Chapter 582 The Internet God is Too Arrogant 22

"Oh," Rong Shang replied, but her feet walked towards Rong Xun, who was sitting on the bed playing on the computer.

As the footsteps grew closer, Rong Xun's heart raced. He feigned composure and turned his head to look. "Didn't you want to borrow a hairdryer?"

"Okay." Rong Shang nodded. "But before I borrow the hair dryer, I have something to ask you."

She finally came over and sat down on his bedside without saying a word.

In an instant, a blush appeared on Rong Xun's face.

He seems to blush easily lately.

Afraid that the woman beside him would tease him again, he got out of bed and picked up the remote control from the bedside table, saying, "It's a bit hot, do you mind if I turn on the air conditioner?"

"Open it."

Rong Shang knew what he was really thinking, but she didn't expose him. Instead, she watched his retreating figure with interest and asked, "Rong Xun, have you thought through what you promised me?"

"..."

"There are still three and a half days left."

She added casually, as if reminding him of something.

After a silence of about ten seconds, Rong Xun put down the remote control in his hand, turned his back to Rong Shang, and sat down on the edge of the bed. "I don't know what to write."

"Hmm?" Rong Shang was somewhat surprised.

"I don't know why, but no matter how I wrote the later parts, I couldn't get the same feeling as the original."

It was as if the story didn't unfold the way he had imagined.

A few days later, Rong Xun seemed to no longer want to hide it from her, and he told her the truth, expressing all his concerns.

Rong Shang heard this, and she frowned, unsure of what to say.

But they changed the subject, asking, "Why did you decide to write about such a spiritual pearl?"

"Don't you think it's pretty fake?"

Turning around, Rong Xun glanced at Rong Shang, then lowered his eyes. As his long eyelashes fell on his fair skin, for some reason, Rong Shang could see a hint of loneliness and desolation on his face.

"No," she denied immediately.

Rong Xun was somewhat taken aback. "Why?"

“Because…” Rong Shang moved her red lips, as if she wanted to say something, but the words changed as soon as they came out of her mouth, “You wrote very well, it sounds like there is such a thing.”

Rong Shang smiled casually, then slowly lowered her eyes, a deep meaning flashing in her shimmering gaze.

Rong Xun glanced at her; the expectant look in his eyes had dimmed.

To be honest, he's probably the only one in the world who believes in the existence of the Spirit Pearl.

But he really felt that the spirit pearl looked familiar; besides in his dreams, he seemed to have seen it in reality as well.

Just then, a faint sound came from the other side of the bed. Rong Xun was still immersed in his thoughts about the Spirit Pearl when suddenly, his hand was grabbed.

When he looked up, the woman was already on the bed beside him.

Her heart pounded. Rong Xun's deep, dark gaze slowly moved up from her graceful figure in her nightgown, finally settling on her delicate and sculpted features. Then, their eyes met.

A few seconds later, he finally couldn't resist and pushed her down, leaning over to cover her.

"Chi Yue, I have something I want to tell you."

He had been interrupted by her phone call while he was outside, and now she was right beneath him. Unable to resist, Rong Xun lowered his head and whispered in her ear.

As his warm breath caressed her cheeks, Rong Shang heard his slightly husky, sexy voice say tenderly, "Chi Yue, will you go out with me?"
