Chapter 79 Green Bunny
The two Li Dongs had already started fighting, and the two Ji Ranzis were also cursing at each other. In the entire stone chamber, only Xu He's feet had a shadow.
Obviously, those copies were just their own shadows.
Xu He walked between Xie Liang and the fake Xie Liang.
Xie Liang didn't know whether Xu He could tell which one was the real him, and looked at Xu He somewhat at a loss.
At this time, the fake Xie Liang also looked at Xu He with a bewildered look.
Xie Liang couldn't stand it any longer: "You are not allowed to look at him like that!"
The fake Xie Liang repeated Xie Liang's words almost at the same time.
Xu He suddenly took Xie Liang's hand and pulled Xie Liang behind him.
Xie Liang was a little surprised that Xu He could tell which one was him.
Xu He looked at Xie Liang's clone expressionlessly. The clone seemed a little dull.
Suddenly, the clone stared at Xu He and said mechanically, "Brother He, I am the real Xie Liang."
Xu He ignored him and quickly drew out the black sword and stabbed it into his chest.
After a while, the clone gradually turned into a black and flat shadow, and crawled at Xie Liang's feet again.
Xie Liang looked at Xu He, puzzled, "How did you know which one was me just now?"
"The words you shouted at me before." Xu He said.
Xie Liang still didn't understand: "It also cried?"
"You're faster than it. When you see someone you know get hurt, you instinctively shout out your concern without having to think about how to say it."
Xie Liang couldn't help but want to tease him: "Well, if you make a wrong judgment, I will be in trouble!"
"It can't be wrong." Xu He said firmly.
"Can you two stop chatting? I'm about to be hacked to death!" The two Li Dongs not far away said in unison.
The two Li Dongs were fighting fiercely, and the work clothes worn by one of them were chopped into tatters by the kitchen knife in the hand of the other Li Dong.
Xie Liang knew which one was the real Li Dong at a glance.
Obviously, Xu He also saw it. He raised his sword and struck the intact Li Dong with the sword. The copy of Li Dong gradually became as flat as a shadow and returned to the ground beside Li Dong's feet.
"Brother He, how do you know which one is me?" Li Dong asked Xu He with gratitude.
Xu He glanced at him and ignored him. Li Dong approached him again carelessly: "Could it be that you have telepathy with me, brother?"
Xu He glanced at him and said coldly, "Just pick it randomly."
Upon hearing this, Li Dong jumped to Xie Liang's side and said with hurt eyes: "Brother Liang! Tell me he didn't choose randomly!"
Xie Liang looked at him helplessly and said, "He was just kidding. When we saw your tattered coat, we knew which one was you."
Li Dong complained dissatisfiedly: "Damn! Am I so weak in your eyes?"
Xie Liang explained to him, "The emotional fluctuations in the replica's eyes can't keep up with the words it says. If you look closely, you'll be able to tell the difference."
"Have you guys talked enough? If you have, kill this bastard for me right now." The two Ji Ranzi shouted at the three of them in unison.
Ji Ranzi's hands had been tied since she mutated, so her clone's hands were also tied. They couldn't fight, so they could only bump into each other with their bodies, cursing at each other while bumping into each other.
Li Dong walked over and whispered something into the ears of the two Ji Ranzis, which made them silent and glared at him fiercely.
However, Li Dong quickly dealt with the fake Ji Ranzi, but the real Ji Ranzi still looked angry. She ignored Li Dong and walked to stand next to Xie Liang and Xu He.
"What's there to be angry about? It's a normal question, right?" Li Dong muttered as he walked towards them.
"What's the problem?" Xie Liang asked.
"That's right..." Before Li Dong could finish his words, Ji Ranzi interrupted him with a shout, "If you dare to say that, I'll castrate you!"
"Okay, I won't say anything. Don't get angry and hurt yourself." Li Dong smiled and patted her on the back.
Although Ji Ranzi's face had turned gray-brown and was covered with many shiny scales, Xie Liang could still see that she was blushing. He didn't know what question Li Dong asked that caused her to react so strongly.
It was not until he returned to the real world that Xie Liang realized that Li Dong was asking Ji Ranzi whether she was willing to be his wife.
Not long after they dealt with the clones, the four walls of the stone chamber began to vibrate.
After a while, one of the recessed doors in the wall opened.
A dazzling white light shone through the door, and outside was still the high green wall and the wet mud ground.
After walking out of the stone gate, Xie Liang realized that it was already dawn. They had actually walked in that square cement corridor all night.
"Why does this place look like the same road as when we first came in? Damn! Are we going back the same way again?" Li Dong asked while kicking the wet mud on the ground.
Xie Liang pointed to a tall green wall and said, "It's a bit like it, but it's not. Look at the green walls on both sides. They're so high you can't see the top."
"Let's keep going. I feel very cold here." Ji Ranzi said.
"Cold?" Xie Liang reached out to touch her forehead. The moment he touched her skin, it felt like touching a block of ice. Her body temperature was starting to drop to that of a cold-blooded animal. She probably couldn't hold out for much longer. She had to find a way out quickly.
