Chapter 160 The Master is Angry

Xia Linyin was stretched and deformed. After the outer mirror surface shrank, she clearly felt resistance, making it much more difficult for her to get out than before.

However, her upper body had already emerged from the mirror, with her waist stuck on the mirror surface, which was only slightly larger than the rim of a bowl, like a piece of stretched-out gummy candy.

Xia Linyin twisted her waist, trying to squeeze out, grabbing Master Niu's hand and pulling herself out with all her might, but the speed was as slow as squeezing toothpaste.

She released Master Niu's hand and said to him, "Quickly! Grab my waist and pull me out!"

Just as Master Niu was about to grasp Xia Linyin's waist, which was about the thickness of a bowl, a golden light suddenly pierced his hand holding the mirror handle.

Master Niu flicked his wrist, and the mirror fell from his hand, landing on the ground with a "thud".

Yideng emerged from the darkness of the corner, his tall figure gradually becoming visible. The candlelight illuminated his handsome yet otherworldly face, making it appear dim and indistinct.

I have no idea when he came in, or how long he's been standing there.

Knowing that her scheme had been exposed, Xia Linyin anxiously shouted at Master Niu, "Quick! Drag me out! There's only one last step left!!"

Her voice, hoarse from screaming, was almost shrill!

However, the pathetic Taoist priest Niu was so frightened by Yideng's expression that his legs went weak and he turned and ran away!

This really scared me to death!

He had never seen such an expression on Master Yideng's face before. Master Yideng always had no expression on his face, his expression was indifferent and aloof.

His eyes showed no sorrow or joy, no desire or want, seemingly unable to stir any ripples.

But now, for some reason, Master Niu saw a sinister look on Master Yideng's face, even though Master Yideng didn't get angry, didn't glare at him, or even look at him.

Niu Dao ran very fast. He thought that Master Yideng was incapable of joy, anger, sorrow, or happiness, and had long since seen through the illusions of the world, regarding worldly things as mere dirt. It turns out that Master Yideng could also get angry after discovering that his treasures had been stolen.

"Master Niu!!!" Xia Linyin stretched out her hand, watching helplessly as Master Niu's figure disappeared from sight.

She slammed her fist on the ground in anger, her nails digging deep into her palm.

Upon hearing Xia Linyin's shrill voice, Master Niu slipped and nearly fell down the mountain.

Oh no, we've been exposed! This mirror ghost is trying to drag him down with us!

The Mirror Ghost must hate him to death!

Also, will Master Yideng chase him to the ends of the earth?

In fact, Master Niu regretted it the moment he ran out of the temple. If he had pulled the Mirror Ghost out of the Demon-Revealing Mirror in one go, and then let the Mirror Ghost set up an illusion to hold back Master Yideng and cut off the connection between them, and then he could have escaped with the Demon-Revealing Mirror, it would have been just as the Mirror Ghost had planned.

He wouldn't have ended up like this, getting nothing in return and even stirring up a hornet's nest.

However, upon seeing Master Yideng's expression, he instinctively ran away, and by the time he realized what was happening, it was too late to go back.

The demon-revealing mirror lay face up on the ground, with Xia Linyin's lower body stuck inside it and her upper body sprawled on the ground, her long black hair trailing behind her.

She felt extremely embarrassed. Looking up, Xia Linyin glared hatefully at Yideng.

Yideng looked down at Xia Linyin, his voice icy, "Go back!"

"I won't go back!" Xia Linyin's voice was even colder than his.

After looking at Xia Linyin for a while, Yideng said, "Then you can just stay here like this."

With Buddhist power swirling around his fingertips, he used his fingers as a brush to draw a large circle around Xia Linyin's body.

After drawing the circle, Yideng left the meditation room without giving Xia Linyin another glance.

The mirror behind her was like a heavy shackle binding her. Xia Linyin dragged the mirror forward a few steps with difficulty, then stretched out her hand. A golden circle appeared on the ground, and a dazzling golden light shone brightly.

Her finger was severed by the golden light, but when she withdrew her hand, the severed finger grew back.

Xia Linyin lay on the ground, her shoulders trembling slightly, and suppressed sobs escaped intermittently.

A pine branch slowly stretched in through the window, stopping above Xia Linyin's head, as if it wanted to gently pat her head, but after a brief pause, it withdrew again.

In the courtyard, a faint sigh drifted away on the wind.

Three days passed in the blink of an eye. During these three days, Xia Linyin was trapped in the golden circle and did not return to her room.

Xia Linyin was idly braiding her hair. Yideng hadn't come to see her, nor had he mentioned when the gold ring would be removed. It seemed that as long as she didn't return to the mirror, she would remain in this state.

Even so, Xia Linyin had no intention of going back. Having finally managed to get half of her body out of the mirror, she didn't want to go back in, even though her current position was very uncomfortable.

Yideng was patient, and she was just as patient. She refused to believe that the bald monk would stop using the demon-revealing mirror from now on and would keep her locked up like this forever.

"Sister, sister!"

Xia Linyin was stunned for a moment, a look of disbelief on her face, before she realized that it was Xia Xuan's voice.

"Sister, sister!" Xia Xuan ran excitedly into the meditation room, carrying a stack of origami paper, her voice full of joy.

Xia Linyin propped herself up on her elbows, lying on her side on the ground. When she saw Xia Xuan, she gently waved to him, "It's Xuanxuan! Come over here and let your sister see, you seem to have grown quite a bit taller."

Xia Xuan stopped at the door, then shook his head at Xia Linyin. Afraid that Xia Linyin would be angry, he quickly explained, "The master said that after my sister comes out of the mirror, she will turn to ashes and disappear. He told me not to get close to you."

Upon hearing this, Xia Linyin straightened up and asked in surprise, "He... he really said that?"

"Yes!" Xia Xuan nodded heavily.

He crouched down and carefully put down the origami he was holding.

Xia Linyin looked at the stack of red papers with a puzzled expression and asked, "What is this?"

"These are the clothes I'm going to burn for my sister!" Xia Xuan said happily, taking out a lighter.

"Wait! Kids shouldn't play with fire. It's unsafe. Give me your lighter, and I'll light it for you!" Xia Linyin reached out her hand.

"But the master told me not to get close to my sister." Xia Xuan pouted, seemingly frustrated that she couldn't get close to Xia Linyin.

"Xuanxuan, do you want to listen to the master or your sister? That master is not a good person at all. He treats me badly, bullies me all the time, and even deliberately lied to you to tell you not to get close to me. He's really wicked." Xia Linyin raised her hand to wipe her eyes.

Xia Xuan looked conflicted. He really wanted to go over and hug his sister, but his mother told him to listen to the master. The master said that his sister would vanish into thin air after leaving the mirror, and he didn't want his sister to disappear.

My sister said that the master treated her badly and often bullied her. Is that true?
