"Tsk, we meet again."
His dark, deep gaze fell on her face. Fu Beiyao stared at her for a while before slowly taking long strides toward her.
The night was thick, and the man, dressed in a deep red robe, exuded a bewitching aura.
After a moment, he stopped in front of her.
As his vision cleared, Fu Beiyao chuckled and lowered his head. "Actually, even if you hadn't come, I was just thinking of going to find you."
His words were loaded with meaning.
Rong Shang glanced at him, raised an eyebrow, and said with a hint of amusement, "Oh, really?"
"Then what brings you here, Tenth Master?"
“Let’s take a walk.” The man’s thin, captivating lips curled into a smile. He lowered his head again, and his exquisitely handsome features were reflected in the woman’s almond-shaped eyes.
"Do you believe me?" he added at the end, and his long arm reached out and wrapped around her waist from behind.
Caught off guard, Rong Shang bumped into the man's firm chest. That familiar scent emanated from him. She smiled meaningfully, then said, "Fu Beiyao, do you think Fu Jingchen has some kind of secret?"
This was the first time she hadn't pushed him away; just listening to what she said, Fu Beiyao felt uneasy once again.
"What, what did he do behind your back?"
His gaze was intense as Fu Beiyao stared intently at her.
But Rong Shang shook her head. "He's very good to me, but I've always felt that he has a secret he doesn't want me to know."
"For example?" Fu Beiyao raised an eyebrow, his delicate features exuding a captivating charm.
“For example…” Rong Shang paused, glancing over, before continuing, “His affair with you.”
As soon as the woman finished speaking, Fu Beiyao felt a sharp pain in his hand as Rong Shang grabbed his hand that was wrapped around her waist.
The next second, she forcefully pulled him away, and Fu Beiyao frowned as Rong Shang stepped out of his arms.
Then, she grabbed his hand and lifted him up.
The sleeves rolled down to reveal a small section of fair skin.
In the empty courtyard, soft light streamed down. Rong Shang squinted slightly and saw a faint row of teeth marks on Fu Beiyao's wrist.
These teeth marks were from when Fu Jingchen asked her to bite him during the day to apologize for not returning to his room last night.
It's unclear whether it was a momentary lapse of judgment on his part, or whether he thought she was too shy to say it and was just making it up casually.
In conclusion, this row of teeth marks is now the best evidence that Fu Jingchen and Fu Beiyao are the same person.
"Tsk, it really is you." Rong Shang said meaningfully, her shimmering eyes revealing a hint of amusement.
Fu Beiyao first looked at her with a puzzled expression, then followed her gaze and his expression froze for a moment.
Before she could examine it closely, Fu Beiyao withdrew his hand.
“That maidservant is such a handful; she had to leave a row of teeth marks on my wrist.”
He smiled slightly, his tone carrying a hint of flippancy.
Rong Shang knew he was saying this on purpose for her to hear. She took a step closer and said with a half-smile, "If Tenth Master hadn't said anything, I would have thought I had bitten your wrist."
“No.” Fu Beiyao was taken aback for a moment, then he lowered his head and whispered intimately in her ear, “However, I can let you try.”
After he finished speaking, as he was about to step back, he deliberately turned his head, and his warm, thin lips brushed against her smooth cheek.