"Let's go, I feel the exit is nearby." Xie Liang said.
Li Dong took off his tattered work jacket and put it on Ji Ranzi, "Come on, put it on, and you won't feel cold if you walk faster."
The group quickened their pace and walked forward. They were extremely hungry. They had drunk all the water long ago and each of them only had one apple left. They didn't dare to eat it unless it was absolutely necessary, for fear that they would starve to death after eating it.
The four of them cheered up and walked forward, paying attention to the surrounding scenery as they walked.
Before they knew it, they had already walked for three hours. The long corridor seemed endless, with no end in sight. If they hadn't marked the path along the way, Xie Liang would have suspected they were going in circles again.
After walking for more than an hour, the four of them sat down with their backs against the green wall, planning to rest for half an hour before continuing.
Li Dong took out the apple from his trouser pocket and stuffed it between Ji Ranzi's bound hands: "Here!"
Ji Ranzi's lips were black, and whenever she spoke, a squeaking or rustling sound came out of her mouth. She looked at Li Dong and shook her head.
At this moment, Xie Liang looked back and saw something whizzing past in the corridor behind him. He was sure it wasn't his eyes.
That thing looks like a green rabbit. How could there be a rabbit in this place, and it’s green too?
Xie Liang stood up and prepared to go over there and take a look.
Xu He stood up after him: "What's wrong?"
"It seems like something is following us." Xie Liang said.
"Go and have a look."
The two of them quickened their pace and walked back the way they came.
"Hey? Why are you going back?" Li Dong said as he helped Ji Ranzi stand up, "Wait for us!" After that, he hurriedly helped Ji Ranzi to chase after them.
When Li Dong caught up with them, he was dumbfounded.
All the marks they had made in the mud when they arrived were gone, as if something had erased them.
"I was wondering why we're still stuck in this mess after walking for so long. It turns out we've been going around in circles!" Li Dong said angrily.
"Something just jumped over here from this wall, and then disappeared." Xie Liang said, pointing to the mud under his feet.
"Isn't this the place where Brother He made the mark? Did that thing erase the mark we made?" Li Dong said.
"Yes, and this thing is very smart. It knows that the marks near us cannot be erased, and only erases the ones far behind us." Xie Liang said.
"Damn it! Could it be the same as last time, with the mirror on the wall causing trouble?" said Li Dong.
"I don't know, let's look for it." Xie Liang said.
Then they began to grope on both walls.
Xie Liang searched very seriously, almost touching the green wall inch by inch. He had searched for dozens of meters but found nothing unusual.
"It's no use keeping looking like this. It's getting dark, and it will be even harder to see when it gets dark!" said Xie Liang.
Li Dong said worriedly, "What should we do? Ji Ranzi is dying. She doesn't respond when I call her. Damn, her strength is getting stronger and stronger. This rope won't be able to bind her anymore!"
Ji Ranzi's teeth were grinding, and she kept trying to rub against him, looking like she was going to bite him. He held her down tightly with both hands.
"Then tie another one and tie her mouth and legs as well. You carry her and make sure she doesn't bite you. Brother He and I will find a way out." Xie Liang said.
It was getting dark and white mist was rising in the corridor. Xie Liang finally discovered a strange place on the green wall.
He found it by feeling it with his hands. If he hadn't felt it with his hands, he would probably never have imagined that there was such a place on the wall until his death.
The wall was clearly uneven and covered with green vines, but when you reached out and touched it, it was flat and smooth, just like touching a piece of smooth glass. The strange area on the wall was exactly the size of a door.
They tried to smash this strange place, but no matter how hard they smashed it or how they poked it with knives or swords, the area remained unresponsive.
"Could this be the exit?" Li Dong asked.
"I don't know. We have to find a way to break it." Xie Liang said.
Night has fallen and the corridor is filled with fog.
They had been there for two hours and everyone had eaten the remaining apples.
Ji Ranzi couldn't eat at first and just kept struggling. Li Dong chewed the apple into pieces and forced it into her mouth.
"Are we going to starve to death here?" said Li Dong.
Xie Liang glanced at him and said, "Didn't you just eat an apple?"
"How long can an apple last? We have tried so many ways but can't get out. Will we die here?" Li Dong's tone was a little gloomy.
"Don't think too much, we can get out." Xie Liang said as he reached out and touched the smooth, strange wall.
As he was feeling around, he moved his hand elsewhere. His hand reached the edge of the strange wall and began to grope among the dense green leaves of the vines.
At this moment, his hand touched a soft, furry object. He didn't have time to be surprised, so he quickly grabbed it and pulled it out with force.
"Damn! Rabbit? How could there be a rabbit here!" Li Dong stared at the green rabbit in Xie Liang's hand and said excitedly.
"That's it! That's what I saw before." Xie Liang said.
This angora rabbit was much smaller than an average rabbit, only slightly larger than a human palm. Its fur and whiskers were all grass-green, almost invisible among the green leaves of the vines. If Xie Liang hadn't reached out and touched it randomly, it would have been difficult for the naked eye to find its hiding place.
