She was too close. Mu Jin looked at her features so close to his own and smelled her pleasant fragrance.
His heart started racing for no reason. He looked away, his eyes darting around, and finally turned his face away, not intending to look at her.
With a slight smile, Rong Shang stared at his handsome profile for a few seconds before obediently returning to her seat.
At this moment, the shadows of the trees passing by outside the window cast layers of shadows on her delicate face.
Her rosy lips curved slightly, a playful smile on her face. "Mu Jin, are you angry with me?"
"..."
He pursed his lips, his dark eyes revealing a hint of indifference.
He didn't say anything, but the girl beside him kept asking, "Is it because of An Chen?"
Her breath caught in her throat, and Mu Jin frowned deeply.
He suddenly turned his head to look over, then shouted at Rong Shang, "Shut up!"
He hated it when she called that person's name!
Knowing what he was thinking, Rong Shang looked at him for a few seconds. She saw that he was filled with disgust for An Chen inside and out.
She smiled again, her lips parted.
I don't understand what she's laughing at.
In fact, Mu Jin found her reaction utterly ironic.
His face was tense, so he simply turned his face away and closed his eyes.
Well, out of sight, out of mind.
So, on the way back to the Xia family, Mu Jin didn't say another word.
No matter what Rong Shang said, or whether she was going to apologize to him or say something to please him, Mu Jin ignored her from beginning to end.
Finally, Rong Shang clicked her tongue and could only say one thing: This Mu Jin is really hard to coax.
*
At nine o'clock at night, there was not a breath of wind outside, and the air was inevitably a bit muggy.
After getting out of the car near the Xia family's residence, the two did not exchange any words and entered the residence one after the other.
During this time, Madam Xia noticed that the atmosphere between them was a bit strange, so she asked a few more questions, "What happened?"
"Did you two have a fight?"
Both of them replied to her, "No, we didn't have any conflict."
That being said, the two of them then went upstairs one after the other because they didn't want to stay in the same living room.
Of course, once they got upstairs, Rong Shang went back to her room to do her homework.
As for Mu Jin, let's talk about him when he's calmed down.
And so, the two began a cold war.
No, in Mu Jin's opinion, this cold violence was just him being delusional; perhaps the other person never even intended to pay attention to him.
Feeling a strange heaviness in his chest, Mu Jin glanced at the closed door in front of him, pursed his lips, and turned to enter the guest room next door.
With a loud "bang".
He slammed the door shut, trying to vent his frustration.
Time passed slowly, and soon it was late at night.
Downstairs, the Xia couple had already turned off the lights and gone to bed, but Rong Shang's room still had a warm-colored table lamp on.
She had already finished her homework, and now she was sitting on the bed in her pajamas, the sound of the boy's footsteps pacing back and forth in his room coming from time to time.
Rong Shang knew he was very irritable.
She was annoyed because she was with An Chen.
She had originally planned that as long as he took the initiative to talk to her, she would explain to him that she didn't actually like An Chen, but just wanted to teach him a lesson.
Ke Rongshang waited for him for a long time, until she started to feel sleepy, but he still didn't come.
At midnight, she turned off the light and lay down to rest.
Just over ten minutes later, when Rong Shang was about to fall asleep, a sound suddenly came from the corridor outside the door.
