That night, a cold wind blew in gusts.
A dim yellow light shone in the quiet corridor.
As Rong Shang escorted Nan Qiaosheng downstairs, the man glanced at her and said meaningfully, "Lying is bad."
He clearly did not give her an advance on her salary.
Knowing he was referring to this, Rong Shang shrugged and replied with a smile, "Yes, but you lied too, boss."
When his mother asked if it was true, he did say yes.
The man was somewhat helpless, "..."
She kicked him from below to hint at it, which is why he spoke.
That's all.
Nan Qiaosheng took out her phone to check the time; it was almost 10 o'clock.
"You can go in now."
He turned and glanced at her.
Just then, a door opened in the hallway, and hurried footsteps came from behind.
Rong Shang raised an eyebrow, and Nan Qiaosheng instinctively made way for her.
Who knew that the person would rush straight up and bump into him, and then, a heavy force struck, and his hand went empty as the person snatched his phone.
Then, the person ran, heading towards the stairwell.
Rong Shang glanced at it, her expression turning cold.
"Go after them."
She instinctively reached out to step forward, but Nan Qiaosheng pulled her back.
"It's just a cell phone, it's no big deal."
"..."
You must be very rich.
"It's getting late, you should go home so your mother won't worry at home."
He's urging her again.
Rong Shang pursed her lips and hummed in agreement.
"Then I won't see you off, bye-bye."
"Okay, bye-bye." Nan Qiaosheng breathed a sigh of relief and watched the girl turn around and walk back.
He stood there for several seconds, waiting for the wind to pick up.
Nan Qiaosheng had already gone down the stairs.
As she walked away with steady steps, Rong Shang paused.
At that moment, she raised her head, her eyes holding a meaningful look.
It's strange, is it because Nan Qiaosheng has no interest in anything, or is it because... her superpower has failed again?
She'd known him for several days, but she still had no idea what he was thinking.
Shaking her head, Rong Shang took a step to go home.
But then, a scream suddenly came from below.
"No, don't hit me, I'll give your phone back right now."
cell phone?
Upon hearing this, Rong Shang immediately walked to the edge of the corridor.
When she looked down at the courtyard below, she saw the man who had just stolen the phone being trampled under Nan Qiaosheng's foot.
The other person was wincing in pain.
And Nan Qiaosheng...
He had his back to her, so Rong Shang couldn't see the expression on his face.
But I could smell a chill.
That's really strange.
I glanced at it once or twice, and was wondering what would happen next, when my phone rang.
Rong Shang took out her phone and glanced at it; it was a text message from Feng Xi.
Click on it, and the content above is:
[Xiaoyu, what are you doing? Why aren't you answering my calls and texts?]
Did you call? Did you send it?
Rong Shang was unaware of this, as she had just received the phone.
I checked the phone number section, and it was blank.
There were no missed calls.
Click on the text message again, and it's the same – blank.
Did you call me or text me?
She typed out that sentence subconsciously, but then she remembered that the phone came from Nan Qiaosheng, and when she first put it on the table, Xiao Yao was the only one there.
Who deleted her call and text message records?
Turning her head, Rong Shang looked down at Nan Qiaosheng, who had already snatched the phone back from the thief. Could it be him?
With a raised eyebrow, Rong Shang looked away and replied to Feng Xi's text message.
But she didn't expect that just a second ago she was looking at her phone and replying to a text message, and the next second she turned around.
Down below, Nan Qiaosheng was nowhere to be seen.
