Chapter 1190 Let's talk about split personalities, Celebrity 78

Rong Shang put away her phone and walked over.

"Click," the door opened.

Master Ye stood outside the door, his brows furrowed and his face looking somewhat grave.

Rong Shang seemed to be deep in thought, raising an eyebrow, "Dad?"

Master Ye snapped out of his daze and looked at her.

Are you alright?

"Zhaoxue, did Cheng Siyang come to see you tonight?"

Mr. Ye had just returned from the company and, upon hearing at the door that Cheng Siyang had been hit by a car, rushed over to find her.

There was nothing else to it; the matter was so strange that he just wanted to find out what was going on, lest he be tricked by the Cheng family without even realizing it.

Rong Shang noticed his worry, shook her head, and smiled faintly, "No."

"Qi Yu came in the evening, and since you weren't here, I entertained him. I didn't go out during that time," she explained briefly, concealing a bit of the truth.

Upon hearing this, Master Ye breathed a sigh of relief. "I see. That's good."

She's home tonight, so she should know more about what's happening outside than she does.

However, because her relationship with Cheng Siyang hadn't been particularly pleasant, Master Ye didn't dare to mention him so openly.

His gaze fell on her face. After a few seconds of silence, Mr. Ye tentatively asked, "Do you know what's going on outside?"

"You know a little bit, don't you?"

Master Ye nodded.

They stood at the door for a short while, and then the father and daughter went to the balcony together.

Standing higher up, your view becomes wider and more expansive.

The rain outside had stopped by now, and a slight chill was in the air.

Rong Shang looked down at the villa entrance.

The crowd of onlookers had not yet dispersed.

The ambulance had left several minutes earlier, and what's blocking the way now are police cars from the east of the city.

"You know what? The security cameras outside are broken again."

As she looked down, Master Ye's slightly muffled voice came from beside her. Rong Shang turned her head to look at him, who was holding his hands together and resting them on the edge of the railing in front of him.

It had rained heavily the night before, and there were still obvious raindrops on the fence.

But he seemed oblivious, or perhaps nothing could be more worrying to him than Cheng Siyang's situation.

"Is that so?" Rong Shang said calmly. "I just heard about it too."

It's really strange why the surveillance cameras keep getting destroyed for no reason.

Come to think of it, both of these bad incidents happened right when Cheng Siyang was injured.

Oh right, they were all injured in front of the Ye family's gate.

Master Ye frowned.

You know, this guy must have had a grudge against them in his past life. He didn't get hurt anywhere else, but he had to come to the Ye family's doorstep to get injured.

If nothing had gone wrong last time, Master Ye would have suspected that Cheng Siyang had orchestrated it all.

He realized that his thoughts had long since gone astray, and no matter what, it wouldn't be related to her.

Rong Shang smiled and comforted him, "Dad, you don't need to worry about anything."

"Anyway, it has nothing to do with us."

Right?

Mr. Ye glanced at her, somewhat surprised that she could remain so calm.

But then he patted the back of her hand and said earnestly, "Yes, some people are best left unconnected in this lifetime."

Think about it, he was originally happy and looking forward to their wedding.

I thought my wish to become a grandfather was about to come true, but who knew this would happen halfway through.

Thinking back on it, there's still an inexplicable anger lingering in my heart.

Mr. Ye glanced at the villa entrance, his expression extremely cold.
