and then hurriedly walked back.
Su Jinyan's gaze swept over the faces of the long-haired girl, the middle-aged woman, the old woman, and the driver. Then, she strode forward, following Bai Xueer and Zhang Yaya towards the back of the carriage.
Nothing happened during the process; it went surprisingly smoothly.
However, as Bai Xueer and Zhang Yaya stepped onto the stairs at the back of the carriage, the little girl sitting next to the boy suddenly collapsed in front of them.
"Ah!" A high-decibel scream rang out in the carriage, almost shattering people's eardrums.
"Aaaaaaah!"
Bai Xueer and Zhang Yaya hugged each other tightly, screaming incessantly with their eyes closed.
"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! My doll scared you!" The boy, his face flushed, picked up the little girl who had fallen to the ground and put her back in her seat.
The screams stopped abruptly, leaving only Zhang Yaya's sobs in the air. Bai Xueer opened her eyes a crack and looked at the little girl sitting motionless in her seat.
With its delicate features, unchanging sweet smile, and smooth, delicate skin made of silicone, this is a very realistic inflatable doll.
Upon realizing that the "loli" was actually a lifelike inflatable doll, Bai Xue'er was so angry she almost choked. She yelled at the boy, "Are you crazy?! Taking an inflatable doll out in public! Don't you know that scaring someone can be deadly?! Being disgusting is one thing, but doing such disgusting things is another! Why don't you just die?!"
"How dare you swear at me like that!" The boy, who had been thoroughly insulted, couldn't help but retort. However, when faced with Bai Xue'er's domineering aura, his voice weakened, and he muttered under his breath, "He's like a lunatic himself, yet he has the nerve to criticize others."
"What did you say?" Bai Xueer asked, pointing at the boy with wide eyes.
"Shut the hell up! What's all the noise about! You're making my head spin!" The middle-aged woman turned to the side, draped an arm over the back of the seat, and pointed at Bai Xue'er. "You haven't stopped yelling since you got on the bus! Talk to your mother!"
Bai Xue'er's face contorted with anger. Just as she was about to speak, she saw something and covered her mouth in horror.
"Ah, ah, ah..." Zhang Yaya pointed her trembling finger at the seat behind the middle-aged woman, and for a moment she was so shocked that she could hardly speak.
The long-haired girl was sitting in the seat behind the middle-aged woman. Xia Linyin suddenly stood up and looked ahead.
"Wh...what's wrong?" Feeling uneasy at everyone's reactions, the middle-aged woman turned her head slightly and looked at the long-haired girl.
The long-haired girl had her head slightly lowered. There was a deep cut on her neck, and blood was gushing out. The blood, which was flowing out like water, stained a large area of her white dress red, and a pool of crimson blood spread out beneath her.
It spread all the way down to the feet of middle-aged women wearing flip-flops.
"Ah! Someone's dead! Someone's dead!" the middle-aged woman screamed, jumping up from the chair as if her buttocks were on fire.
Su Jinyan slowly walked towards the long-haired girl. Xia Linyin saw him flip his hand, and a baton appeared out of thin air in his hand.
The baton was unevenly colored, with a dark red tinge that resembled bloodstains, giving off an extremely ominous feeling.
Su Jinyan used his baton to brush aside the girl's hair and observed, "Her throat was cut, and the cut was very clean. It must have been done with some sharp weapon."
When Su Jinyan and the others went to insert the coin, the long-haired girl was still alive, but now she is a corpse. She was obviously killed by the ghost while Bai Xueer and the others were arguing.
Xia Linyin gripped the high heels tightly in her hand. Was this the power of a demon? To kill someone silently in just a few seconds!
The appearance of the first victim added to the already chilly atmosphere of the carriage, and a sense of panic permeated the carriage.
The lingering, heavy smell of blood was so strong it was almost suffocating.
The boy's fingers trembled as he pulled his phone out of his pocket, only to find to his horror that the screen was black and he couldn't turn it on no matter what he tried. "What happened? How could this be? It was fine when I left!"
"Does anyone have a cell phone?! Call the police! Call the police now!" The boy's voice was already trembling with tears by the end.
The boy and the middle-aged woman both looked terrified. The old woman with a wrinkled face stared at the long-haired girl's corpse with cloudy eyes, lost in thought.
Despite the magnitude of the incident, the driver remained calm and continued driving.
The man in the jacket in the last row maintained his handsome pose, as immovable as a mountain.
Su Jinyan couldn't figure out this man who hadn't uttered a single word from beginning to end and was even calmer than the driver. It wasn't that she couldn't figure out if he was a ghost, but rather if he was a player.
He couldn't tell whether this person was a player or an NPC.
Perhaps it was because of his aura, but he always felt that the other person didn't seem like an NPC.
But it doesn't seem like the kind of player you'd see in a beginner's game.
Besides the man, the old woman and the driver are the most suspicious people; one of them is definitely a ghost, and the other is influenced by a ghost.
"Grandpa, someone has died. Aren't you scared?" Su Jinyan asked, stroking the baton in her hand.
"What's so scary about dead people?" The old woman turned her cloudy eyes to look at Su Jinyan, her voice old and hoarse.
