"Sister, kill me..."
Xia Linyin shuddered and quickly banished the images from her dream last night from her mind.
Opening her palm, Xia Linyin looked at her fair hand. Although the red text was no longer there, the game prompts she had seen earlier involuntarily appeared before her eyes.
A suffocating feeling, as if enveloped by the deep sea, suddenly struck, accompanied by immense panic.
She got out of bed, locked the door, and moved the sofa chair to the front of the door to block it.
Then use scissors to cut the sheets and duvet cover apart and tie them together.
“Sister…” Outside the door, Xiao Li twisted the doorknob, her long, slender eyebrows furrowing. “Sister, why did you lock the door?”
Hearing the sound, Xia Linyin quickened her movements, but her tone remained calm and undisguised, "Xiao Li, I want to be alone for a while."
"Sister, what's wrong?" Xiao Li's concerned voice came.
"It's nothing, I just want to be alone for a while. I'll be out in a bit." Xia Linyin said as she tied the long cloth rope she had made to the foot of the bed.
There was no sound outside the door. Just when Xia Linyin thought Xiao Li had left, a loud "bang" was heard.
The door shook, and the sofa chair next to it was pushed and moved slightly.
In contrast to the loud noise was Xiao Li's gentle voice.
"Sister, you can have some peace and quiet if you want. I'll stay in my room and won't bother you."
Xia Linyin climbed onto the windowsill and slid down the makeshift rope. After her feet touched the ground, Xia Linyin did not run directly outside, but instead ran to the basement where Yin Yichen and the others had been imprisoned and hid there.
Hiding in the basement, Xia Linyin silently prayed that Xiao Li would chase after her.
But the approaching footsteps shattered Xia Linyin's beautiful fantasy.
Xiao Li walked into the basement, looked at Xia Linyin huddled in the corner, tilted his head and asked, "Sister, do you want to escape?"
His innocent gestures resembled a curious child asking questions, but his deep, crimson eyes sent chills down one's spine.
"How could that be? I was just playing hide-and-seek with you, haha—" Xia Linyin laughed awkwardly twice, "Haha..."
Xiao Li strode forward with his long legs, his face obscured by the light. He approached Xia Linyin, casting a shadow over her.
Xia Linyin involuntarily shrank back, and Xiao Li's eyes darkened. He showed a wronged expression and asked sadly, "Is sister afraid of me?"
Xia Linyin's heart softened, and she grabbed his slightly cool hand. "No, my Xiao Li is the best. How could I be afraid of you?"
"Really? Then why are you still thinking about running away, sister?" Xiao Li looked at Xia Linyin with deep eyes. "I told you, sister, you can't have any thoughts of leaving me."
"Sister is naughty. What do you think I should do to punish you?"
Xia Linyin's heart tightened. She swallowed hard, then quickly shook Xiao Li's hand. Gritting her teeth and swallowing her pride, she blinked her eyes and looked at him pitifully, "Xiao Li..."
Her shouts were so hesitant, a mixture of shyness and reluctance.
Xiao Li pulled Xia Linyin into her arms, affectionately pinched the tip of her nose, and laughed, "How could I bear to punish my sister?"
Xia Linyin nodded hastily. Sure enough, it was the right thing to do to deal with Xiao Li by stroking her hair, otherwise she would go berserk and turn evil in no time.

As Xia Linyin was praising herself for her cleverness, Xiao Li looked at her tenderly. Looking into his almost drowningly gentle red eyes, Xia Linyin felt something was off; it seemed the gentleness was excessive, like… like…
"Sister, go to sleep."
No! Don't! Don't hypnotize me! Xiao Li!
Xia Linyin tried hard to open her eyes, but her eyelids grew heavier and heavier, and her consciousness faded into darkness.
Xiao Li picked up the unconscious Xia Linyin and left the basement.
