Chapter 151 The Vampire Queen Must Save Herself (Part 13)

On the other side, although night had fallen, Alvin's castle was brightly lit.

Not long after leaving the Papacy, the Knight Commander appeared in the castle.

The moment the Knight Commander failed to find Alvin, he knew the man had escaped; however, there was no way he could escape...

Behind the knight commander were three black-clad knights. All three were very strong, two of whom had reached the high rank and were among the top combatants in the Holy See, possessing extremely terrifying strength.

"Sir Knight, shall we investigate the whereabouts of Earl Alvin?" the leading man in black asked respectfully.

Knight Commander Andrei, his eyes cold beneath his armor, glanced at him dismissively: "This matter is somewhat unusual; there's no rush to find someone."

"Yes, Commander Knight!"

"Hmm." Nodding, Andrei turned around and continued, "Take men and search this castle. Remember, you don't necessarily have to find him, but I'm letting you set foot on every inch of this land."

"Understood." The three black-clad knights bowed their heads in unison.

"The castle is riddled with vampire formations and traps. Bring the sacred relic, and remember, no matter the cost, I want you to ensure you don't miss a single spot."

\"yes!\"

...This battle, intended as a warning, was forced to be postponed due to Alvin's absence...

Deep underground in the darkness, there was an empty tomb. Alvin lay in an open coffin, beads of sweat rolling down his face, which was as pale as paper.

He was gasping for breath like a fish out of water, his chest heaving violently, waves of sharp pain shooting through his body, giving him the illusion that he was about to suffocate. Only in the graveyard he had built for himself could he find a semblance of peace.

"The Pope... he really did tamper with my body."

This was the first thing Alvin said after regaining consciousness.

After being tricked by the Vatican on the battlefield, he thought day and night about how to get rid of the influence of the Holy Power, but the clearest impression in his mind was when he opened his eyes and saw his companions around him with their skin peeled off.

Is the Papacy really no match for them? Humans reproduce too quickly; they can easily overwhelm the vampires with sheer numbers. Even ants can kill an elephant. Alvin, however, is unwilling to accept the Queen's appeasement; he simply wants to vent the vampires' anger.

I never expected to encounter a little girl who is like a queen, and she actually came to the dirty and smelly human world.

If she were a princess of the vampire clan, how could he dare to take her back in his current state?

No, no matter what, we have to find a way to delay until our counterattack comes into play.

Alvin hardened his resolve, slowly closed his eyes, and tried his best to gather his mental energy, attempting to find out exactly where his body had been tampered with, but he failed several times.

"No, we can't keep dragging this on."

Even hiding far away didn't work; it seemed he still had to face this danger targeting him. After thinking for a moment, Alvin set off on his way back to the castle.

Although the battle came a little later, the Knight Commander was obviously more at ease with the search without Alvin present. After finding many small items that were quite powerful but harmless, he was about to call it a day when Alvin arrived.

“Count, I knew your blood was very precious. The Pope asked me to inquire on his behalf, where did you use it?” Knight Commander Andrei was prepared to provoke trouble first. As long as the other party made the first move, he would always be on the side of justice. This was what the Pope had taught him.

"It's my own blood, I can give it to whomever I want, and it's none of his business if I spill it for fun, right?" Alvin said, never afraid of anyone when it came to his words.

"That being said, Count Wilt is already in place, and I hope you won't let that hold you back. Remember, it was the Pope who gave you a second life; otherwise, you'd end up like those who came before..."

Alvin's comrade's tragic fate was always his Achilles' heel, and he launched an attack just as Knight Commander Andre had predicted.

Weakened vs. at his peak, this battle undoubtedly ended in Alvin's defeat. He glanced at his injuries: his left arm had been torn off, and his right leg had been pierced. Although he had done everything in his power, desperately trying to heal himself with his bloodline, it was still to no avail.

He knew that if Andri wanted to take his life, he would have already used the Vatican's sacred artifacts; there was no need to wait until now. This was a show of force, but... this time they really went all out.

Alvin forced himself to stand up with his injured leg and was about to say something when another voice rang out from the darkness.

"Knight Commander, I have a question... Hmm? Your aura is so familiar, who are you?"

Alvin and Andrei were both stunned. He looked up and around, but there was no one there. Then, a dark figure appeared out of thin air.

"Earl Wilt?" Andri looked at the dark figure warily. How did he manage to get out?

"Don't worry, I'll be back in a bit, it won't cause any panic."

Wilt's special ability is spatial teleportation. He secretly placed a mark on the Knight Commander, actually because he wanted to make it easier to return to the Holy See.

Surprisingly, the knight commander wasn't on duty; he seemed to still be fighting with some strange vampire. As an earl, he could naturally distinguish between artificial and purebred vampires.

Upon hearing this, Alvin frowned, looking at the simple-minded new count before him. He was somewhat surprised and annoyed by his lack of ambition. Is this how you use the special ability that vampires use as a trump card?!

After a moment's hesitation, Alvin said, "Gentlemen, why don't we go inside to talk?"

"Sit down."

Upon entering the castle, he pointed to the sofa opposite him and addressed a group of papal figures. They made no attempt to stand on ceremony and sat down on the sofa, including Wilt.

"You can do as you please. This conversation shouldn't concern me, so I won't introduce myself or anything."

Seeing that his self-healing ability seemed to have returned, Alvin only wanted to make himself look presentable first, and as the master of the castle, he left first.

Unbeknownst to the others, the bat system, sensing the male protagonist's spatial fluctuations, also rushed to the vicinity of the castle to spy on him.

Come to think of it, all the power the host transferred to it has been used for reconnaissance, tracking, and traveling. Could it be that it got used to intelligence gathering in the last world...?

With the help of the Bat System, although she didn't see the fight, Yu Ling remotely saw Alvin's miserable state. As a seasoned spy, she immediately connected many questions to the situation.

First, the discord between Alvin and the Vatican is obvious, and the strangeness of his wounds proves that the Vatican has now developed an energy to suppress the self-healing power of vampires. The remaining conjectures are still uncertain and require further observation.

Sensing that something was amiss, Yu Ling once again focused her attention on the Bat System's surveillance.
