With a crescent blade appearing in her hand, Xia Linyin immediately turned around and slashed.
The sharp blade sliced through, and a grotesquely shaped tentacle tip fell to the ground, bouncing and oozing a foul-smelling slime.
The severed tentacles, resembling giant pythons and as thick as an adult man's thigh, were writhing in mid-air with their thick, slimy bodies.
The cut surface, dripping with viscous fluid, was rapidly wriggling and contracting.
The fleshy spikes on the tentacles also wriggled, making one's scalp tingle.
"Oh! Shit! What the hell is this?!" John wiped the nauseating slime splattered on his face and cursed.
Two more tentacles, one on the left and one on the back, quickly extended from both sides, their tips shaped like spindles, resembling fingers joined together.
As they were about to reach Xia Linyin and the others, the tips of their tentacles opened, resembling the blooming of flower buds. However, the sight was far from beautiful, only causing a chill.
Like the tentacles of a monster's ferocious maw extending out hard, hook-like claws, they can more easily lock onto the body of their prey.
Clearly, the two tentacles were ready to devour!
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
John fired several shots at the tentacle's open mouth, forcing the tentacle back a distance as it swayed its body.
Xia Linyin wielded her crescent blade to deal with another tentacle. Perhaps having learned from the experience of the previous tentacle and knowing the crescent blade's power to cut through iron like mud, this tentacle actually knew how to avoid the blade's edge. It nimbly swayed its python-like body, dodging the sharp blade, and then waited for an opportunity to attack Xia Linyin.
Charlene fought and retreated, while John also fired as he retreated. After they reached the fruit storage room, Trian, who was hiding nearby, quickly closed the electronic door before the tentacles entered.
The sound of impacts rang out, and the sturdy aluminum alloy door was dented and bulged, as if it would break down at any moment, making people tremble with fear.
“Oh my God! Can this door really keep them out?” Trian exclaimed, covering his mouth.
"Refrigerator! Let's quickly push the refrigerator to the front of the door!" Charlene ran to the refrigerator filled with frozen drinks, and John and Trian quickly came over to help.
The wheels rolled and the three of them worked together to push the large refrigerator in front of the aluminum alloy door, using the refrigerator to desperately resist the impact of the tentacles.
With the loud impact from outside, the ice cubes and wine bottles inside the refrigerator vibrated incessantly, making a jarring sound.
Finally, the banging outside the door stopped. After the three waited quietly in the storage room for a while, Trian mouthed, "Are they gone?"
Charlene wasn't sure if the strange things outside had left, but it wasn't a good idea for them to stay in the storage room. She and John had to take Trian and rush out to the small island not far from the cruise ship.
John clearly shared the same thought. He changed his magazine and exclaimed, "Fuck! I don't want to stay here any longer! Who knows when those things will break in? We need to find a lifeboat and get off this cruise ship!"
John cracked his neck. "I'll lead the charge. Xia, you protect Trian."
After carefully pushing the refrigerator open, Trian opened the storage room door again. John walked out of the storage room, looked at both sides of the corridor with his gun in hand, and nodded to Charlene and Trian.
Charlene held onto Trian's arm and followed closely behind John.
The walls and carpets of the corridor were stained with blood, and the stench of blood lingered in the air.
The carpet absorbed the sound of footsteps, making the atmosphere even quieter and more eerie, so quiet that Trian could hear his own heart pounding like a drum.
“Where are the others on the ship?” Trian asked in a low voice.
"Who knows? They're probably all swallowed by these disgusting tentacles." John shrugged. Just then, a tentacle suddenly veered into the corridor. Even though the tentacle didn't have eyes, John still felt a chill run down his spine from its gaze. "Oh! Shit!"
Gunshots rang out, and John retreated while firing. Charlene quickly led Trian away from the other side, but misfortune struck again when tentacles appeared on the other side of the corridor.
It's truly a case of being caught between a rock and a hard place!
"Xia! Elevator!" Trian quickly opened the elevator door. Xia Linyin released her, and her high heels shone brightly red. After a teleport, Xia Linyin flashed to the side of the tentacle and cleanly slashed down before the tentacle could turn its head.
The foul-smelling slime slid down the blade, and the severed tentacles writhed in agony like a giant python whose head had been cut off, emitting strange cries.
Whoosh! Several tentacles roared and attacked from both sides of the corridor!
After firing a burst of shots, John and Charlene retreated into the elevator. The bullets struck the thick, slimy tentacle body, splattering out a mixture of blood and slime.
With a "ding," the elevator doors closed, and the entire elevator shook violently as it was struck by the tentacles outside.
As it descended, the elevator gradually stabilized.
Trian breathed a sigh of relief. "Looks like we've gotten rid of those bastards. As long as we find a lifeboat, we can get off the cruise ship."
A stinging pain came from their palms. Xia Linyin and John exchanged a glance, then quietly turned to the side and raised their hands to look at their palms.
"Due to the player's intervention, the movie plot has been changed. The player will now play the male lead's role, kill the sea monster, and escape with the female lead."
This game is truly a bottomless pit!
The difficulty of the mission has actually increased!
Originally, all they had to do was escape the cruise ship with Trian and take him to the island, but now the game also requires them to kill the sea monster!
