Chapter 351 Praying to God 15

Elaine secretly wondered if she was trying to steal the credit from the Holy Son.

For Mo Qin, whether he had made any contribution or not was not important; what was important was the person Abner.

If she didn't take the initiative to ask to go together, the Pope would probably assign her somewhere else.

By then, they were thousands of miles apart, so how could she know what Abner wanted to find through this opportunity?

In the plot, Abner came to the South three months later.

Now it's early.

If he didn’t find what he was looking for in the plot, what about this time?

Instead of searching around like a headless fly, it is better to act with Abner and wait and see.

It is impossible for her to be content and she will take the opportunity to cause trouble.

"Elaine, how dare you! Who gave you permission to speak to an adult like that?"

A low scolding voice suddenly sounded, instantly attracting everyone's attention.

Wenzel separated the two people in a protective manner, raising his hands to protect the petite girl behind him.

Elaine's face paled, and she was so embarrassed that she didn't know how to react.

"Elaine!"

Abner's face was gloomy. Even if he didn't hear the specific content, he could guess the general idea.

Elaine had said a lot of bad things about Mo Qin in private, so it was not surprising that she said something to Mo Qin's face now that they met.

"Sir, I just..."

"That's enough. Now is not the time to talk about this."

Abner looked deeply at Wenzel and Moqin, then continued walking towards the village.

Every time he saw Mo Qin, he felt like he had lost something.

Mo Qin said nothing and followed the crowd.

Looking at the girl's back, Wenzel's eyes dimmed for a moment. The girl's attitude towards him had obviously become colder recently.

They didn't deliberately lower their voices, but no one in the village came out to check what was going on, not even looking through the window.

It seemed that the villagers didn't care at all about who came or what they came for.

As the leader of the team, Abner did not ask anyone to knock on the door, but instead led everyone around the village.

Finally stopped at the temple gate.

The temple was dilapidated and had fallen into disrepair, and the courtyard was overgrown with weeds, but a dim light was on inside, with no warmth in sight, only desolation.

Before I could knock on the door, a middle-aged man came out.

He was wearing a dark robe and holding a lantern, his wrinkled face lifeless.

His calm eyes swept across the crowd, finally lingering on Abner and Mo Qin. He slowly spoke:

"You are visiting us late at night, but would you like to stay overnight?"

Mo Qin looked at the building behind him and could already imagine what it was like inside.

Apart from being a shelter from the wind and rain, it cannot be called a place of accommodation at all.

But there is no better choice right now.

Compared to the outside, the inside is not much better.

All I can say is that he is consistent inside and out.

The lobby is right after you enter the door. It seems that no one has cleaned it for a long time. The chandelier on the ceiling is covered with cobwebs, and there seems to be no electricity here.

The life-size stone statue in the center of the front looks the cleanest. There are a few candles lit next to the statue, which is the only light source in the room.

The man holding the lantern said calmly:

"You can call me Jeff. There are plenty of empty rooms on the first and second floors."

He turned and walked to the corridor on the left, pushing open a door casually. Thick dust flew up, causing him to cough violently.

"I'm sorry, I can't clean it up by myself."

The room was not big, and there was only an old, cracked wooden bed in it. The dust inside was almost as thick as an finger.

This is still considered good, as some rooms don’t even have wooden beds.

There weren't many rooms, but they were enough for them.

In just a few minutes, the resting place for everyone was allocated.

Jeff held the lamp and watched the strangers busy packing up with a numb expression. After watching for a few minutes, he spoke again:

"Everyone have a good sleep, I'm going back to my room to rest."

After saying this, without waiting for their response, he turned around and walked upstairs with the lamp in his hand.

Mo Qin lives on the first floor, and after a simple cleanup, it is barely habitable.

"My room is next door. If you have any instructions, please feel free to call me." Wenzel stood outside the door with a bit of depression on his face.

"Um."

Mo Qin was about to close the door when Wenzel spoke again.

"Do you... hate me?"

He lowered his eyes, not even daring to look at Mo Qin's expression. His hands were clenched helplessly at his sides, looking harmless and pitiful.

Mo Qin remained unmoved, her tone calm, "I didn't."

She can ignore Wenzel's position and reasons for what he did. This is not her world, and there will be no constraints for her.

She was only here to complete the mission.

But there are only two points that are the bottom line that cannot be touched.

Without any memory and with a completely new identity, is Wenzel really trustworthy to her?

Her memory of the previous world was not clear, and she didn't know if this was the first time she had such doubts.

As she learned divine arts, her strength was indeed increasing, but her affinity with the element of light was definitely far more than that.

What exactly did he do.

"Is there anything else you want to say?"

Wenzel raised his eyes and met Mo Qin's gaze. He was stunned for a moment, then shook his head.

Mo Qin was not surprised to get such an answer.

"good evening."

It seems that he is not going to say anything unless the evidence is put in front of him.
