All that could be heard was the clattering of high heels on the ground. Some people looked up and saw two women walking towards them, one after the other.
Walking in front was Bai Xue, the bride of the night. Her hair was disheveled and her wedding dress was dirty.
I don't know what happened; her face was pale, and her expression suggested that she was not in a good condition.
Walking behind was the eldest daughter of the Yan family, whom many people recognized.
Was this... an argument or a fight?
Many people were startled and immediately got up and gathered around.
Once they had Bai Xue and Rong Shang in the middle, the Chu family stepped forward, and then...
Chu Fan's pupils widened in shock, and he instantly retreated from the crowd, stammering, "You, you, you, you..."
Are you alright?
Good heavens, is he hallucinating?
How did I end up seeing Yan Ran here?
"Of course I'm fine."
A familiar voice came from the crowd. Si Yunting paused in his smoking. He first looked up, but did not see Rong Shang. He quickly stubbed out his cigarette and got up to walk into the crowd.
"Yun Ting, where are you going?"
The old lady's voice came from outside. Almost at the same time, Rong Shang raised her eyes, and Si Yunting had already squeezed through the crowd and walked in.
Then, his sharp gaze swept over her, finally settling on her arm.
"What’s wrong with you?"
Worried, Si Yunting grabbed Rong Shang's arm, but accidentally touched her wound. She hissed and frowned.
Knowing she was in pain, Si Yunting's expression darkened further. "How did you get hurt?"
As he said this, he looked at Bai Xue beside him. When she met his sharp gaze, she pursed her lips and subconsciously said, "Yan Ran scratched herself, it has nothing to do with me."
Before the words could even be spoken—
The woman in front of him had already embraced Si Yunting, and tears streamed down her face.
"Yunting, I'm so scared. Do you know I almost died just now?"
What?
Is it that serious?
In short, everyone present looked at each other with very strange expressions.
Si Yunting's face turned cold, but he controlled his emotions and spoke gently to the woman in his arms, "What's wrong? What happened?"
"Didn't you say that Bai Xue wanted to talk to you?"
One sentence from Bai Xue immediately thrust her into the eye of the storm.
People around her all turned to look at her.
Bai Xue was terrified. "She, she tripped and fell because she wasn't walking properly. It has nothing to do with me."
As she spoke, Bai Xue quickly squeezed next to Chu Fan, but the man's face was heavy, his brows were furrowed, and he stared motionlessly at the woman being held in Si Yunting's arms.
Just then, Rong Shang lifted her head from Si Yunting's arms, crying, and then accused him, "I had a few words with Bai Xue, but I didn't expect her to be so cruel as to push me off the rooftop."
"Oh my god."
Exclamations of surprise rang out from all around as Rong Shang uttered those words.
Rong Shang, however, remained unaffected and continued speaking, "I was terrified at the time. In my panic, I grabbed the railing and struggled to climb up."
Needless to say, the injury on her hand must have been caused while climbing up to the rooftop.
After he finished speaking, the surrounding area was already buzzing with discussion.
Chu Fan swallowed hard, seemingly relieved.
Oh, I see.
Bai Xue was shocked. "No, that's not how it is. Don't listen to her nonsense."
"She is clearly lying."
