The night was getting cooler with the breeze.
Mu Chen left the restaurant, but he still couldn't find Rong Shang outside.
The man frowned as he looked at the busy walkway.
Did she discover something again?
Turning around, the man saw a small alley ahead.
It was unclear what he was up to, but he turned around and ran into the alley.
Shortly after, a beam of red light pierced through the roof and reflected onto the wall.
Blood Spirit Orb?
Almost at the same time Rong Chang discovered it, the firelight disappeared.
The man walked out of the alley.
In an instant, their eyes met.
Are you alright?
As usual, he walked towards her, took her hands, and looked her up and down.
But the woman frowned, her sharp gaze fixed on him.
She wasn't mistaken, was she? Was that really the Blood Spirit Orb?
In her shimmering eyes, the man's handsome face was reflected in her pupils.
Rong Shang suddenly reached out her hand, and the man seemed to notice and immediately stopped her.
Press down, then change to interlocking your fingers.
Do you know that woman?
He was referring to the woman who had just thrown sulfuric acid in the restaurant.
Rong Chang's gaze was sharp, her expression indifferent. "I don't know her."
"Mu Chen." She suddenly called his name.
Upon hearing this, the man's eyes flashed.
"Then let's go back."
"Mu Chen." He took her hand and tried to leave, but Rong Shang stood still.
She pursed her lips, her profile slightly tense.
Rong Shang turned her head to look at him, her eyes slightly narrowed.
She seemed to be thinking about something.
The man didn't hear her voice for quite a while.
Pretending to be nonchalant, he turned around and looked at her gently, "What's wrong?"
"Want to go for a walk?"
“You…” Rong Shang spoke slowly, her gaze deep.
The man waited quietly, as if he already knew what she was going to ask.
"Did you just use the Blood Spirit Orb to find me?"
Otherwise, how could the firelight have disappeared as soon as she appeared?
Otherwise, why would he seem so used to her disappearances and never ask why?
Has he regained his memory?
All memories?
You're overthinking it.
At that moment, the man's cold voice came, directly interrupting all her thoughts.
Rong Chang frowned immediately.
The next second he took out the Blood Spirit Orb and held it up.
"You mean, this thing can find people?"
He didn't know?
"Is it really that amazing?" The man held it in his hand, turning it around and examining it closely.
A moment later, he smiled and said, "If it's really that amazing, wouldn't we make a fortune if we auctioned it off?"
"..."
Is what he said true or false?
Rong Shang gave him a deep look.
The conclusion is: he's faking it.
"Give it to me."
She reached out to take the Blood Spirit Orb from his hand, saying, "If you're going to auction it off, then give it to me."
"Give it to you? No way."
The man lowered his eyes and looked down, his gaze mocking.
Rong Chang was deep in thought.
Sure enough, he really did have his memories.
He couldn't possibly hand over the Blood Spirit Orb to her so easily.
Okay, it's just a test anyway.
Rong Chang shrugged, and just as she was about to say no, she heard him say that.
"It can be changed."
He won't refuse to give it to you.
If she really wants it.
The man pulled her into his arms as he lowered his hand that was holding the Blood Spirit Orb.
He buried his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her pleasant fragrance. "Think carefully about what you have to offer in exchange."
Change?
Rong Shang laughed. "My body?"
She was straightforward and blunt.
The man chuckled. "Your body?"
He repeated a sentence.
But she refused.
Because... he wanted her heart.
