Chapter 355: Praying to God 19

Under pressure from the crowd, Jeff took the man to the basement.

"That's the one..."

Jeff shrank his body, still trembling a little.

The basement is not big, and it seems a bit crowded when a group of people squeeze in.

The bright firelight illuminated the scene inside. Near the center of the basement, a formation was drawn with dark brown lines. The complex lines crisscrossed, and in the center was a huge eye.

And there is a small black box in the position of the pupil.

The people present didn't know what kind of formation this was, but their first impression was that it was not a good thing.

Others couldn't see it, so Mo Qin, a newcomer to the industry, naturally couldn't see anything either.

Just as everyone was at a loss as to what to do with this thing, Jeff took the initiative to speak:

"I, I know how to turn this thing off."

"As long as, as long as you don't kill me."

Everyone's eyes immediately fell on him. Jeff was afraid that everyone would misunderstand him, so he explained repeatedly.

"When outsiders come to the village, this formation will be automatically triggered. It wasn't me who did it, but it needs to be manually closed afterwards. Once closed, the fog outside will dissipate."

Some people questioned, "Why didn't you close it earlier?"

According to him, the formation was activated last night. He knew how to shut it down, but he insisted on waiting until now.

"I, I... I had no choice."

Faced with the questioning, Jeff was hesitant.

He is still cursed. If his life was not at stake, why would he say this on his own initiative?

Everyone was skeptical.

They didn't completely trust Jeff's words.

"What do you think?"

Mo Qin, who was still studying the strange formation, was suddenly called. She did not answer Abner's question, but asked Jeff a question.

"If we shut down this formation, will the people who were injured and mad before be able to regain their sanity?"

The fog will dissipate, but what about the insects?

"This... should be possible..." Jeff looked at everyone's faces carefully, afraid of saying something wrong.

"I don't know either. I haven't tried it! Those people can't tell me. This..."

Mo Qin once again gave the choice to Abner:

"I'm fine now, you guys make the decision."

Jeff was cursed, and in order to save his life, his first choice was to kill them all.

What they are most concerned about now are their companions who have been injured and lost their minds. In this situation, they still have no choice but to agree to Jeff's proposal.

Sure enough, Abner was silent for a moment, and finally had to let Jeff do it.

There was no way. No one at the scene had never seen this kind of formation before, and no one dared to act rashly.

"Behave yourself! If you dare to play any tricks, I'll send you to the pit to keep company with those who died in vain!"

Just as Jeff was about to take action, he was frightened by the threat from the person next to him.

"I dare not, I dare not."

He took out a black stone from his pocket and muttered a few spells, and the eyes that were originally open in the formation closed.

After a moment, he said, "I have already closed the formation. Please don't kill me! This is what you promised!"

A rough-looking man grabbed Jeff's collar, and Jeff's feet were instantly off the ground.

"Go to hell! Who promised you that?"

"stop!"

Abner spoke up to stop the man, and although the man was dissatisfied, he still let Jeff go.

"Let's go outside and check the situation first."

After waiting for a while, the fog outside began to dissipate.

Whether out of a sense of contract or to be on the safe side, Abner did not have anyone kill Jeff. Instead, he ordered his men to search him, tie him up, and lock him in a room on the first floor.

"The fog is really starting to lift!"

"It seems what he said is true."

"Humph! He wouldn't dare to lie!"

The originally thick fog gradually became thinner, and the original appearance of the village gradually emerged.

Soon, several figures were seen running towards this side. Before they got close, they started shouting:

"So you're here! Where's the doctor? Is he here too?"

"Come and help!"

"Just now, when the fog began to clear, he gradually became quiet."

Two men carried an unconscious man into the house.

"The doctor's not here."

"But the fog is lifting now. Let's go out and find a doctor."

Wenzel came in behind the three people. He walked straight to Mo Qin and called him "Sir" in a low voice. Mo Qin nodded and said nothing else.

Abner, on the other hand, frowned and asked, "As a servant, why don't you stay with Qin?"

If you leave your post without the master's orders, it is dereliction of duty.

Wenzel didn't say anything, but just lowered his head, looking like he was admitting his mistake.

Mo Qin: “…”

It would be a waste of talent if I didn't act.

The people who came back with him helped to excuse himself.

"Master Shengzi, Wenzel accidentally got separated from Master Qin. He met us while he was on his way to look for someone."

Wenzel didn't go down the stairs. Instead, he admitted his mistake and said, "I failed in my duty."

But he was not talking to Abner, but to Mo Qin.

If she hadn't been absolutely sure that the person she met before was Wenzel, she would have believed it.

Abner persisted, "You..."

"Your Excellency, I will discipline my people privately. The most urgent task is to find a doctor."

Although those crazy people have calmed down now, there is no guarantee that something unexpected will happen.

Not just finding the doctor, but other people as well.

Being humiliated, a hint of displeasure flashed in Abner's eyes. "Don't be too indulgent to your subordinates. Tolerance and kindness don't mean having no bottom line."
