Chapter 20 A Pure-Hearted Young Man, A Little Teasing (20)

"Teacher, I've brought the materials you requested."

The boy's heavenly voice, like the sound of a piano, could touch people's hearts.

Rong Chang turned her head and slowly glanced at him, but could only see his handsome profile and deep features.

While An Hua and her homeroom teacher were still criticizing her, Rong Shang's attention was entirely focused on Xu Yan.

Across a desk, Xu Yan's teacher was praising him.

"Xu Yan, you got first place in the whole grade again this time. Your teacher is really happy for you."

"Thank you, teacher."

The boy looked indifferent, as if he had already gotten used to it.

However, Anning's father, upon hearing that someone else's child had achieved the top score in the entire grade, couldn't help but lash out at Rong Shang again.

"Look at them, they're both number one, but they're number one in the whole grade, and you're number one in the whole grade. You've completely embarrassed me!"

An Hua's angry roar caused everyone else in the office to turn around and look at him.

Rong Shang didn't care. She raised her hand to brush away the hair that had fallen across her forehead, and when she looked up unintentionally, she met Xu Yan's indifferent, dark eyes.

He was looking at her too.

Although his expression remained indifferent, Rong Shang could still see him furrow his brow.

Not long after, Xu Yan put down the documents in his hand and left, while Rong Shang was inevitably scolded by An Hua in front of the other teachers. It wasn't until later that he received a phone call and had to leave early due to an urgent matter that he hurriedly left the office.

It was already after school, and since An Hua had left, there was nothing more for Rong Chang to do here. She left the office and prepared to go back to her classroom to get her schoolbag and then go home.

Who knew that as they passed Class 1, a slender figure would suddenly dart out.

Why did you hand in a blank exam paper? Did you not know how to do it?

The boy's magnetic voice rang out from above.

Rong Shang raised her head and glanced at him lazily, then continued walking towards Class 7 without saying a word.

Xu Yan followed closely behind her, step by step.

Didn't I tell you to review?

He asked again, his tone sounding somewhat anxious.

Rong Chang stopped in her tracks abruptly.

As soon as she stopped, Xu Yan stopped as well.

"Review?" Rong Shang turned around and glanced at him. At this moment, Xu Yan's delicate eyebrows revealed a hint of helplessness.

It's like saying, "See? I told you not to rush into dating and to focus on your studies, but you wouldn't listen!"

Rong Shang chuckled, amused. "What's the point of reviewing if I didn't even listen in class?"

She was telling the truth; Anning was always like that.

As for her, she had always wanted to get last place, so not having to fill out the test paper saved her some effort.

Xu Yan frowned. "You still have the nerve to talk back?"

He seemed quite angry about her submitting a blank exam paper.

Rong Shang stared at him for a while, then took a step and walked towards him.

The girl's delicate and beautiful face was reflected in his dark silhouette. Xu Yan was stunned for a moment and took a step back.

Just then, Rong Shang's voice came, "Xu, are you worried about me?"

"Since you care so much about whether I'm studying hard, then you should tutor me."

She stated her purpose without any hesitation.

Xu Yan's expression froze, as if he hadn't expected this.

He opened his mouth, about to respond to her, when...

Another voice came from behind.

"Ningning."

It's Chen Mo.

Chen Mo and Xu Yan were classmates in the same class. When he saw Xu Yan walking with An Ning, he quickly chased after them.
