Standing at the door, Jing Xi looked around.
He seemed a little nervous, probably because he was afraid of running into someone he knew here.
Two or three minutes had passed since the call was made, and Jing Xi waited and waited.
He checked the time, then looked up at the road ahead.
It's very dark, much darker than the film set.
He prayed in his heart that he would never run into Su Yunmeng.
About a minute later, someone walked out against the light.
Jing Xi glanced at it, but the figure was blurry.
It can't be that much of a coincidence.
He let out a long breath.
We've been waiting far too long. There are thirty or forty lunchboxes of all sizes here.
Jing Xi looked down and stepped on her own shadow. Her slightly hoarse voice came from under her mask, "Hello, are you here to pick up takeout?"
As he spoke, he turned around and took two large bags of takeout food out of the delivery box.
Turning around, I saw that the person in front of me had already arrived.
"Yes, I'm here to pick up my takeout." A familiar voice came from the darkness.
Jing Xi paused for a moment.
Su Yunmeng had already held her breath, not daring to utter a sound.
Then, a loud cracking sound came.
Jing Xi threw down the takeout she was holding.
He abandoned his electric scooter and ran away.
He almost fell when his feet were tripped by the electric scooter.
Su Yunmeng was startled, "Jing Xi."
She chased after him, wanting to help him up.
But the moment her hand touched his sleeve, he raised his hand and flung it away, saying, "Don't touch me!"
"Jing Xi".
Su Yunmeng took a step back and then a step forward. She really didn't know what to do. Should she keep her distance or shamelessly cling to him and beg for his forgiveness?
The gazes around her were intense and fervent. Jing Xi slightly raised her chin, her expression indifferent. "I've delivered the takeout. Goodbye."
After speaking, he turned around.
Su Yunmeng really wanted to stop him, but as soon as she reached out her hand, she remembered what he had just said and pulled it back.
"Jingxi, you...when did you start delivering food?" Her tone was full of shock and disbelief.
Jing Xi remained silent for a few seconds before slightly tilting his head, revealing his handsome profile.
So what if you deliver food?
"I……"
"Miss Su, are you looking down on food delivery workers?"
"I didn't." Fearing he would misunderstand, Su Yunmeng quickly waved her hand to deny it, "I didn't mean to look down on this profession."
But, but...
Su Yunmeng looked him up and down, taking in his clothes and the electric scooter beside him.
How could that be?
She lowered her head and frowned deeply.
A few seconds later, unable to resist, he went up again.
"Jing Xi".
The man looked away from him.
She walked over to him again, looked at him again, and he turned his face away again.
Finally, having no other choice, he simply lowered his head.
He must really hate her, right?
As Su Yunmeng thought this, her eyes reddened.
But she smiled.
"I just wanted to know how you've been lately, I didn't mean anything by it."
Also, has something really happened to the Jing family?
Why would he end up delivering food?
The person before him, once upon a time, was the person he loved and trusted most.
But now, Jing Xi looked up at her, her eyes distant and cold.
Whether it's good or bad is none of your business.
He walked past her and went outside.
The familiar scent dissipated in the wind, and Su Yunmeng's back stiffened.
She didn't chase after them.
A dozen seconds later, Jing Xi walked back on her own.
However, when Su Yunmeng looked up at him, he said coldly, "Make way."
"..."
His eyes flickered.
Su Yunmeng heard the sound of her own heart breaking.
She took a few steps back, stunned.
The man had already gotten on the electric scooter and sped away.
