When Rong Shang met his gaze, she noticed the hint of interest hidden in his eyes, and turned her face away expressionlessly.
Then they heard Allen say to Naberty, "Your Highness, I suggest we start with a thorough search of the castle."
Upon hearing this, Rong Shang immediately turned her head to look at Allen.
Perhaps noticing her gaze, Allen smiled slightly and then deliberately slowed his tone as he said, "Especially the humans who have been captured, we must find out their identities clearly."
Oh, I should say "especially that Helian Junmo".
Frowning, Rong Shang finally understood why he had looked at her like that earlier.
Her expression was displeased, but just then, Allen turned his head and glanced at her, asking her, seemingly unintentionally, "Your Highness, do you think I'm right?"
"And what do you think?" Rong Shang raised an eyebrow, her smile forced.
“I think it’s absolutely necessary…” Allen paused, then grinned, revealing his bright white teeth, “…Search!”
"..."
“Yes.” It was unclear whether Bertie and Allen were thinking the same thing, but he gave Rong Shang a cold glance before nodding in agreement. “The search will begin tomorrow!”
"If I find these arrogant fools, I'll drink their blood dry."
As dawn was approaching, Bertie waved and led his servants back to the castle.
Rong Shang and Allen, who remained behind, looked at each other, one indifferent and the other with a smile.
Finally, Rong Shang turned her face away and was about to leave, but out of the corner of her eye she saw Allen reach out to grab her, so she stopped and dodged to the side.
The timing was perfect; Allen's outstretched hand missed its target and froze in mid-air.
With an indifferent shrug, Allen stared intently at her. After a couple of seconds, he said meaningfully, "Your Highness, given your noble status, why don't we start the investigation from those around you tomorrow?"
"Oh?" Rong Chang raised an eyebrow. "Does the Earl think that I have the best chance of finding the Blood Hunter?"
"No, not at all." Alan's fingertips brushed against his lips, his gaze becoming strangely ambiguous. "I was just thinking about Her Highness's safety."
"After all, if something goes wrong with you, where am I supposed to find another wife?"
Rong Shang's face was indifferent, "..."
"boring."

Helian Junmo woke up just as dawn was breaking. The bedroom was quiet and pitch black, but Rong Shang was nowhere to be seen.
Thinking of everything that happened last night, Helian Junmo raised his hand to pinch his aching brow, an unnatural blush still hanging on his handsome face.
A moment later, he threw off the covers, got out of bed, took some clean clothes, and went to the bathroom to take a shower. When he came out, he found the clothes he had taken off the night before under the sofa.
A jumble of clothes fell into his eyes, and the passionate scene of their entanglement last night flashed before his eyes. Helian Junmo pursed his thin lips, feeling his heart race for a moment.
He bent down, his fair and slender hands picking up the clothes from the ground. He Lianjunmo was about to take them to the bathroom to wash them clean.
But when his gaze fell on the white shirt above, Helian Junmo remembered that last night Rong Shang had sniffed his shoulder and said, "You smell so good, but why does this scent not smell like yours?"
The fragrance wasn't his; it was left behind by the passerby he had rescued.
But Rong Shang looked disgusted last night, so without thinking, he picked up the white shirt and threw it directly into the trash can.
