I really don't know if he's genuinely like that or if he's just pretending.

He wondered if what the people outside were saying was true.
It was 6:30, and Rong Shang still hadn't arrived.
The office phone rang.
The assistant answered the phone.
After listening to his report to Hua Xiaojiu, he learned that Chen Xinlan had arrived and wanted to see him, asking if he would allow her to see him.

He turned around and saw Hua Xiaojiu grinning at the surveillance video.
The assistant shivered inexplicably. Could it be that he had fallen for Chen Xinlan?

It caused her to lose her job.

He was staring blankly into space, while the woman on the other end of the monitor was waiting at the front desk.
