Although this crappy ice-type superpower can only cool things down, unlike those fantasy movies where ice shards fly everywhere with a wave of the hand, its destructive power is not outstanding, and it seems pretty useless.
However, the ability to freeze over a wide area is still quite good if used as a control skill.
In actual combat, using this tactic can effectively delay the zombie horde's attack, allowing you to work with your teammates to achieve a synergistic effect where 1+1 is greater than 2.
Overall, it's barely enough to surpass a C-level ability user with mediocre damage output.
In terms of individual combat, they might not be as good as a regular B-level soldier.

Seeing her teammates' words of concern, Jiang Xue felt comforted, but apart from major missions involving the base, she still preferred to act alone.

The two younger men nodded and smiled in agreement, while the girls rolled their eyes. Of course they were worried about their captain, a girl, going out alone.

The group had already noticed that their captain was accompanied by an unfamiliar woman.
The man was wearing a clean and tidy white coat on the outside, but his clothes underneath were tattered and covered in mud and bloodstains, as if he had just finished a battle. His long hair was disheveled and hanging down, making it impossible to see his face, but he had a very refined and noble demeanor.
"Hello, my name is Chen Xiaoqing, you can call me Dr. Chen."
When Yu Ling saw that the group was looking at her, she took a few steps forward and greeted them in a graceful manner.

The men immediately called out respectfully, their faces solemn.
Even before the apocalypse, the title of "doctor" was highly respected, signifying a person with advanced knowledge.
"Alright, everyone, please have a seat."
Jiang Xue gestured for everyone to sit down, and then said,
"Now, let me introduce our new member to you. This is... a friend I just met, the famous virologist Dr. Chen."
After introducing Yu Ling to her teammates, Jiang Xue turned to Yu Ling and gestured.
"These are Wang Guoqiang, Zhao Minghao, Zhou Yuan, Gao Qiqi, and Zhou Yunfei; they are all members of our team."
Afterwards, Jiang Xue gave a brief introduction to their respective superpowers. Apart from Jiang Xue's S-level lightning ability and Yu Ling's fabricated B-level ice ability, everyone else was A-level.
Wang Guoqiang is a muscular, strong man whose superpower is strength-based. The man next to him, Zhao Minghao, who gives off a gentle and aloof vibe, is a fire-based superpower.
Looking further ahead, Zhou Yuan, the girl with a dress and ponytail, is of the water element; Gao Qiqi, a cool girl with short hair and a tall figure, is of the metal element; and Zhou Yunfei, the youngest freshman with a baby face, is the rarest healing type.
The two strongest abilities should be strength and fire. This distribution is quite even, since bullets can take care of most low-level zombies in the apocalypse, and two or three main attackers are enough for a team.
"Captain, you mean you rescued Dr. Chen from outside?"
When Jiang Xue explained to the group, she slightly embellished her interactions with Yu Ling. After listening, the group looked at Jiang Xue with great awe.
Although they knew Jiang Xue was very capable, they were still incredibly shocked to hear firsthand that she had saved a seemingly high-ranking PhD.
