Chapter 43 Sick

Chapter 43 Sick

After a dizzy spell, Xie Liang opened his eyes again and found himself lying on a bed in a hospital ward.

This looked like a private hospital ward, elegantly decorated. Beside the bed stood a fabric sofa and coffee table. Xu He sat on the blue sofa, seemingly asleep.

Xie Liang still felt dizzy. He threw back the quilt and got out of bed, wanting to open the window to get some fresh air.

Xu He, who was lying on the sofa, woke up when he heard the noise. He naturally walked to Xie Liang, opened the window, and then helped Xie Liang sit down on the sofa.

The sunlight slanted into the ward through the window, and a breeze outside the window began to blow the curtains. It was a little after eleven in the morning.

Xie Liang remembered that the last time he came to the dungeon was at night, but now it was daytime. He didn't expect to spend such a long time in the dungeon this time.

Xu He reached out and touched his forehead: "You still have a low-grade fever. You've been in a coma for three days."

Three days had passed so long that Xie Liang thought it was just one day. It was obvious that Xu He had been taking care of him these days. He said embarrassedly, "I'm sorry to bother you these days."

"Xiaoliang, don't be so polite."

Xie Liang pursed his lips and said in confusion: "I just came out of the dungeon. I didn't expect to be in there for so long this time."

Xu He poured a cup of warm water and handed it to Xie Liang: "I guessed it, you had a fever at that time, so..."

Xie Liang sipped the warm water and said, "I also had a fever in the dungeon, but I feel much stronger than before."

"Well, is there anything else that's bothering you?"

Xie Liang tugged at his hospital gown and said, "I'm much better now. I want to go back. It's inconvenient here, and I'm not used to it."

"I ordered takeout. Let's talk after dinner." Xu He said as he rang the bed bell.

The female doctor quickly pushed the treatment cart in and examined Xie Liang.

After taking my temperature, she put down the thermometer and said softly, "You still have a slight fever, but it's not a big deal. Get some rest first."

"I want to be discharged from the hospital." Xie Liang looked at her.

The female doctor shook her head, her expression serious. "Your fainting and high fever are caused by a bacterial infection, and the bacteria in your body are still active. I suggest you stay in the hospital for treatment, at least until your body temperature returns to normal before considering discharge."

Seeing Xie Liang's face full of resistance, Xu He spoke for him, "I understand."

The female doctor nodded and said, "During this period, you will need an IV drip to control the number of bacteria, and you should also drink more warm water to promote detoxification." After that, she pushed the treatment cart away.

"Haven't you entered the dungeon these days?" Xie Liang asked.

"No, let's make a pact." Xu He paused, "I shouldn't have been too far away from you that day."

Hearing his self-blaming tone, Xie Liang hurriedly said, "It's none of your business. It's my own problem."

The doorbell rang, the takeaway had arrived.

Considering that Xie Liang was sick, Xu He ordered a light bird's nest porridge, which was easy to digest and nutritious.

Xie Liang took a few sips of the clear porridge and found it tasted quite good. He quickly finished a bowl.

"This porridge is delicious." Xie Liang wiped his mouth and praised.

Xu He poured him another bowl: "Drink more."

After eating, Xie Liang wanted to go home to get his cell phone, but Xu He handed him the phone as if he had been prepared.

As soon as Xie Liang turned on his phone, a phone call came in.

"I'm Long Qingye." The voice on the other end of the phone was muffled.

"Is there anything wrong?" Xie Liang asked.

"I want to see you." Long Qingye said firmly.

Xie Liang felt that the ward was not a good place to meet: "If it's not urgent, let's wait two days."

"Even if you don't tell me, I can find it, it just takes a little more time." Long Qingye said stubbornly.

"I hope you have something important to say."

In desperation, Xie Liang told Long Qingye the address of the hospital.

Xu He casually asked, "Are your family members coming?"

"No, it's Long Qingye."

Xu He was a little surprised: "You know him?"

"Yes, we met in the last dungeon." Then Xie Liang briefly told Xu He what happened in the last dungeon.

Xu He didn't ask any further questions, just let him take a nap, and then walked out of the room.

The sun was high in the blue sky, the clouds were light and the breeze was gentle, and there was a lot of heat outside without air conditioning.

Xu He stood at the entrance of the inpatient building, waiting patiently for that person.

Half an hour later, Long Qingye, wearing a white T-shirt and casual pants, carrying something in his hand, hurried to the inpatient building.

Seeing Xu He standing against the wall, he asked in surprise: "It's you?"

Xu He looked unhappy: "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, do I need to report my affairs to you?"

"Stay away from Xiaoliang." Xu He's voice was warning.

Long Qingye didn't say anything. He glanced at him and quickly walked towards the elevator in the lobby of the inpatient building. Xu He followed him up.

Xie Liang always felt that the atmosphere in the ward was weird, but he couldn't tell what was wrong.

Seeing Xu He peeling an apple, Long Qingye also took out an apple from the fruit basket he brought and started peeling it.

Xu He placed the plate of sliced apples on Xie Liang's bedside table: "Have some fruit."

"What a coincidence! I'm lacking vitamins recently." Long Qingye said as he picked up the plate of apples that Xu He had cut, and started eating them regardless of the other's gloomy face.

"It's quite sweet." After finishing the meal, he put the peeled apple on the plate and handed it to Xie Liang, "Try this."

Xu He took the plate naturally: "Eat grapes, apples are hard to digest."

Xie Liang was very helpless. He thought that Long Qingye came to him to talk about something related to the copy, but he didn't expect that this man had been there for more than an hour and had been arguing with Xu He.

Xie Liang looked at the two people who were secretly arguing with each other and couldn't help asking, "Do you two have a grudge against each other?"

"It's not a matter of grudge, I just don't like him," said Long Qingye.

Xu He glanced at Long Qingye expressionlessly.

Xie Liang put down his phone and yawned: "If you guys have nothing to do, go out and have a fight. I want to take a nap."

Seeing that he was too sleepy to open his eyes, Xu He forcibly pulled Long Qingye out of the room.

Long Qingye shook off Xu He's hand and walked towards the tree-lined avenue of the inpatient building.

He remembered that he met Xu He at an auction. At that time, they both took a fancy to a collectible imperial green jadeite. They kept bidding against each other, and raised the price tenfold.

In the end, he didn't compete with Xu He for the overpriced jadeite. He remembered that he even congratulated Xu He with a few words, although those words sounded a bit sarcastic.

Long Qingye asked Xu He who was standing beside him, "I remember we didn't have any deep hatred, right?"

"No." Xu He said in a cold tone.

"Why do you keep picking on me?"

Xu He stopped when he heard that, turned around and said bluntly: "It's not targeted now, but if you dare to have other ideas about him, you will be my enemy." Xu He, who was in his thirties, suddenly felt that he was a little naive, but as a man, he knew what Long Qingye was thinking.

After saying that, Xu He turned and left.

Long Qingye looked at his receding figure and said with a smile, "Interesting."

Long Qingye has been aware of his sexual orientation for a long time, and he has never lacked bed partners. For him, that is the best way to satisfy his desires.

However, what Xie Liang brought to him was a double touch of desire and soul, which made him addicted.

He remembered the feeling when he rested his head on Xie Liang's chest before. That electric current-like feeling instantly ran through his body, and the uncontrollable desire began to surge again.

Thinking of this, he pulled out his phone, quickly sent a text message, and hailed a taxi to the hotel they had arranged. For him, the object of his desire wasn't important, as long as they were obedient and pleasing to the eye.
