Director Jiang and his assistant, "..."
How did I suddenly get fed a bunch of PDA?
"Alright," Director Jiang said, feeling deeply regretful.
He knew, of course, that Rong Xun was joking. In reality, his real intention in talking about having a second child was that he didn't want to enter the entertainment industry.
They chatted for a few minutes on the deck until someone on the cruise ship called Rong Xun's name, at which point they stopped talking.
"Go in." Director Jiang turned to his assistant and said this, then told Rong Xun and went into the cruise ship before Rong Xun.
Behind him, Rong Xun put his arm around Rong Chang's waist and followed closely behind.
However, just as they took their first steps, a resentful gaze was fixed on their backs on the beach.
In that instant, Rong Chang seemed to sense it.
She tilted her head slightly to listen to the sounds outside, then stopped in her tracks.
As soon as she stopped, Rong Xun looked over in confusion, "Chi Yue?"
"Rong Xun, I suddenly realized I left my phone in the car and forgot to take it," Rong Shang lied.
Upon hearing this, Rong Xun immediately strode out, saying, "You go in first, I'll get it for you."
When it comes to how much he dotes on his wife, there is no one within a hundred miles who can compare to Rong Xun.
But just as he took a long stride, Rong Shang grabbed his arm. "No, didn't Uncle just call you? You go in, I'll get it myself."
With that, Rong Shang turned and walked towards the shore.
Behind him, Rong Xun squinted at her for several seconds until he was sure she was alright, then he stepped onto the cruise ship.
*
At night, the sky is filled with stars.
Tang Xin saw the woman on the deck suddenly stop, and she instinctively turned and ran to the back of the cruise ship.
Of course, without an invitation, she couldn't board the cruise ship.
But as she gazed at the dazzling fireworks, the image of that loving couple playfully bickering flashed through her mind. She pursed her lips, and her hands, which were at her sides, clenched into fists.
Since that incident more than six years ago, she has been infamous in the west of the city, and people around her have been openly and secretly cursing her.
No one wanted to approach her. Even when she went to work, the company's boss, after hearing about her exploits, not only publicly humiliated her but also secretly tried to force her into bed.
Her aunt scolded her for being shameless, saying that her own despicable behavior had dragged her uncle down with her.
As for her parents...
Well, let's not even mention that.
With a mocking smirk, Tang Xin thought of the pain she had endured over the past few years, and compared it to the perfect couple before her. She felt like she wanted to die.
Sometimes she wondered why things had come to this.
Biting her lower lip, Tang Xin's eyes flickered, and glistening tears welled up in her eyes.
Just then, a black shadow landed in front of her. The person arrived silently, and Tang Xin didn't notice at all.
Until that person smiled, and the same voice that had remained unchanged for years came through.
"Tang Xin, it really is you."
Tang Xin finally came to her senses.
She looked at the woman who had suddenly appeared in front of her, a flash of panic crossing her eyes. "Chi Yue?"
Six or seven years later, Tang Xin stood face to face with this woman again. She clenched her fists, feeling an overwhelming sense of resentment.
Just as the reporter said that year, Chi Yue was a winner in life, while she and her uncle were nothing more than cannon fodder and victims in this play.
"What are you doing here?" Rong Shang asked casually, glancing at her with a leisurely look in her eyes.
"I came here for a walk."
