It was the standard face of a handsome prince from a fairy tale world, with three-dimensional and handsome features, and his eyes and brows looked affectionate and deep. Combined with his bulging muscles, he instantly gave off the image of a handsome male mother.
Yu Ling stared wide-eyed at the doll.
"Why are you jealous if you don't want to touch a wizard? Are you envious of a merman's body? I have a lot of large dolls in my inventory. How about we switch places? Stay here. As long as you pay, I can help you with anything."
The black market boss was indeed playing big games. He looked down on mortal humans but set his sights on a pile of cotton. He didn't know that Yu Ling was actually dual-wielding; he just wanted to learn more about this puppet Yu Ling... and his money.
"You really... um... let me think about it." The puppet Yu Ling summoned the water snake again, pretending to be a real peacock, to get a close look at the black market boss. But what made him agree was not the beauty, but the other party's power and connections.
I still have side quests to complete, right? It's better to hand them over to the black market boss than to that trash system.
The system fish that Yu Ling finally remembered could never have imagined that, despite its hard work, it was still considered trash in the eyes of its host—the pitiful system.
"Hmm, alright then. Since you're so kind to invite me, I'll reluctantly stay by your side. But I'll be sleeping most of the time, and I don't need that big doll body. I quite like my current little mermaid form."
The puppet Yu Ling accompanies the black market boss as a pendant, and subtly influences the system fish to move the mermaids and the protagonist towards the black market's territory, so that the main body can secretly go down to give the mermaids a boost to purify their bloodline, and also speed up the process of producing offspring.
Yu Ling, with her merman body, bought a minor noble status in the Kingdom of Lunke from a black market dealer. She rarely left her home, was served by Pai Liu every day, and had refined servants who took perfect care of her in every way. Her life couldn't be more comfortable.
The completion of the side quest is obvious. The system fish has finally achieved its goal and is kept in the house by Yu Ling. The task of imprisoning the protagonist has been handed over to the newly established Merfolk Kingdom, which is growing stronger. Yu Ling is still their queen.
Meanwhile, the doll Yu Ling starts exchanging ocean trash (treasures) for gold coins, spending lavishly on the black market, and playing games with the pretty waitress sisters/brothers.
The black market boss was so embarrassed by how much money he was making that he even considered offering himself as compensation to the doll Yu Ling. However, the other party declined the water snake game, saying he couldn't bear the loss of face. Instead, he preferred to see the black market boss perform the same routine he had given to Pai Liu, putting on a personal show.
This scene cost money for the puppet Yu Linghua, so I won't be showing it to everyone for free. In short, it's incredibly cheesy!
And so, Yu Ling lived a year of extravagance in the fairytale world, spending her most lavishly since she began her survival journey, squandering the original owner's fortune as if she wouldn't be able to spend it all before she left.
