Xia Linyin turned her head and looked around the room. "Who are you?"
A monotone voice echoed in every corner of the living room: "Master, I am Smart Room No. 83."
"Smart Room No. 83?" Xia Linyin murmured, repeating the phrase. "Even houses can be smart? That's so advanced, just like a robot."
“Yes, Master,” Number 83 said. “You can use your voice to control me to adjust the room temperature, purify the air, do laundry, and cook…”
"You can do laundry and cook too?" Xia Linyin asked in surprise, then she thought of a very important question, "Are you male or female?"
“Master, I am a house, I have no gender.” As if seeing through Xia Linyin’s thoughts, No. 83 thoughtfully added, “Don’t worry, Master, as a smart house, I will not peep at you while you are taking a shower. Some scenes will be automatically blocked and pixelated.”
Xia Linyin: "..."
"This house is so smart! It's kind of scary," Xia Linyin automatically imagined herself washing up in the bathroom with her face blurred out. Shaking off the image in her mind that was perfectly normal but became abnormal because of the blurring, Xia Linyin asked, "Who is the resident of number 62?"
Number 83 projected the scene at the main gate onto Xia Linyin's front, the image as clear as a movie.
A tall man in a clean white shirt stood at the door, a pleasing sight to behold, any angle of which could be used as a screensaver.
Upon seeing the man in the picture, Xia Linyin nodded, "Open the door! Open the door!"
Xia Linyin opened the living room door and ran into the yard, her pretty face showing excitement at seeing an old acquaintance. "Jinyan! I've come to Area A too!"
A gentle smile played on Su Jinyan's lips as he embraced Xia Linyin and patted her head. "Congratulations."
Releasing the person in her arms, Su Jinyan looked at Xia Linyin, who was smiling radiantly, and said softly, "Come on, I'll take you for a walk."
“Okay!” Xia Linyin followed Su Jinyan into a two-seater car.
"This is a solar-powered electric car. It's very easy to operate. Even people who can't drive can quickly get the hang of it. You should have one in your garage too."
Su Jinyan started the electric car. He looked at the person next to him, then looked up at the sky and felt that the sunshine was particularly warm today.
“I live here, number 62. I saw you just as you opened the window,” Su Jinyan said, pointing to a villa not far from Xia Linyin’s residence.
After taking Xia Linyin for a walk, Su Jinyan drove to the front of the two buildings.
"These are Building 1 and Building 2 in Area A. The first floor of Building 1 is a food court, the second floor is a shopping mall, and the third floor is a cinema and an arcade. Building 2 is specifically for players to train, and it has a shooting range, a boxing ring, and other training facilities."
Su Jinyan introduced the car to Xia Linyin as she parked it in the parking lot.
After getting out of the car, the two walked towards Building No. 1. As soon as they entered the building, an enticing aroma wafted towards them.
Su Jinyan filled a disposable cup with freshly squeezed juice and handed it to Xia Linyin. "The juicer has an inexhaustible supply of juice. No matter how many cups you fill, it can still squeeze out more juice. Isn't that amazing?"
Xia Linyin nodded, took a sip of the juice. It was very fresh and pure, and tasted great. Not only the juice, but everything here seemed inexhaustible, defying common sense.
"If all of this is true, then the mastermind behind all of this is God. Only God could do these things, right?" Su Jinyan's eyes were deep, and the last three words seemed to be a question to Xia Linyin as well as a question to himself.
"Linyin, you previously said you favored the idea of consciousness entering the game, and now I'm starting to agree with that view."
Looking at Xia Linyin's thoughtful face, Su Jinyan patted her head. "I shouldn't have said that. There are lots of delicious foods in Area A. Let's go and celebrate your arrival in Area A."
When Xia Linyin and Su Jinyan came out of the building, Xia Linyin's belly was so swollen that she could barely walk.
The two of them carried large and small bags and drove Xia Linyin home. After handing over all the bags to Xia Linyin's house, Su Jinyan drove away.
She hung the new clothes in the closet, put the fruits and vegetables in the refrigerator, arranged the daily necessities, and placed the snacks on the table. Xia Linyin then took her bathrobe and went into the bathroom.
However, the thought of Number 83, even though I know that I have been censored and Number 83 will not peek, and even if he did see it, it would be the same for Number 83 whether he was dressed or not, it is just a house, still feels strange.
After quickly taking a shower, Xia Linyin crawled into bed. Before closing her eyes, she tentatively said, "Goodnight, No. 83."
Xia Linyin's voice was very soft, but she still received a reply from No. 83: "Good night, Master."
Xia Linyin sat up. "You're in my room! You haven't said a word, I thought you were in the living room!"
"Master, you are inside my body, I am everywhere."
Xia Linyin: "..."
That sounds a bit odd.
Xia Linyin crawled back into bed and covered herself with the blanket. "You're so smart, it's really scary."
"Master, you'll get used to it."
"……All right."
Xia Linyin fell asleep, but she was startled awake by Number 83. She didn't know how Number 83 did it, but as if teleporting objects, he put the blanket that she had kicked off the bed back over her.
In the dead of night, when all was quiet, Xia Linyin vaguely felt the blanket slowly moving, and was instantly awakened.
The result on the second day was that Xia Linyin had two dark circles under her eyes. Even though she hadn't slept well the night before, training was still essential.
Running with sandbags strapped to her legs is a part of Xia Linyin's training routine, and she runs for several kilometers at a time.
After a day of training, Xia Linyin was invited by Su Jinyan to have dinner at his house that evening.
Wearing an apron, Su Jinyan slicing potatoes into thin strips on the cutting board with fluid movements, each strip distinct and as thin as willow branches. After putting the sliced potatoes into water, Su Jinyan took out green peppers from the basket.
After a few soft "tap tap tap" sounds, the evenly cut green pepper strips were ready, with the error of each strip not exceeding the level visible to the naked eye.
"Let me help you," Xia Linyin said, snapping out of her daze at Su Jinyan's amazing swordsmanship.
"No need, just wait to eat. If you get bored, you can watch a movie for a while." Su Jinyan smiled gently at Xia Linyin, her hands still busy.
After standing at the kitchen door for a while, Xia Linyin returned to the living room with admiration and praise, and turned on the TV to watch a horror movie.
