Chapter 741 Strange Talk 23

Top secret files.

The orc incident in Bin City.

The first case occurred on January 9 this year.

In Mujia Village, Lu County, which is under the jurisdiction of Bin City, villagers Mu Dahe and Mu Zhen reported the case at 19:21 on January 9. Their second son Mu Tian went out at around 9 am that day and never returned.

Around 12 noon, Mu Tian did not come home for lunch. Mu Zhen noticed something was wrong and searched the village but couldn't find him. Mu Zhen panicked and quickly notified Mu Dahe. Mu Dahe mobilized more than a dozen people in the village to search together. They searched for an entire afternoon but still couldn't find Mu Tian. Then the couple called the police.

Police forces were dispatched, and during the police search, a police dog found suspicious bloodstains at the foot of the mountain near the village. They followed the bloodstains up the mountain and finally found Mu Tian's body deep in the forest.

A forensic examination determined that Mu Tian's cause of death was a severed neck by a wild animal, followed by a ripped-open stomach and the consumption of some of his internal organs. Based on tooth marks left in the wound, the initial suspicion was that it was a large feline carnivore.

A man-eating beast appeared on the mountain. Not only Mujia Village, but also several villages close to the mountain were in panic.

The police mobilized a large amount of manpower and resources to search the mountain, but found no trace of the beast.

The second incident occurred on January 13 this year.

At 5:57 p.m., Feng Village, Pei County, under the jurisdiction of Bin City, received a call from villager Yao Feng, who claimed that her daughter Li Baoer had been kidnapped by a madman.

When the police arrived at the scene, the villagers had been searching for more than half an hour but found nothing.

According to witnesses, after school at 5 o'clock, Li Baoer and a dozen other children in the village were playing in the snow by the woods.

While the children were playing, a madman suddenly rushed out from the woods and picked up Li Baoer. Several older children who were nearby rushed forward to help, but ended up being bitten and scratched.

The madman was very strong and the children were no match for him. In the end, Li Baoer was taken into the woods by him.

Deep in the woods, there are said to be wolves.

The children didn't dare to chase in, so they hurried back to call their parents.

According to the children's testimony, the madwoman had a dirty face and head covered with dirt, and wore dirty black clothes. She was about 1.6 meters tall and relatively small in stature. She might be a woman. She did not speak, but could only scream "Ahhh..."

One child said that he saw the madman's face, which was covered with long hair and looked as ferocious as a beast.

After launching a search, the police dog followed the scent and found Li Baoer's body after going more than two kilometers into the woods.

The forensic examination showed that the cause of death was also a wild beast biting off the neck, then opening the stomach and eating some of the internal organs. Based on the tooth marks left on the wound, it was also a large feline carnivore that committed the crime, and the possibility of a wolf was ruled out.

The people of Fengcun were also in panic because of this incident.

On March 23 of the same year, the relevant departments of Pei County handled a death registration.

Li Tian, a 13-year-old boy from Feng Village, was woken by his mother at around 7:00 a.m. on the 19th. She discovered he had a fever and, assuming it was a common cold, took him to the village barefoot doctor for cold medicine. However, two days later, Li Tian's symptoms persisted, including fever, headaches, occasional convulsions, and sensitivity to light, wind, and water.

Li Tian's parents took people to the county hospital. After a series of examinations, they confirmed that it was rabies and had entered the infective stage.

Li Tian's parents cried and wailed, but in the end, Li Tian died after just a few days.

Because of Li Tian’s death, all stray dogs in the village were killed, and families who kept dogs had to tie their dogs in their own yards.

On April 7 of the same year, Li Yueyue, a 14-year-old female from Fengcun, developed fever symptoms. She was sent to the county hospital by her family and was diagnosed with rabies, which was in the incipient stage.

Five days later, Li Yueyue died.

After two rabies deaths, the villagers found it unusual and called the police.

After relevant investigation, the police found that Li Tian and Li Yueyue were both eyewitnesses to Li Baoer's death. Moreover, according to their family members' recollections, the two were injured to varying degrees while saving people.

Li Yueyue had a little skin broken on her arm, while Li Tian had a bloody scratch on his face.

In the same village, the families of several other children immediately fell into panic.

On June 2, Fengcun, Li Le, 13 years old, male, died of rabies.

On July 12, Fengcun, Chen Linzhen, 42 years old, female, died of rabies.

On August 29, Fengcun, Li Fugui, 12 years old, male, died of rabies.

As of now, a total of 12 people have died of rabies in Fengcun, including 7 children under the age of 16 who were eyewitnesses to Li Baoer's death and were scratched to varying degrees by the "madman".

The other five adults are relatives of the deceased children, and the possibility of cross-infection through daily contact cannot be ruled out.

The third case occurred on January 16 this year.

At 19:21, Da Rao Village, Hong County, under the jurisdiction of Bin City, received a report that some villagers were attacked by unknown creatures.

When the police arrived at the scene, the victim had already been sent to the hospital.

Testimonies from eyewitnesses and neighbors of the victim.

"I heard Zhang Min shouting, so I went out to check. As soon as I walked out the door, I saw a large creature squatting on the wall of his yard. It was so strange. It jumped several meters away with a whoosh, and then disappeared with a whoosh. It moved very nimbly, and it ran on four legs like an animal! Just like... a cat. Yes, a cat! However, its body shape didn't look like a tiger or a leopard. In short, it was very strange."
