Chapter 99 Rose Killer 18

Have they left?

Has Xiao Li left?

Xia Linyin gently lifted the curtains. There was still no one outside. She quickly packed her things, slung her bag over her shoulder, stepped over the door, and walked outside.

Xia Linyin tiptoed downstairs, but as soon as she stepped out of the apartment building, the scene before her suddenly changed.

A salty sea breeze blows, the azure sea stretches to the horizon, and soft white sand lies beneath your feet. Rolling waves surge onto the beach and then reluctantly recede.

Flocks of seabirds, two to three meters long, flew out of the dense green forest, emitting strange cries.

Xia Linyin stared blankly at the scene before her. Was she dreaming again?

"If my sister likes it, I can even create a world for her."

Could it be that Xiao Li was behind all of this?

Before Xia Linyin could think further, a rustling sound came, and black worms that looked like centipedes emerged from the sand, surging towards Xia Linyin like a black wave.

Xia Linyin quickly left the beach and ran towards the dense forest.

Xia Linyin crouched down and rolled up her trouser legs. During the run, she was bitten a few times by insects that suddenly darted out. She squeezed out black pus and blood from the wounds. Xia Linyin took out some clothes from her bag, tore them open, and bandaged her calves. Then she tied up her trouser legs.

Dragging her injured leg, Xia Linyin continued walking forward with uneven steps. In her backpack, there was only a half-empty bottle of mineral water. Xia Linyin regretted not buying more food the night before. She had planned to check the situation the next day and then go to the street to stock up on some food.

Trees, tens of meters tall and too big for one person to hug, are laden with green fruits the size of pomelos. The trunks of these trees have no leaves, only sharp thorns as thick as fingers. Their leaves grow at the top and are similar in shape to banana leaves.

Looking up at the lush, green fruit, Xia Linyin touched her stomach.

Just as Xia Linyin was thinking about how to get those fruits down, a baby-sized, all-black monkey suddenly darted out and climbed down the thick, sharp spikes.

After climbing to the top of the tree, the monkey sat on the base of a leaf, picked a fruit, and started eating it with gusto, while Xia Linyin watched it longingly.
