Qili deliberately brought it up in front of several people, and looked at Wenzel as if she was looking at an item to be sold.
"Is this your attendant?" He asked with a hint of ambiguity. "I believe you must be very satisfied with him."
"Although she has black hair and black eyes, she's pretty good-looking and has a good figure..."
Mo Qin interrupted Qili, "Miss Qili, do you make this comment about every man you see?"
"What?" Qili was probably still unconscious, or she was overwhelmed by joy.
"Commenting on her appearance, what's the difference between you and those hooligans who disrespect women?"
Mo Qin smiled slightly, but Qili felt particularly irritated.
"That's not what a lady should do."
Qili said that she had received aristocratic education since childhood, so how could she have the right to be taught etiquette by a village girl who appeared out of nowhere.
She had a look of disdain on her face:
"Humph! He's just a servant!"
"If he didn't have some talent, someone of his humble origins would still be a slave!"
Slaves have no human rights.
No matter what, it is impossible for a nobleman to serve as a servant when he enters the temple. This is the pride of the nobility.
Before Mo Qin could say anything, Abner's expression changed.
He was born in poverty, and if it weren't for his extraordinary talent, he would not even be noticed by the nobles.
This was undoubtedly a slap in his face.
He entered the temple at the age of eight. Many people inside the temple knew about his past, but not many people outside the temple knew about it.
Qili's unintentional words hit his sore spot.
Abner's tone was gentle, but his words were not soft at all:
"There are quite a few scum among the children of the nobility."
Qili glared at Mo Qin, bit her lip and stopped talking.
Abner didn't want to stay here either, so he took the initiative to go see the injured.
There is not a single piece of healthy skin on their bodies. They are wrapped like mummies and even their daily needs require care.
Elaine lay in bed, only her eyes could move.
Seeing Abner, she was so excited that tears welled up in her eyes.
Qili followed him into the room. It took her a while to identify who the person was.
"Is this your maid?"
"Um."
Abner was reluctant to say more.
"Is there any possibility of her recovery?"
"Wounds on the skin leave scars."
It's the toxins left behind by those insects.
When Elaine heard this, her tears flowed even more violently.
No one wants to have scars, not to mention that her beauty is something she is proud of.
Qili looked at him a few more times, with regret in her eyes.
It’s not a pity that Elaine can’t recover in the future, but a pity that Mo Qin is okay.
It would be great if Mo Qin was disfigured like Elaine.
Not long after she met Abner, she discovered that Abner and Elaine had a physical relationship.
She had originally wanted to talk to Abner that night, but she didn't expect to hear that kind of voice.
As a lady of aristocracy, she certainly couldn't lower herself to seduce directly. She could only gradually narrow the distance between them and give endless hints.
But until now, she has not been able to successfully sleep with anyone.
Last night she pretended to be drunk and pestered Abner, but was rejected.
She had always wanted to eat something, but she couldn't get to eat it, which made her even more itchy.
"What a shame for such a beautiful face." Qili said maliciously, "Ms. Qin is luckier."
"This is really cruel to someone who loves beauty."
The knife stabbed directly into Elaine's lungs.
“Wuwuwu!!”
Qili pretended to comfort him, "I'm sorry, I spoke out of turn."
Abner frowned and didn't delve into what Qili said.
He didn't care about Elaine's mood.
After a quick glance, he left the room.
Elaine was filled with hatred.
If it weren't for Mo Qin, she wouldn't have taken the initiative to talk to the villagers. Why is she the only one who has become like this, while Mo Qin is fine!
And that woman Qili, she must tear her mouth apart!
-
At dinner time, those who had gone out to relax came back. Their high spirits dropped to the ground when they saw Abner, and everyone's mood began to become depressed again.
They still want to go back.
On the one hand, the bodies need to be transported back, but on the other hand, if the people cannot be found, it will be a waste of effort. Even if they can be found, they don’t want to die.
Everyone has seen how cruel that person is.
Their mission is to solve problems in the village, not to arrest anyone.
In the past, such situations had to be reported first, and then the higher-ups would make a decision. If the person really wanted to be caught, more people would have to be dispatched.
So they brought up the matter again at the dinner table.
Just when Abner was about to lose his temper, Qili stepped forward.
"Don't worry, I will send someone to help return the victim's body and pass on the message."
"The injured are not suitable for long journeys, so it's better for them to rest here. I will arrange everything."
He even wore a tall hat.
"It is my honor to lend a hand to righteous people like you."
Everyone: We don’t want justice, we just want to go home, thank you.
Having said that, if they continue to make a fuss, it will seem like they are immature. There is nothing we can do but swallow our anger.
Mo Qin did not participate in this topic at all.
But why did Abner insist on keeping them? If he was going to look for something next, wouldn’t it be better to take the opportunity to get rid of them?
