She immediately sat up and looked back, but only saw a few people lying there resting.
Someone on night watch looked at Mo Qin suspiciously, asking her with his eyes if there was anything wrong.
Mo Qin shook her head and lay down again.
Until Mo Qin fell into a deep sleep, that sight never appeared again.
As the sky brightened, everyone woke up.
Mo Qin looked at the people busy packing their luggage, wondering who that gaze belonged to.
"Did you sleep well last night?"
Abner's gentle voice sounded from behind, and his whole body seemed to be bathed in the morning light, making people feel sacred and inviolable.
Mo Qin smiled back at him, politely yet distantly.
"I slept well, thank you for your concern."
There wasn't much to pack, so everyone was ready quickly.
Abner looked at the pretty and charming girl in front of him and invited her:
"You will ride in the carriage with me."
There were knights in front and behind the team, they were on horseback, while Abner was in a carriage.
Riding a horse was definitely out of the question, and if she refused Abner's invitation, she would have to walk.
Mo Qin didn't want to walk, so she agreed.
"Your Excellency the Holy Son..." Elaine stood aside, her face full of disapproval.
How could this woman who appeared out of nowhere be allowed to sit in the carriage of the Holy Son?
As a servant of the Holy Son, she has no right to sit.
Abner's gentle gaze fell on Elaine's face, and she subconsciously fell silent.
She has no right to influence the adults' decision.
Elaine glared at Mo Qin and stood back beside the carriage angrily.
When getting into the car, Abner went in first, then turned around and reached out to Mo Qin, wanting to help her.
Mo Qin was slightly surprised.
Abner was too caring towards her.
She lifted her skirt and took a half step back. "This is really too much trouble for you. I can do it myself..."
She really couldn't bring herself to say the word "adult".
As a god, how can you call a mortal "sir"?
She refused.
Abner's outstretched hand froze in mid-air.
No one ever turned him down.
"Sir Saint, please let me do it. How could you do such a thing?"
Elaine rushed forward and eased the awkwardness.
"Then I'll leave it to you, Elaine." Abner withdrew his hand and smiled gently at her.
Elaine's face turned red and she reached out to support Mo Qin.
Mo Qin: She can do it herself!
Is it true that no one considers her opinion?
The group shuttled through the jungle, and their speed was not very fast.
Abner noticed that Mo Qin's eyes fell on the book. He picked up the book and opened it casually.
"interested?"
The books record some intermediate and advanced divine arts.
The girl seems to have only learned so-so divine arts. Can she understand a book like this?
Mo Qin was of course interested.
She nodded honestly, like a little girl who had not seen much of the world.
Abner curled his lips, put the book aside, and took out another one from the drawer.
"This one is more suitable for you."
He handed the book to Mo Qin and said patiently, "If there's anything you don't understand, you can always ask me."
"Thank you."
Mo Qin accepted it happily and started reading it immediately.
Abner looked at her quietly for a while. The girl was so focused on reading that she didn't even glance at him.
As the Son of God, isn't there a book that is attractive to him?
But he couldn't take the initiative to ask.
In the following days, Abner was very caring towards Mo Qin, but Mo Qin remained polite and distant, trying hard to be a polite little lady.
Abner was a little unhappy because Mo Qin was too cold towards her.
I didn't ask him any questions.
As a god, Mo Qin naturally has a high affinity for the element of light.
Even if he is a salted fish, it is still much higher than Abner.
The magic arts in the book were not difficult for Mo Qin. She secretly tried a few simple ones and got the hang of them easily without even having to recite any spells.
And the sight from before never appeared again, as if it was her illusion.
This forest is very large. Even with someone leading the way, it took them three days to get out of the forest.
If she were alone, Mo Qin really didn't know when she would be able to get over it.
"There's a town ahead. Let's rest there tonight."
Abner sat in the carriage and gave instructions to the person in front in a deep voice.
After living in the wild for a few days, we were finally able to sleep on a bed and everyone was very happy.
In the evening, everyone entered the city and found a church where they could stay overnight.
As night approached, some of the team had already gone to the city to relax.
"Elianen, are you going to give this to Miss Qin?"
The black-haired, black-eyed boy appeared silently, his eyes fixed on the tray in Elaine's hand.
On top was a clean set of clothing.
"right."
Elaine was startled, and her gaze with a hint of contempt fell on the boy.
Black is not a favorite color among the followers of the Temple of Light.
Such people often have poor affinity with the element of light, and their divine arts are naturally poor. The young man in front of them is a rare exception, otherwise he would not have acted with them this time.
"I'm on my way, why don't you let me take it."
The young man ignored her contempt and just stated his purpose. His tone was cold and hard, not polite at all.
Elaine wanted it more than anything, she didn't want to give anything to that woman.
Only those men are extremely active.
After handing the things to the boy, she turned quickly and headed towards Abner's room.
